Awful, awful nickname. I want it to go away. Bad.

Most exciting is that I get to keep AP for a 2nd rounder next season

If you pick coach it is just franchise mode, you play the games and re-sign players and all that franchise bs

This team is in the semi-finals next week. Team now: QB - Josh Freeman WR - Andre Johnson WR - Randall Cobb WR - T.Y. Hilton HB - Ray Rice HB - Bryce Brown W/R/T - David Wilson K - Greg Zuerlein D/ST - Broncos BN - QB Robert Griffin III BN - HB Demarco Murray BN - HB Jonathan Dwyer BN - HB Maurice Jones-Drew BN - HB Montell Owens BN - WR Danny Amendola BN - WR Brandon Gibson BN - WR Donnie Avery BN - K Adam Vinatieri BN - D/ST Detroit Lions Tough sledding in this one as there are certainly teams better than mine, going to need a bit of luck to win the next two weeks. Good thing is that this is not for money

This team is in the finals next week. Looks a little different now: QB - Tom Brady HB - Adrian Peterson HB - Bryce Brown HB/WR - Mikel Leshoure WR - Julio Jones WR - Demaryius Thomas TE - Heath Miller K - Stephen Gostkowski D/ST - Seattle Seahawks BN - HB Jonathan Dwyer BN - HB Ryan Mathews BN - HB Jacquizz Rodgers BN - WR Pierre Garcon IR - TE Rob Gronkowski Going to need to find someone to fill in for Bryce Brown next week (most likely, if McCoy is back).. RB is definitely my biggest concern heading in, just gotta hope that Peterson remains on his all-world pace next weekend to make up for the lack of points I'll get from the other two slots. Also hoping Gronk can play, Heath has been great but the Gronk upside is too big.

This is a horrible thought process, and is a non-sequitur. Guns make it really damn easy to kill people. I don't think anybody here is saying to outlaw guns entirely, but requiring a background and mental health check every 2 years to renew a purchase license is a good start. Aurora would have never gotten his hands on one, and the Gabby shooter, who was denied entry to the army because he failed his mental health interview, wouldn't have either. It's impossible to stop these things entirely, but there are certainly ways to limit them. -

Wish it were as easy to get mental health treatment as it were to get, say, a gun. -
Shaliq's boy Chris Copeland getting the start tonight with Melo and Sheed both sitting.

I posted about this on the last page. "People were scared of him, the FBI was aware of him, his counselor from college was frightened and reaching out to law enforcement. With a little more time, all those red flags might've done some good and gotten some actionable attention. Or he might've just chickened out entirely when he realized he couldn't order mil-spec body armor online. What-ifs are generally bullshit, but tighter legislation would have made planning his massacre more time consuming, expensive, and dangerous." -

Just like it was too late for tobacco control before the government pushed them out. How many 22 man slasher jobs have you seen? Honestly, that's your defense? I love that you say "if someone knows how to use a knife well".. Bruce Lee could have killed 22 people with his hands. But crackjobs who snap and grab a gun are different from those trained with knives and/or martial arts. Right? A guy who snaps isn't going to take years of lessons to learn to use a knife well enough to murder 22, he's going to grab that easy access crowd killer and jump right in. Yes, someone physically can murder 22 people with a knife. But it's drastically more difficult than using an automatic weapon, and not something a disturbed 20 year old would likely accomplish.. Look at the situation I outlined. He tried to kill 22 people and they're all alive. You say criminals are criminals.. We aren't talking about Jerome from the hood who knows where to get crack and a glock. We're talking about a socially anxious nutjob.. Does he have the same access to that shit as Jerome? Or did he simply have easy Internet access to the shit he wanted? I love that "criminals are criminals" stuff.. Easy out for the GOP. Think about it. -

There was an attack in China on school children today, 22 attacked with a knife, 0 fatalities. You may believe that criminals would still get access to guns, but easy access to guns escalates situations without question. SOMETHING needs to be done about guns, it's time to stop denying it. Here's something I agreed with: -
