LMAO typical Texans start the game off with a 94 yard run just to get 3 points. Seriously if were going to pull an upset today FG's aren't going to cut it.
-
There were some pretty bad calls that went in favor of the Ravens especially the call on Champ Bailey and the Boldin "catch" but there's missed and ticky tack calls every game. Sometimes you have to overcome the odds and it's not like Denver didn't have chances to put the Ravens away. I have to agree with this, I'm still scratching my head over that one. Denver killed themselves playing conservative football and giving up a couple of big plays at the ending of the game.
-
I felt in the back of my mind that the Ravens would upset the Broncos since they were do for a lose eventually, but I didn't believe it would actually happen. That being said was easily one of the best football games I've seen in a while great effort for both teams. I hope the Houston can pull some of the same magic tomorrow.

LOL honestly I hope you guys do win because I would love to see the Seahawks play the 9ers again or at least see the rematch between GB. I just fell the Falcons and most importantly Matt Ryan have a bigger chip on there shoulder then the Seahawks do coming into this game. Like I said though I won't be mad if Seattle wins since I actually like how they have been playing this year,

Sacramento Kings sold to a Seattle group
htownborn replied to Real Deal's topic in Sacramento Kings Team Forum
Same here as a Rockets fan I couldn't stand the Sonics because of our rivalry's in the late 80's and 90's, then when they left for OKC I actually felt bad for the fan base and city. It'll be nice to see a new Houston/Seattle rivalry all over again though, it's just not the same when the Rockets play OKC and speaking of which it's going to be interesting when the new Seattle team and OKC play each other. I also fell bad for the Kings fans they where one of my favorite teams doing the early 2000's with J-Will/Bibby, Christie, Peja, C-Webb, Divac, Turkoglu, and B-Jax. One of the most entertaining teams of that era. -
I'm just hoping for a closer game this time but I think the Pats win. Unless our secondary steps it up big time and our offense can score TD's instead of FG's
-
If this was in Seattle I would take the Seahawks but since its in the dome I'm going with the Falcons in a close one.
-
Damn that sucks for the Skins, I had high expectations for them and RG3 next season too. Hopefully Cousins learned all he can this season so he can help them out next year.
-
If our secondary and offense don't step up this game then Cincy could easily steal this one, not to mention I'm sure there motivated after last years playoff game between us. However I'm going with the Texans if we can run the ball effectively and remain turnover and penalty free for most of the game. If we play the way we have been playing the last 4 weeks then I'm worried.

Too many to name KC-(unless they draft Geno Smith or Matt Barkley in the draft) JAX-(Gabbert sucks and Henne's o.k but competition never hurts) BUF-(They should have never gave Fitz that extension) NYJ-(What do I have to say that hasn't been said this season yet for their QB situation) PHI- (Vick's day's in Philly are numbered and Foles has potential but as I said for the Jaguars competition never hurts) DAL-(After yesterday I think the Romo era will end soon. If not this offseason maybe next especially if they caan get Cousins) OAK-(Palmer is aging and not nearly as good as he used to be and there second best option is Terrell Pryor) HOU-(Ok not really but Schaub has pissed me off so much the last couple of weeks I really wouldn't mind us at least taking a shot at Cousins. This is wishful thinking though since Yates is our backup)

I think Peterson deserve's it but with the broncos winning HFA I think that may make Peyton a shoo-in to win

Royce White refuses D-League assignment AGAIN
htownborn replied to Dash's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
I know and I was one of the main ones defending the guy. He has talent but too much of a headcase and doesn't even play. We should have took Zeller at least he would give us depth at center. -
I wish Harden didn't get his 5th foul near the ending of the 3rd quarter, it could have been a lot closer. Even though we lost by six our offense was totally out of sync when Harden had to sit and we couldn't make or run until later in the game when it was to late. Despite the lose it was a good and entertaining game as usual whenever the Rockets and Spurs play each other. I just hope we win next time we meet them in Houston.

