Forgoes everything we've worked for in getting younger and maintaining roster flexibility. Would be a move reminiscent to old Sather, making the big bang with star trades that don't work out and eat up cap room. I think Nash definitely improves the chances to win this year, but keeping the kids allows us to be contenders for years to come. Erixon and Miller could be mainstays as early as next season, and Thomas' scoring prowess could have him on a PP line sooner than later.

To be honest, and maybe I'm being a homer or valuing the farm too highly.. I thought this was too much for Nash. I'm thrilled the move wasn't made. Howson might be banking on the playoff teams tanking and overpaying in the summer, which isn't a terrible idea. Just risky.

Damn, looking back at it.. post game buffets stood no chance back in '03/'04.. Michael Sweetney, Clarence Weatherspoon, and Jackie Butler definitely put a few restaurants out of business. And Vin Baker ran a few bars out of town. #neverfull

Some teams got stuck with Melo, Lebron, Bosh, Wade.. we were blessed with Michael Sweetney at #9. We were also gifted twice more in the 2nd round with Maciej Lampe and Slavko Vranes. Truly a magical day in Knicks history.
