It's a steep price for the Nets for sure... but if they don't do it, they will have to pay even a steeper price (from Prokhorov's perspective) by watching Melo join Knicks. Prokhorov simply canNOT let Melo join Knicks. His missions are: - to turn Knicks fans into Nets fans... - to win title in 5 years How can he turn Knick fans into Net fans if they can't match starpower of Melo and Amare on Knicks? How can they win title if they can't beat Melo and Amare's Knicks? If Nets don't get Melo, it'll be over for Prokhorov... unless Derrick Favors actually becomes a superstar franchise... a possibility but still a long shot for now.

Melo SAID: 1. money is a big factor in his decision 2. he'd like to meet with Prokhorov If Knicks don't give up Gallo, Chandler, Fields, Felton, and Mozgov, they're not getting Melo. And Knicks certainly won't do it. If money is really a big factor like he said, then he will agree to extension once the trade framework is agreed to by Nets and Nuggets. - Melo, Amare, and noone else... is not much better than... Melo, Lopez, and noone else. - Nets are moving to New York soon. - Prokhorov is richest owner in L ($13 bil) and certainly won't mind paying luxury tax... Knowing these facts, are Knicks really that much better than Nets to be worth giving up big $$$? The only way Knicks can remove doubt is to submit to the Nuggets demand and trade their top 5 young prospects (and that is IF the Nuggets don't ask for more... remember Nets are said to offer 4 1st rd draft picks along with Derrick Favors, I can't see any other team with better offer than it)... waiting for summer to sign him comes with a risk of not getting him at all.

You Knicks also just lost your leverage now Nets are back in talks Knick fans better drop the man love for this natural born role player Fields guy. He reminds me of 1st year players getting excited for the big money they get in NBA, contributing to their confidence... so they play out of their mind, but 2-3 years later they're out of shape, just trying to get back in rotation... e.g. Austin Croshere playing like superman in 1999-2000, Eddie Robinson, Gordan Giricek, I think Fields' ceiling is a Rick Fox, and it's certainly nothing to be excited about.

Nets on verge of acquiring Melo...?
Multi-Billionaire replied to a topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
^We'd call it even from the Kenyon Martin trade 7 years ago. Welcome to Denver, Favors. This trade will be called the Derrick Favors trade in 3 years. -
FOr years, people have been calling Kidd "Ason" because he doesn't have J... Yet this guy is 3rd ALL TIME in three pt made behind only notorious shooters like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller? I definitely did not expect it.

I spun it, and it says "you won jackpot $100 mil"?

Yesss... I expected that Prokhorov just canNOT afford to let Melo go to Knicks. If Melo goes to Knicks to join Amare, his "mission" of turning Knicks fans into Nets fans is over right there. Even when the franchise moves to Brooklyn, it'll be an almost impossible challenge to compete with Knicks and Melo and Amare. And he might as well put Nets back on sale. Prokhorov simply must win the Melo sweepstakes, or it's over for him. It will be as much about getting Melo as it is about preventing him from going to Knicks.

Exactly two loss in a row in which we had 15+ pt lead... Nuggets have 25 losses now, and I swear at least 15 of those, we had a double digit lead.

Then again, noone knew Griffin would be this good before the season. Had LeBron known about Griffin being this good (among other things like Gordon breaking out, Davis playing ball again, Jordan emerging as a defensive center, Bledsoe being a reliable backup) Clippers would probably have been one of his faves.

Gregg Popovich, Paul Silas, Stan Van Gundy, Alvin Gentry, Nate McMillan, and probably Tyrone Corbin can give this kid tough love he needs. Not the "cool" coaches like Westphal.

I disagree with Wade being MUCH better than Gordon... Gordon averages 24.1 ppg (Wade: 25.0 ppg) and plays better defense than Wade, and can play lock-down D. Furthermore, Gordon's more accurate outside shooting (35.9 3PT%) would have complemented LeBron better and spread the floor better than Wade (31.6 3PT%) Obviously, overall Wade is still better... but I disagree with "MUCH".

lol now it's LeBron nodding -
Hate to say it, but my boy AAA doesn't touch J.R. when it comes to athleticism. If we can have J.R.'s athleticism and physical tools... and... AAA's brain, mentality, hardwork, never-ending hunger and need for improvement, in one package, he'd be the next Kobe.

^Cuz he has a chance to actually be a star and is not a born role player. He will be a legitimate star.

Landry Fields: The Modell's sales associate
Multi-Billionaire replied to JYD's topic in YouTube Forum
He talks too much for a role player... I'll probably leave it if I found a Landry Fields jersey -
This is why I love this guy, when we're down 9 with 2-3 mins left, everyone kinda resigned, only AAA kept playing. He played with such energy and confidence that were contagious to the entire team... then he knocked down a 3 to cut lead to 4, and everyone fed energy off him and started playing like they cared. I had a feeling AAA would have taken the shot, he did, I'm happy he got his first GW.

Love or Beasley?
Multi-Billionaire replied to Dr. Feelgood's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
Love is a superstar. Beasley can keep smoking weed for all they care.
