  1. He's worth what someone will pay for him. The point is that he's a contributing asset, when the pick could have been wasted regardless. Garrard is not a better fit, without even considering his impending back surgery. The Raiders utilize a very vertical passing game, and Palmer has a strong enough arm to fit the ball anywhere down the field.
  2. 2013 pick is a 2nd, that could conditionally become a 1st. Probably based around playoffs/performance enhancers. Raiders are all-in!

  4. I said it tongue in cheek regardless, but your arguement is regular season stats vs. postseason stats? When Amar'e was hurt in the playoffs anyway? Not sure what to say. How about Amar'e vs Blake's playoffs 0's?
  5. So your "welcome to the conversation" wasn't an intended insult? Come on, son. LOL.. you know that the ellipses means a continuation of a point, right? The body of the post went on to explain. But somehow you grasped something that wasn't there.. and for that, I congratulate you. Did you get completely flabbergasted when James Patterson's "Along Came a Spider" wasn't actually about a spider? Oh, I read what you said. You were mad at this: "Stafford's inability to lead the Lions down the field was a shock." This says that Stafford didn't lead the Lions down the field. Whether the 9ers stuffed him, picked him off, or he threw four straight passes into the stands.. he didn't lead the Lions down the field. How is this offensive in any way? Nearly everyone in here is telling you that you misinterpreted the point of the thread.. but you're still fighting the glorious fight. "Kid".. lol. The insult around here is that I'm old. Catch up! If you've seen better teams, act like it. There was nobody in here throwing flames at the 49ers until you created an argument out of nothing. Reading comprehension or bust.
  6. Welcome to the conversation that you're still not following? Weird.. the slow kid just tried to mock me. What makes the 49ers relevant to this topic? This wasn't about the 9ers/Lions game. It wasn't about an offense against a defense. It wasn't even about a team against a team. You're completely misinterpreting the thought process that went behind the post and are thus spinning it into something that it's not. This isn't about the 49ers. It's about the evolution of the Detroit Lions organization. It's about the resiliency that the Detroit Lions have shown this year. It's about the Detroit Lions ability to overcome deficits all season. It's about Matt Stafford's 4th quarter comebacks. It's about a long mocked team becoming one of high respect. Start a thread that pertains to the 49ers and their defense and I'm sure they'd get their "due respect". This thread isn't it. It was illustrating the Lions and how Lkr now feels that they have a chance to win every game, every week. How you twisted it into "respek da 9ers" is silly. Comb yo beard. You know a team and its fans aren't very used to winning when they feel the need to defend them in situations that aren't even offensive. Good Lord.
  7. Holy overreactions, Batman! Lkr is trying to illustrate that he now expects the Lions to win week in and week out, whereas it hasn't been like that in over a decade. Their loss came as a surprise to him, and he isn't used to having to say that.
  8. He finished with two interceptions and scored more points himself than the opposing team did. #oops #owned #revisisland
  9. Just can't say enough about this team so far. 4-2 entering the bye week that was so badly needed, and that's with a game that was thrown away against Seattle. Missing key players all over the field, the guys have just battled and played where and how they needed to play in order to get some W's. Eli has been fantastic, though the numbers don't do justice to just how well he's played. A Cruz handed INT and a garbage time tipped INT against Seattle skew the totals, as well as a few dropped/overturned TD passes this week against Buffalo. All of that considered, he has a QB Rating north of 100 and is on track for 4,741 yards and a 29/13 TD/INT total. Just as he did last year for stretches when the team was struggling, he's carried that offense with great efficiency. The offensive line transition has been a work in progress, but has been successful so far. A few injuries have forced backup guards at center and those types of shitty situations, but guys have generally held their own when asked (see: Boothe, Kevin against Buffalo). I think Beatty has been improving steadily at left tackle and seems to be a guy who'll be a mainstay for years. I like Baas a lot at center, as generally if he can get his hands on someone, the block is made with ferocity. Defensive line! Tuck has been hurt, Osi has been hurt, and the pressure is still there. Jason Pierre-Paul is morphing into an all-pro before our eyes. 7.5 sacks through 6 games for the sophomore, with Osi stepping up after his return and knotting 5 sacks with 2 FF. Even Tollefson has been lights out, 3 sacks and 2 FF in limited action. Linval Joseph has been solid against the run, and Canty and Bernard have been fine at the other tackle position. Biggest surprise? Linebacker play. Boley has finally looked like the guy we spent our money for, and Jacquian Williams has come out of nowhere to become a starter and the 4th leading tackler on the club. He's got great speed and it allows him to be great in coverage as well as rushing the QB. Once a 6th round pick afterthought, the guy has become a very important part of this defense. Great to see. Good job by Reese. Just can't wait to see what this team can do after the bye. We'll see the return of Justin Tuck, Chris Snee, Prince Amukamara, Henry Hynoski, Adam Koets (backup C and swing G), and Ramses Barden. Hopefully we can see some extended health and success moving forward!
  10. If any team is going to panic and trade a 1st round pick for a guy like Palmer in this situation, it's the Raiders. We'll shortly find out if the Al Davis style of football will live on in Oaktown.

  12. If the Raiders want to make the playoffs (and they're well on their way, at 4-2), there is no way they can start Terrelle Pryor or Kyle Boller.
  13. Yes, he made a nice short pass to Walker on a crossing route that was open in the red zone. No denying that. Just observing that he's probably in the bottom 5 regular QB's in yards, completions, attempts, etc. He's the definition of a game manager, and he's afforded that because they have a great back in Frank Gore. Not much is asked of him.
  14. 185 yards per game.. good thing they have a great running back!
