Denver Post: Anthony Isn't A Great Player
Multi-Billionaire replied to The Regime's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
Melo can actually play defense, if he sets his mind to it... I would even go as far to say that he could be a 1st All Defensive Team. He has quick feet, quick and strong hands, he is physical, and can keep in front of even quick guards. But since he rarely sets his mind to it... Defense aside, I think he has become more all around... he now easily gets 7 rebounds and 5 assists to go with 25 pts any given night. In his first 3-4 years, he was strictly a scorer, but since Billups came, he has become more all around with those rebounds, assists, steals as well... but defense is still up in the air. -
Great video. Had LeBron joined, Rose would not have elevated his game to the next level as he has this season... but they would have been a great team, definitely a legitimate title contender.

Oh man... We've been D-ing up since Melo left tho... Chandler and J.R. went cold... the team stuck together and keep fighting... hope this is consistent. -
Agent: Billups to seek buyout if traded
Multi-Billionaire replied to AboveLegit's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
No, Mr. Big Shot is in love with opportunity to "turn a team around" under his leadership... the Knicks are it. And Knicks would not do it, at least not this season, they want his leadership to nurture this team... to make Melo comfortable, etc. -
Melo has a prettier jump shot, but besides that their game is similar, and have a lot of similar moves, e.g. their spin move, their low post game (King was closer to the rim), their mid-range (Melo liked to shoot 20 footers, King liked to shoot around the paint), their hesitation dribble penetration... It's so similar.

Best defensive PG in the league right now

I agree with Real on Hinrich being the best... Rondo is great but he's no lockdown defender like HInrich is. -
Can the Nuggets make the playoffs?
Multi-Billionaire replied to The Regime's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
^KMart didn't play in Portland game... doctors have advised him not to play back-to-back games... he's sat out the 2nd games of back-to-backs all season. And yeah Karl has yet to play Mozgov, but I think he's got a chance to be a legit starter. The objective is to put Nene at his natural position at PF. -

Roy has voice like a teen nerd with acne, his bullies behind him, and no girls. Poor streaming I can barely see anything... but I saw Felton playing bad. -
Pistons laugh at own head coach after ejection
Multi-Billionaire replied to a topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
Some coaches are just not born for the head coach, but they make excellent assistant... guys like Marc Iavaroni, Kurt Rambis, Kuester. Thibs is making excellent transition to "head". -
Chandler can defend, he's got good D awareness, I like he sets picks, always seems to box out for rebound when opponent shoots. He has long arms and they're always active. More important, he seems to be like a good kid. Harrington is just terrible... he has terrible shot selection, he just chugs shots when he gets it just outside 3 pt line. Antoine Walker in his prime would shake his head. Gallo doesn't seem comfortable on offensive end, defensively he's more comfortable... hope he will get it together soon. --- This team has to play hard to win... collectively... I think "playing hard" would be big factor than ever... as long as they hustle, they get physical with their D (like Chandler is not afraid to bang with Pierce on the post). C's didn't score in the last 6 mins, the defense was fun to watch, but it highly relies on players' energy and activity, I don't think the Nuggets can sustain it... but hoping they can.

Missed it, but will watch reply in 15 mins... In Felton, Chandler, J.R., Harrington, Mozgov, Bird, Koufos, Forbes... we got a super bench in the L My fave boy Gallo looked good with dunk and block on Davis.

I think one of the visions the Nets had when they made this trade was when they brought in Kidd from Suns in 2000. Even Kidd when he was on the Suns, was considered an All Star but never a superstar. In his first year as a Net, he single-handedly turned around the losing culture and led them to NBA Finals and he became a MVP candidate and legitimate superstar. More than anything he was their leader night in, night out. Deron is also an All Star, but few consider him a superstar... can he be what Jason Kidd became after he became a Net: an MVP candidate, legitimate superstar, leader... can he turn the Nets around from losers to winners? I think he can, he's the foundation. He makes everyone involved with those passes.

Aaron Afllalo/ JR Smith/ Gary Forbes SF. Danillo Gallinari/ Wilson Chandler PF. Nene/ Kenyon Martin/ Al Harrington C. Timofey Mozgov/ Chris Andersen -
Carmelo Anthony officially a New York Knick
Multi-Billionaire replied to a topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
I KNOW... We should have done Nets deal :( But check this out... http://cdn0.sbnation.com/photo_images/1985180/102055_Nuggets_Anthony_Trade_Talks_Basketball.jpg Can you feel the heat and fire blazing from within Gallo? Those competitive pair of eyes. He's looking at opponents and want to kill em and rip their hearts out. Chandler is checking out some chic, and Felton is going through the motion... they can be traded. -
Carmelo Anthony officially a New York Knick
Multi-Billionaire replied to a topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
I like this deal, Gallo is my boy, Mozgov is sexy internationale... Chandler, Felton, can be flipped for draft picks for all I care. Welcome to Denver, Gallo, Mozgov! [expletive] Melo. -
^When Knicks include Mozgov, expect the Nuggets to demand Fields too. Because of this, I don't think Knicks will trade for Melo, and Denver knows this... perhaps intentional too.
-
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/211142/Denver_Now_Requesting_Inclusion_Of_Mozgov I love our FO it's brilliant This is Nuggets' way of saying to Melo: "we're either sending you to NJ or keeping you... but we won't be dealing you to Knicks for scrubs... we'd rather get nothing."

Deron Williams wants to join the Knicks
Multi-Billionaire replied to The Regime's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Or it could be Knicks fans' "NY state of mind" to stir this to move on from Melo now Melo is going to NJ. -
Melo: "I would love to sit down... with Mr. Prokhorov... with whatever team that the Denver Nuggets want to send me to. I would love to sit down with them, look them in the eye and see what the future holds in that situation." I'd think the Denver Nuggets want to send Melo to New Jersey (Favors + 4 picks)... than Knicks (insert 5 role players here and 1 pick)
-
^But ahead of known "sharpshooters" like Peja, Dale Ellis, Billups, Steve Nash, Mitch Richmond???
-
^Buy some kleenex you'll need it during Melo's Nets press conference.
