It is bad in certain situations, but a Godsend in others. Not everyone on Welfare is jobless and loving it, sitting on the beach sipping a Mai Tai. Some people have it hard, and you don't get it, because you are more fortunate than others. Not all Welfare is bad, what they need to do is a better job of regulating and checking up on who gets it. If you were married with a kid and not supported by your parents right now, working part time at a sneaker warehouse, you'd be in trouble. And Welfare would help you until you had a chance to better your opportunities.
