They left soft spots for Gore to gobble up years, gave Davis a soft spot which allowed him to turn upfield.. if you want to address my point, it'd be the soft prevent defense teams use when they have a small lead with little time left. Did I overstate with "half the field"? Yup. Is 18 "gimme" yards on a final drive a big chunk? Yup.

It always drives me a little nuts when teams let their foot off the gas and play a prevent on those final drives, the 9ers had half the field already before Davis made those catches!

Nah they were good with the Lee deal, the Mariners just preferred Smoak.. Mariners countered us to add Nunez, and we balked. Montero will be great, his power numbers will just suffer a bit in Seattle. Pineda will be great too. Both getting better. Great baseball trade.

I'm heartbroken that Montero is gone. He is my favorite thing. But I still think it was a great deal for us.

I dig it. We're setting our rotation for a decade. CC, Pinieda, Banuelos, Betances, and develop a 5th. Maybe we don't make this trade if we never deal Aroldys Vizciano (sp?) for Vazquez, oh well. I really like the trade.
