  1. We definitely will have to a-to-d, because helmet to helmet hits are flagged on a regular basis from year to year regardless of injury. The flag was out on the hit, they didn't throw it because Collie was laying on the ground. If anything, I think the fans are the ones overreacting because of the whole "new enforcement policy". This 15 yard penalty had nothing to do with that.
  2. Taking the discussion away from certain people would be a Godsend.
  3. The league has flagged helmet to helmet hits on every noticeable occurrence for years. You are noticing that because of the added emphasis lately, but that has always been a penalty. You cannot make 15 yard helmet to helmet hits a judgment call for many reasons. It becomes far too subjective.
  4. What are you arguing? Helmet to helmet hits are 15 yard penalties and automatic first downs. There is no circumstance involved with the penalty, if you strike an offensive player in the helmet with your helmet, it is 15 yards. Coleman struck Collie in the helmet with his helmet.
  5. He hasn't been suspended or fined, take a deep breath.
  6. As I outlined earlier, it is written in the NFL rulebook that you are responsible for your helmet and where it ends up striking your opponent. A helmet to helmet hit is a penalty. You can't nitpick which occasion to call a penalty, it is too subjective. Strike a helmet with your helmet, 15 yards.
  7. A helmet to helmet hit has been a penalized play forever. You are responsible for the crown of your helmet and where it hits your opponent. Not sure what you're arguing, but glad you agree with me on the hit.
  8. Austin Collie turned upfield after catching the football? Totally excuses a helmet to helmet hit. I take back what I said.
  9. Just watched the replay about 5 times, Coleman nailed Collie in the side of the helmet with the crown of his helmet. Clear helmet to helmet hit.
  10. You'll have to watch the replay, I guess I will too... But Samuel (first hit) used his shoulder, second guy (didn't see who it was) got him helmet to helmet. I'll take another look, though...
  11. It was a helmet to helmet hit. A flag was deserved.
  12. Rosenfels and Jacobs show in the 2nd half? I don't think Ware is active, I could be wrong.
  13. Sidenote, doesn't matter if it was fumble or incomplete... the helmet to helmet flag gives the ball back to the Colts in either event.
  14. There was helmet to helmet by the second guy on the hit, not sure what you were watching AL. Big [expletive] you to everyone blasting the league for increasing the helmet to helmet punishment, THAT is why. Make sense yet? Jesus Christ it disturbed me having to see that. Un-[expletive]ing-necessary. By the way, Philly fans aren't helping themselves by booing the flag, and then further booing the obvious facemask penalty. Classy and well-informed fans there.
  15. Beckum knocks it free, Goff returns it to the 5.
  16. Running up the right sideline with the ball in your left hand, typical fumble situation. Used to this from the Giants, moving the ball with ease but turning it over. Let's go!
  17. Negative rep would be great on this board.
  18. I worked with his cousin in Philly, I should hit him up to see if it's true