As of today Watt has 20.5 sacks and Smith is still at 19.5. Seeing as the Texans lost to the Vikings today and still need a win to secure home field advantage I believe Watt will be playing next game. If Watt play's the entire game next week I think he should be able to get the record he sacked Luck 3 times the last time we played so I hope he can repeat that. As for Aldon he still has a chance of getting the record but now I think Watt has the better chance of breaking it before Smith does. He goes against an Arizona Cardinals team who's offensive line is just as good as a Pop Warner football team so he should meet up with the Kolb or Skelton more than a couple of times.

You can watch Smallville for that lol J/K Seriously though I never really been that big on Superman (I'm more of a Batman fan) but I've really enjoyed these new in depth and dark superhero movie lately so I'll definitely give it a watch

I never said he was too old I just said it's rare to see a guy he's age in the dunk contest in the NBA now a days. Just look at the last 10 or more slam dunk contest there's rarely anyone 28 or older competing in it. The last 2 people I remember who was close to that age who competed was Chris Andersen and Jamario Moon who both sucked. Their may be a couple of more but that's all I can really think of from the top of my head ATM. I believe he would be alright but I agree it's to many props used in the slam dunk contest today which is the main thing that ruins it for me. Still I would like to see what creativity he or anyone else could come up with
-
I never bought into LeBron wanting to be in the dunk contest anyway. 1. I always felt that LeBron is the type of player that just doesn't want to be known for dunks because coming in to the league that's what he was mainly known for. 2. He's nearly 30 and is already in his what 9th season? Usually if your not in the Dunk Contest (in the modern era of the NBA any way) by your 3rd or 4th season then your just not going to do it.
-
Yeah he's defiantly the anchor of that line. He doesn't get many sacks but he can take on double teams to make it easier for everyone else
-
Damn Seattle came out to prove a point tonight. I felt it would be close because of the last time these 2 teams played but I was for sure the 9ers would win or be winning. The Hawks have been looking real legit these last 3 games.

The Slam Dunk contest has been getting worse by the year to me and what makes it even worse are the contestants that are usually choose to be in it. So I made a thread on who everyone thinks deserves to be in the dunk contest. Obviously you can only choose 4 so who is it? For me Russell Westbrook (I don't know how creative he would be in a dunk contest but he's super athletic and should put on some dunks that wow the audience) Eric Bledsoe (He rarelly got PT the last 2 season but this year when he's played he's shown to be a very explosive dunker on the break I would love to see what he could do in a contest) Terrence Ross (I haven't seen many Raptor games but the 2 times the Rockets faced Toranto he had at least 2 or 3 amazing dunks. His game kind of reminds me of Jason Richardson I just wonder would he's dunks be just as good) Gerald Green (I originally started to put Jeremy Evans because he won the last dunk contest but I was so unimpressed with that last contest as a whole I don't want to see neither of them in it this year maybe other than George. Gerald Green wasn't all that great in his dunk contests either but he's a former slam dunk champ and he's just as athletic then as he is now) Another I would really like to see James "Flight" White from the Knicks make it to the Slam Dunk competition but I don't even know if he'll be on an NBA roster by that time. LeBron would be nice to see too but he'll never do it.

I think Smith could get a sack today. Even though the Texans D sucked against the Pats Watt was still able to get to Brady a couple of times just couldn't sack him. Our problem was that our pass rush as a whole was terrible that along with man to man coverage and poor offensive execution but that's another story. With Justin Smith in front of Aldon taking on most the double teams Aldon should be in the backfield with Brady if not sack him on a couple of plays.
-
I felt we would lose today we never seem to play good in Toronto. I can't even remember the last time we got a win there.
-
As of right now both Aldon Smith and JJ Watt are tied at 19.5 sacks, the record for sacks in a season is 22.5 set by Michael Strahan and both have a chance of breaking it. With 2 games left for Watt and 3 games left for Smith including today, who looks more likely to break and set a new record. Honestly I think the record will be broken by both guys depending on if Watt can get a sack next week. I'm confident that if he play's the last game of the season he will have more sacks. I don't think he will set the record though, I think Smith has the best chance of setting the new record though

The Seahawks are making it interesting but I still go with San Fran. If the 9ers lose tonight though then next week will be a very interesting game when they play each other.
