Nuggets listening to offers for Carmelo
Multi-Billionaire replied to magicbalala245's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
DUde you keep making your own theories... won't get better than that? You know Phokorov is laughing at your post? You know Nets have offered us Harris and Favors? Favors alone trumps any package Knicks can offer us... dude smh you don't know anything. Stay out of these CBA things, cuz you're telling everyone they don't know what they're talking about when you're the one who don't. Stop it dude... it stinks like puke. -
Get your facts straight... cap might go up but the max contract, the mid level, the rookie contract, the minimum veteran, the minimum contract are rumored to go down... e.g. say the current max is $20 mil for a superstar, it could go down to only $16-17 mil... and over a 6 year contract/ extension, the difference of $3-4 mil per season is about $18-24 mil and that's huge. For a player like Melo who doesn't have many endorsements (at least compared to LeBron, Kobe), they can't afford to say, "yahh, $18-24 mil difference is okay, I still have my $20-30 mil/ year endorsements". And this is where players who sign under the new CBA next summer are affected. If the mid-level are $5 mil now it can go down to $4 mil... this is huge, it is a 20% drop off. If it was likely to be a minimal change only, there would have been no potential of a lockout. Dude, you keep saying the current contracts will be rolled back as well if this was the case, all the NBA experts with NBA knowledge (you know, "sources") like Stein, Wojnarowski, Bucher, Ford, Broussard would have broken the news. These guys are not New York Post reporters, they're valid NBA sources... what they report usually turn out real. They get paid handsomely for what they do... and you're telling me you know more than these guys? It's their profession fo god sake. Like always, you're the only "expert" who did. You're the only expert who says current contracts will be rolled back as well. Real Deal also posted twice directly responding to your posts about your theories. Dude you keep making your own rules and fantasies of what's going on... is this a subconscious impact of losing a franchise player like Chris Bosh for draft picks having on a fan's brain? Thanks for the warning, I will make sure I will stay sane when Nuggets lose Melo.
-
^Current contracts are NOT affected... I don't know what you're talking about. Dude, this is NBA, not NFL or other sports. Everyone has been saying the new CBA will impose less salaries for players because owners now are losing too much money... and therefore everyone knows Melo wants to sign that extension before next summer. Only catch is he doesn't want to extend as a Nugget. Everyone knows this, except you.

15.) Life will pay any price you ask of it If you ask an income of $20,000 a year, you'll get it if you work for it. But you won't get more. If you ask an income of $50,000 a year, you'll get it if you work for it. But you won't get more. If you ask an income of $100,000 a year, you'll get it if you work for it. But you won't get more. If you ask an income of $10,000,000 a year, you'll get it if you work for it. But you won't get more. The Bible says, "Ask and you shall receive." Whether it is money, health, happiness, or other self-fulfillment. Les Brown says, "most people fail in life not because they aim high and miss, but most people fail in life because they aim too low and hit." So aim high whether it is a financial goal or other goals. A good way of finding out the true desire of what you want to achieve that lies within you is to ask yourself these two questions: - "What would I really do if I have a lot of money and it doesn't worry me?" - "What would I really do if I knew I couldn't fail?" You also have to know what you want, set a specific figure (if financial wealth is your goal) of your goal, when you would like to achieve the goal, and what you will do to achieve the goal... e.g. "I have a desire and that desire is I want to be a millionaire when I am 30 years." You have to be specific and know what you want. -
Should NBA stadiums be creative like this?

So the light should represent the mood of the owner? lol jk -
To me, this is nothing short of psychology reverse. He knows Nuggets still hold the card, what better than a Live Show to express your true feelings so the Nuggets know it? He did stress, I'm not a free agent yet, and Lopez did ask "what if you're a free agent?"... "That's a different story". The Nuggets have basically dared Melo to opt out and be a free agent if he's willing to take a lot less money by signing under new CBA. Their card is knowing that Melo does not want to go that route because the money will be A LOT LESS and he wants extension. That's Nuggets' leverage. Basically Melo in the show is showing the Nuggets, "you dared me to leave via free agency, then that's what I'm going to do, I'm really going to leave in the next summer." Basically trying to bluff and shake the Nuggets, and taking away that leverage. "You think I can't take less money? I will prove it by leaving next summer." If the Nuggets blink first, they will trade him and give to Melo's wishes. And they will lose. If the Nuggets hold on strong to their card, and in turn make Melo blink first, then Melo will say, "alright I'll sign the extension." This is a brilliant move by Melo, considering he doesn't have the strongest cards, and that he's done it (pressuring the Nuggets to trade him) without ever publicly saying "TRADE ME NOW". It's brilliant.

