His career average is 4.9, but even if we go with the one year selected 4.4... over 300 carries that equates to a 120 yard difference over 4.0, and a 60 yard difference over 4.2.

Last year Jones was 2nd in the NFL in rushes and 28th in the NFL in yards per attempt. Just FYI.

Can you underrate someone with a 4.0 career YPC? That's average for a starter.

Stat whores are fun people to argue with. Jones was a product of their offensive line, which is one of the, if not THE, best in the league. If you don't think Shonn Green can average 4.2 yards over the course of a season, you haven't watched much Jets football. I hear the same thing from football fans outside the area, and I give them all the same response. If the Jets running game regresses this year, I'll be ready to eat crow. Believe me, I doubt it happens without an injury.

Last year the NFCE was 2nd in wins (34, behind only the AFCS, with 38) and I don't see the NFCN improving at all this offseason, especially with Favre still in lingo. You're all over the place here, saying Pitt has proven themselves, when they've done nothing but regress this offseason. Are you aiming for "what did you do last year?" or "what did you improve this offseason?" I'm not sure you have a constant theme going.

Shonn Green can more than make up for Jones' workhorse/4.2 YPC departure, and LT gives them a legit 3rd down back who can catch passes out of the backfield, which they lacked. They have a more complete backfield, and one that is younger (Green) and won't break down as quickly as Jones did.

I agree with you Poe, it is terrible that people base their religion on their family members and not what they learn, believe, and decide. You aren't a Christian because your parents were, you're a Christian because you've read and believe the Bible and plan to live your life by it. Most people are so ignorant of the Christian religion and then call themselves Christians that it's maddening. But, there's no way to prevent it. You have to hope that these kids will be able to make their own decisions once they're grown, and that they'll actually take the time to learn and understand whatever religion it is that they do decide to practice.
