Lin the player? Sure. I'd have loved to have him on the team. We were going to match the contract. He found out, went back and renegotiated a higher contract, "knowing" we'd match it. Dolan got pissed and called his bluff. In the end, he cost more than he deserved, would have been cap hell, tried to play the team, and is marginally better than Raymond Felton. Made the right decision.

I actually just found out about that stretch provision, where if you cut a guy before his last season the final year's payment is allowed to be paid off over a three year time period.. if that's true, and Lin sucks and we cut him after year 2 and get to spread the payments/cap hit out for three extra years, I'd be fine with re-signing him.

Pick a stance and sit on it for a while.. Do they? Because Woodson is a pretty demanding coach who preaches endurance. If he's not in shape, he won't play.. and he'll be running before and after all practices. Good thing we have Shumpert to defend them when it matters and our offense comes from SF and PF and not PG.