Just read point by point! :glasses: Take your time and ask anything if you have any question. Other than that, enjoy, thanks for visiting the thread :glasses: -

14.) Subconscious Mind, unlock your TRUE POWER that lies within! Our mind is divided into 2 parts: the conscious mind and subconscious mind. Consider the power of the subconscious mind: whatever you have in your subconscious mind, IS YOUR REALITY. Our subconscious mind is what makes us do majority of our actions. The subconscious mind does things like your eyes naturally blinking/ your naturally breathing/ your naturally dreaming in your sleep. Do we give command to ourselves with a conscious mind to naturally blink, breathe, and dream? No, because it's all done naturally. Can we consciously tell ourselves to blink? Yes, but are you going to do "blinking" for the rest of life? How tiring! The next thing you know, you stop thinking about blinking and your subconscious mind takes over and does it for you. Can we consciously tell ourselves to breathe? Yes, but if we depend on our conscious mind to command our body to breathe, what will happen when we stop thinking such as when we fall asleep? Does it mean we stop breathing too? This is why the subconscious mind is important. Our subconscious mind is awake even when we and our conscious mind are asleep. If you have: - I hate myself, I'm ugly - I love me - I'm afraid of dark places, I always think of ghosts - I am fearless - Everybody hates me - They love me - I won't be rich - I will be rich, I know it ... in your subconscious mind, then they are your reality! The subconscious mind does not have the ability to argue or dispute what it is told. Whatever information you give it, it will accept as true. It will then work to make that information correct. So if it's so simple, we should just give command to our subconscious mind that "I will be rich" and it will be a reality right? It's NOT that simple. Fact is our subconscious mind is SURROUNDED AND GUARDED by our conscious mind. No thoughts can enter our subconscious mind before being processed and rejected by our conscious mind. The only thoughts that can enter our subconscious mind are those that have been induced and emotionalized by ABSOLUTE FAITH through repetitive conditioning/ repetitive experience/ repetitive thoughts (sometimes called auto-suggestion). So, merely telling yourself that you're going to be rich, is not going to reach and penetrate into your subconscious mind. It will be rejected by our conscious mind. But telling yourself over and over again, that you're going to be rich, before you retire to sleep and wake up in the morning for, say months and then years (for few days is not going to work), is going to induce an absolute faith in that thought. And when you have faith in your thought, it is going to be accepted by the subconscious mind. Don't believe me? Try deceive yourself, saying that "salt is sweet". Say that over and over and over. The first 10-20 times you're saying it, you're probably thinking you're just fooling yourself. But getting to the 40th-50th time (maybe 100th time to some people), you're starting to get a sensation in your tounge through your imagination that salt can taste sweet! It is because you repeat the sentence so many times that you begin to trickle faith into the sentence and it enters your subconscious mind. What power it can have on people. Try saying that over a period of month(s) and even year(s), "the trickle of faith" will become crystallized into absolute faith and it also becomes crystallized in your subconscious mind. How is this powerful? Once the thought that "salt is sweet" is in your subconscious mind, you will naturally pour salt into your coffee/ cooking when you need to sweeten them... just like you naturally blink your eyes or breathe. Instead of "salt is sweet", what if you change it to "I will be rich" or to "I will live my life happy and without fear of resentment or rejection"? Say it over and over, for month(s) or year(s)? Again, saying it only for days will not work as a conditioning/ auto suggestion is something that will work only over a long period of time. Can you imagine you will just naturally doing those (you will be rich, etc)? Remember, only thoughts that have been emotionalized by ABSOLUTE FAITH can enter and be accepted by your subconscious mind. You have to say it with feelings and vision. Basically, you have to mean what you say, instead of just saying it without meaning it. If your statement is "I will be rich", you have to mean it. Try, if you can, visualize how you have a massive property with all the luxuries that you dream, the visualization will help you induce faith in your statement/ auto-suggestion. And do it over and over for month(s) and if you're persistent, year(s), until your faith in the statement becomes rock solid it is unbreakable. Once the thought of your goal/ desire reaches and is crystallized in your subconscious mind, the way "breathing" and "blinking" are in your subconscious mind, you will automatically DO ACTIONS towards reaching the goal until they become reality. Subconscious mind is a true beast of power that lies within everyone, which they use FOR or AGAINST them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkMU5f7rfXc -

