Just wondering what is everyone's favorite video game intro. You know the type of intro that really gets you pumped and in to the game before you play lol. Mines would have to be Gameday 98 intro anyone remember this game? A little old I know but I love this intro form the theme music to the hits just amazing to watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kyt5T0OqEI Its also amazing that almost every hit in this video would be either a fine or a penalty today I also liked the NBA 2k2 intro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRz3b9B3I5Q

This is going to be tougher game than many may think, I expect a win but I think the Jags won't make it easy. We have to do better on the ground this game, last game we were average at best. The O-line needs to block a lot better especially on the right side since the Jags have a pretty good run D and we have to do better stopping the run on defense. Last game Bush shredded us up the middle and if we play the same this week MJD will be in for a huge day. Other than that I think well do fine I would like to see Tate with a couple more carries and one of our other receivers besides Dre to step up. Another plus the Jags have a couple of lineman out along with Daryl Smith and possibly Rashad Jennings so that may help a bit but I'm not leaning to much on it.

Moving Vid - Royce White Draft Day Doc
htownborn replied to Need4Sheed's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
I started to post this but I assumed someone else would. I really hope he can get through his career without these problems though. I was a fan of his when he was at ISU and I'm rooting for him even more that he's with our team and that he's fighting a tough battle. -
Good win for the Texans. We started out pretty slow but put up 21 unanswered points at the end of the second quarter. Schaub and Andre looked sharp and JJ had an impressive game for us. Some things we need to work on for next week is stopping the run, our run D wasn't the best today IMO and next week we play MJD so we need to address this for next week. And we need to do better running the ball ourselves Foster had a decent game but could have ran better. I'll cut him some slack though only because he's knee was sore and the Dolphins run D was good today but for a top 5 back we need better, and we need to give Tate a couple of more carries than what he had today. Other than that I think overall we played well the O-line did better than I expected but could definitely stand for improvement and we need to come out better in the first quarter than what we did today other than that good game.

I just have to say JJ Watt is a [expletive]ing beast. The game was all even at 3 and he makes 2 big plays to give us a 14 point lead.

Some new gameplay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1zQiu5_Nlw At first I was little skeptical about 2k13 because I was kind of disappointed with 2k12, but after watching these videos over the last few weeks and hearing the news about Barkley and AI being in the game I'm starting to change my mind. So far I like what 2k has done, gameplay looks smoother as usual, players look more aware on D, I didn't see any unbelievable blocks or steals, the triple threat game looks improved (see Lebron at 2:37 and 6:10), passing looks a bit better(I'm liking the bounce passes), they don't take many dumb shots when they draw contact like in 2k12, and play calling looks nice I like how the players actually direct were they want their teammates to go. So far so good I'm liking what I'm seeing but I still have to play the game to be sure.

It's only right to bring AI back since he's was on the cover of the first 5 NBA 2k games

If Kobe ended up with 7 rings...
htownborn replied to kingfish's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Fair enough and I don't disagree with a word you said. I just like looking at things from a unbiased prospective that's all but you make good points -
I think it will be between Barkley, Ball, Lattimore, and Jones. Most people think it will be Barkley but I think if Monte Ball has a season similar top last year he'll win. Lattimore should be a strong favorite too if he stays healthy

If Kobe ended up with 7 rings...
htownborn replied to kingfish's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
LOL chill bro I didn't put Barkley ahead of Kobe I said you can argue that he's top 10 along with Robinson, Duncan, and Malone (Karl and Moses). Honestly I would have Barkley behind Kobe but not to far behind. I think you can make an argument that Robinson and Malone are ahead of Kobe even though you can probably make a better case for Kobe. True Malone doesn't have a ring but he does have 2 MVP's and Robinson has 1 MVP just like Kobe he just doesn't have the rings Kobe has. Granted Kobe should probably have more MVP's but the same can be said for guys like Shaq as well. Believe me I've seen a lot of people not including Kobe in there top 10, hell I've even seen some not include the dude in there top 20 let alone top 10 a lot of that may be hate towards Kobe though, may sound crazy but there are some that fell that way. I know in my post I said I would put Kobe at 11 or 12 but I take that back it's not that I don't consider Kobe a top 10 player all-time I just think you can argue that others can be considered there as well. -

In my all time great list I would have Kobe at about 11 or 12 very close to top 10. Kobe's one of my favorite players but I think there's guys I could put ahead of him. I know alot may say Kobe is top 5 and with good reason but MJ, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Bird, Russell, Hakeem, Big O, and Shaq are in my top 10 and are ahead of Kobe IMO and I think you can make arguments as to who can be at #10 between Kobe, Robinson, Malone, Barkley, and Duncan. If he wins 2 more rings and is still productive I would put him in my top 10 easily, if he makes it to the Finals and play's the way he did in game 7 of the 2010 Finals then it can go either way. What I mean by go either way is he can stay where he is from a ranking standpoint or he's ranking could go down especially if LeBron continues to win rings and rack up MVP's. Overall though I think Kobe is a top 15 player all time and could be top 10 if he still puts up great numbers with rings. -
West Lakers (If they can gel together the way Miami did their first year together) Thunder Spurs Clippers Nuggets Grizzlies Mavericks T'Wolves East Heat Celtics Pacers Bulls Knicks 76ers Nets Bucks

He would have been a multiple all star and considered one of the best perimeter shooters of all time What if LeBron James went to college?

What is the Wolves' ceiling?
htownborn replied to Heir Rose's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
The Wolves definitely improved this year but obviously their not on the levels of the Lakers, Thunder, Clippers, or Spurs and I don't think there better than Memphis, Dallas, or Denver not yet anyway. I think they can compete with the likes of Utah, Phoenix, and possibly Golden State for the 7th or 8th seed and being a first round knockout. That would be a good season for the Wolves since they haven't sniffed the playoffs since 2004. As for there ceiling If they keep the team together that they have now I don't see them being any better than what Memphis during the 10-11 season. As you said if they could add another good piece with what they got they could possibly contend with the best in the West -
2K Sports launches #IdeasforNBA2k13 Campaign

Here's some new footage of 2k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNKWq7qpz_0 So far it looks pretty good. I like the whole dribbling with the analoge sticks idea, I believe NBA Elite tried it before they scrapped their product. And it looks like we can actually play defense in this game. -

Here's some videos of what I think 2k should improve on. I don't agree with everything but he's spot on with majority of the stuff he hit on in his videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FskW4MFhkxY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kds1eYw7AbM They really need to fix this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFoz5cQ8yrM -
He wouldn't be as overlooked as he is now a days What if the Pats and Giants meet in the SB again this year? Would Brady finally beat Eli
-
Yeah I switched it because I thought it would have been a better question instead of the "What if Shaq never played in LA question" because I would get the obvious answer you just gave.
-
The Cowboys would still be in Texas Stadium and they would actually have better coaches on the sideline. What if Kobe never played with Shaq?
-
What if the Rockets drafted Michael Jordan over Hakeem Olajuwon?
-
I was bored so I decided to make a silly game that I used to do on other forums. It's simple just ask a random "What if" question that's sport's related and the next person answers then makes the next question. I'll start it off

Yeah I know I was posting to fast I'm changing it now.

Mine would be 1. MC Lyte 2. Queen Latifa 3. Da Brat 4. Missy Elliott 5. Lauryn Hill 6. Eve 7. Lil Kim 8. Remy Ma 9. Foxy Brown 10. Trina I would put Nicki but she's too new IMO plus her style kind of gets on my nerves at times. Honorable mention to Mia X, Jean Grae, Charlie Baltimore, Rah Digga, YoYo, Left Eye, Etc...
