Not to rehash old issues, but I think tonight's game solidifies that it wasn't just Childress or Favre.

You could argue that, but Martin's played the past two seasons on a bum hip that was just operated on this offseason, while Cervelli was healthy as a horse. Cisco provided absolutely nothing at the plate or behind the dish, he was literally worthless this season. If he's a AAA guy brought up for emergencies, I'm down. Anything else and I'm tremendously dissatisfied. JMO.

Cervelli honestly deserves nothing. He deserves a one year, show me contract with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Martin, if healthy, is at worst a solid defensive catcher. At best he contributes at the plate as well. Either of those options would be a huge upgrade over Cervelli.