^He can sign an extension with Denver then be traded... or be traded and then sign an extension with his new team. Melo for Iggy is lame... We know Iggy's ceiling is... I'd rather go on the risk route and take Favors in. It's bust or superstar... we Nuggets don't have many options to begin with. -
Can the Heat win a championship this year...
Multi-Billionaire replied to Multi-Billionaire's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
How is Doc a weak link? Getting 3 superstars to play together, successfully getting them to buy into the system, allowing Thibodeau to install the defense, and a championship and 2 Finals appearances for the result, are works of a great coach/ leader. Spoelstra has to make a name for himself like Doc did when he got the opportunity. Now he got the opportunity. Before the championship in 2008, Rivers was only a "pretty good" coach with great motivational skills. Now, he's seen as one of the top tiers coaches. Spo's a very good defensive minded coach and more importantly he got the team since he's hired to play with discipline on that end. He stuck to his guns and system, and did not play Beasley much although he was the 2nd pick. Spo's got a system all right (not some random [expletive] street ball by George Karl), but will the players buy it? It's time to see if Spo's defensive system is "pretty good" or is it at "elite" level like Tom Thibodeau. And to see if he's got the creative minds to fully utilize the offensive powers of this team... I really think if he fails, he fails on the offensive end. -
Saw AC Milan vs. Auxerre... Ibrahimovic had 2 great goals in his debut.

Iggy is nice but let's face it he's not a franchise player... From Sixers I'd like: - Andre Iguodala - Jrue Holiday (I'm high on him I think he has what it takes to be very good) - Future 1st rd pick Sixers can keep Turner with all due respect, I just don't see the guy turning any special. -

Durant in an elite group of scorers
Multi-Billionaire replied to Real Deal's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
Fearless prediction: 36 ppg, 48 FG%, 43 3PT%, 92 FT%. For the next 3 seasons. The NBA will be dominated by a single player like nothing before. -
Real, pretend you're Mayo, you scored 18.5 ppg in your rookie year and people touted you as the next big thing as an offensive player. I guarantee people in Mayo's position would 100% take more shots in his second season. Guaranteed. It's a no-brainer. I would. I wouldn't care to be a leader, I would say to myself, "I'm just a second year player, I'm still developing. How can I develop if I do not take more shots and sacrifice? I'll think about sacrificing my game in my 10th year not in my 2nd year, when I'm still developing as a player." The fact that Mayo did not take more shots, meaning had he taken the same amount of shots as his rookie year would have been remarkable. But he not only did not take the same amount of shots, he actually took less. Would a second year Kobe, VC, Wade, Melo, LeBron, MJ be told to take the same amount of shots as their rookie years? No way. Try telling them to take less amount of shots. What's remarkable about the whole thing is that the sacrifice could result in serious consequences in his game, if we're not already seeing it (only 17.5 ppg and his free throw% went down by 7% in his second year). He's supposed to evolve into a 20+ ppg scorer, but by taking less shots, he put his chance of developing his offensive skills in jeopardy. What would happen if a second year Kobe, VC, Wade, Melo, LeBron and MJ had really taken less amount of shots than their rookie years? They probably wouldn't have developed as dangerous scorers as they are/ were. Mayo was supposed to take 2-3 more shots per game AT LEAST in his soph year. But he ended up taking 1 less shot a game. That's HUGE. The relatives and circles that are constantly in his ears reminding him he's still on a rookie contract, and it's best for him to take care of himself first by developing into a superstar with undeniable offensive skills and landing that max contract. By sacrificing his game, he is jeopardizing his chance to truly develop as that guy... you can't just "turn on the switch". The skills have to develop naturally. But what's good is his sacrifice was directed toward the good of the team. You don't see many veterans sacrificing their game for the good of their team (heck, Allen Iverson in his 14th year was still worried about sacrificing his game - which is a reason why not one team is interested in him -)... but to see the sacrifice come from a 2nd year player, he's inspiring to his teammates to say the least.

