US Forces kill innocent civilians

I'm going to stop here, because it is clear that you are cemented in your opinion and won't give any leeway, no matter what counterpoint is thrown in your direction. -

:sigh: Thankfully we get to sit behind a computer and criticize these troops. If you assumed every RPG resembling object was a tripod, you'd be dead. -
US Forces kill innocent civilians

You ignored my post, so I'll ask again: Was there any clear shot of children? Or were they in the van the whole time, out of view? I thought the report said the kids were injured inside of the van. We're defending what was going on in a warzone against people they believed to have weapons. They didn't walk up and maim a kid playing on a bicycle. -

+1 Sheed, at that point I legitimately was confused, I thought they said there were no weapons and shady sheister was ducking around the corner, staring at the chopper with, if it wasn't an RPG, it was the RPG model of new high tech camera. At that point, you could hear the terror in the guy's voice... If you're hit with an RPG in a chopper, it's game over. Life over. Yes, they were laughing during the aftermath and congratulating each other... I took the laughs as relief and the congratulations as taking down an enemy who, more often than not, kills you if you don't shoot first. Do you genuinely believe that they would have open fire and killed them if they knew they were cameras and not AKs? -

lol that's crazy... He should speak to the regional guy, rather than writing to Jobs... That store would get [expletive]ed. -
US Forces kill innocent civilians

I turned the video off before it was over, I probably watched about 6 minutes of it. When I turned it off, they had finished shooting the van and there was no more movement. Was there a point in the video when they saw kids being shot and were laughing about it? Or were they unknown to the choppers? I don't agree with the war, I am with you on that point. But the soldiers over there don't get to choose. Tell the soldiers dying in Iraq that there is no real war. -

This is why war film like this should not be released while a war is still underway. War is not something you understand unless you've been there. Good job by the video maker though, of angling it so that people can join his side. -

I would be thrilled if the Eagles drafted Tebow. As a Giants fan.

Anyone in the league should smile at the prospect of acquiring Noah.

Jordan Hill's stats with Rockets
NomarFachix replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
Hill is athletic, he has a decent shot (plus for his size and position), and he is a hustle guy. But, like others have said, he has a low basketball IQ and doesn't (didn't?) work hard. Like Fish said, anytime he was in the game, he'd try and make things happen that simply weren't there, and it was frustrating. In NY he was knocked a lot because he was pissed he wasn't getting PT and it showed in practice. While Toney Douglas was the first guy in the gym and the last to leave, it wasn't that way with Hill. He was too busy tweeting about being tired and getting his dreads done. If he has the proper work ethic and truly wants to become a plus player in this league, he absolutely has the ability to do so. But it's going to be a journey for the kid. I wish him the best, I love the Rockets and I love Jordan. -
Who gets the first T? Doc, Big Baby, Perkins, or Sheed?

If any spots open up, put me on a waiting list.
-
Hopefully he'll pitch in as few of those 162 as possible.
-
He'll get a chance whether I like it or not. We just haven't had a great track record of bringing NL relievers fresh off a career year to pitch in our bullpen. I was skeptical coming in, he certainly hasn't changed my mind yet.

Opening Day for the Other 28 Teams (4/5-4/6)
NomarFachix replied to Teletopez's topic in Baseball Gameday Discussion
Heyward is the truth. -
Viz had 3 good months out of 6, and Farnsworth is nothing more than mediocre. I'm not talking about Chan Ho not facing pressure in Philadelphia, more that he faced Washington and the Mets instead of Toronto and Baltimore... and that's talking lower depths of the division. If he works out, great... If not, I'm not surprised. I think Phil Hughes spoiled me.

During the Duke/WVU game my girlfriend kept calling him Voldemort.

Close and late, give me Kobe... Any situation, any point spread, any team, any defender.
-
Yeah I agree, I meant the guys you specifically mentioned in your response, Udoh excluded.

Maybe you have a more long term and generous memory of those two, but I couldn't wait to get either of them out of town. 4.33 ERA from Luis in his one year in NY, and 4.36, 4.80, and 3.65 (thankfully he pulled this for half a year, so we could get something for him from Detroit) from Farnsworth in his three... I'm looking for better out of an 8th inning guy.
-
Some of us just saw him as a guy who had a good year in the NL last year and had previously been a mess... He's a disaster waiting to happen in the ALE, and definitely not a guy I want in the 8th inning. Ever.