I'm assuming most OTR members here have had sex Share us your story here... Mine, I was probably 20, still jobless, mom gave me some money to give to my friend who had a wedding... but I put it in my pocket and forgot to give it to him. So after the wedding, we went out together to this "place" and they had an album where you choose your girl, so I thought there's no way I would do that, don't have the money, but voila, money still in my pocket, and chose my girl, and boom. I was nervous, and kept saying "is this for real?". Then she stripped and my instinct took over. I remember thinking, "this isn't as good as I thought it would be... not necessarily better than masturbating." lol EDIT: one funny moment was when she asked me why I was nervous and I said it was my first time... she said no way... and I said true... and she was like, "how come you know how to shag?" and I was like "saw it in movies?"... and the funny part was she suddenly became serious and said let's take off the condom, and I was like no way why would you take off my condom... and she was like cmon let's take it off, let's take it off... I said no way... girl -_- I guess she must have thought my virgin sperm held some God power lol Tell your stories

Korver Considers Bulls Elite
Multi-Billionaire replied to The Regime's topic in Chicago Bulls Team Forum
Show me where Derrick Rose: - can take a long shot off the dribble... - looks comfortable taking long shots (off the dribble or not) To be the first option offensively, he has to do those things... because eventually if his team is to be "elite" he has to carry them offensively... I don't see it. LeBron has, in many instances, given the ball to his teammates at the end of games but they came up short. In other words, if D-Rose is the best player offensively for them, he has to be the #1 guy. But I just don't see the team going far with him as the #1 option. Bulls fans will know this once they watch their Bulls go through games where they can't score when they need to, etc. They need a true scorer. -
Shaq starts? Or Jermaine?
Multi-Billionaire replied to Air Robinson's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
It's not like this Jermaine O'Neal is much better than this Shaq. Shaq is still a big body that needs to be worried about inside, if you give him too much position. Jermaine is washed up defensively... and can knock down 1-2 mid-range shots per game, that's it. What's funny though he chose the wrong Big 3 by going to Boston Should have stayed in Miami. -

Worst losses suffered as a fan?
Multi-Billionaire replied to Real Deal's topic in General NBA Discussion
For Nuggets, it would be nothing much, so it's all 2 years ago: Game 1 WCF > we led most of the game... but didn't deliver... had we won Game 1 and 2... LA would have been toast. Game 3 WCF > Kobe with the dagger... we led most of the game and lost it... we would have been up 2-1. It was heartbreaking because the team could have won. Game 5 and 6 WCF > series tied 2-2, score deadlocked at 75 entering the 4th quarter, we'd been neck and neck up to that point and suddenly the team just faltered (refs help... offensive foul on Nene are you kidding?) and the team couldn't overcome the refs' cruelty. -
The Perfect Role Player?
Multi-Billionaire replied to Check my Stats's topic in General NBA Discussion
^Try convince anyone that Robin in a Batman movie is considered more than a role player. You can't. He's Robin, not exactly Batman's butler, but he's no Batman either and therefore he is still a role player. Can you say convincingly (to yourself) "Robin is no role player, he is a star!!!". You can't. Had Batman been killed, would you believe Robin can immediately take his position and be a leader? Doubtful. Robin would have lost his way without Batman, probably would rather become another civilian than step up to be the "next Batman". That's why Kobe was the gold exception, he was a superstar/ gold role player, if you had taken Shaq out, Kobe could immediately be the leader of his team... that's why he was sort of pushing for Lakers to get rid of Shaq, Kobe couldn't wait to be the Batman, because he knew if Shaq stayed, he'd have to remain a Robin for longer and a Robin meant = role player.
