  1. Spo wanted his players to play D, not only Beas not play D, he was missing assignments on the O, which he was supposed to excel... he didn't pay attention to detail. Someone like Westbrook would have gotten the nod from Spo because even as a rookie, he played D and could already pass. C - Joel Anthony PF - Chris Bosh SF - LeBron James SG - Dwyane Wade PG - Russell Westbrook If it had been Westbrook or Mayo, there's no way Riley would move them... at least not for 2nd round pick. Funny thing is I remember Pat Riley was the one who opposed drafting Beasley and he wanted Mayo. But I think the owner and coaching staff thought Beas was a can't-miss... and Riley sort of let them do it. I guess, from now on, they wouldn't doubt Riley's judgment.
  2. He has skills. I remember when Kenyon was injured and he was forced into the starting lineup... he had games in double figures (rebounding), he caught passes (not fumbled them) and finished, and he had some hooks he can rely on. Defensively, he's solid and has potential to be a very good defender. Only problem with Petro is his assertiveness. He can be quiet passive for long stretches. From minimum to $3.3 mil a year is sure an upgrade... I guess the Nets saw he has potential. I love Petro but I wouldn't give him this money.
  3. Heat and Lakers should fear each other... that means the bickering and fighting are going to continue while Nuggets quietly do their thing ^___^

Who am I kidding, they gonna suck :(

  4. If Derek Fisher signs with Heat, you better give the superteam title to the Heat Without Fisher, this LA team is not so super.
  5. Gloria finally found the man who can satisfy in Delonte. I'm happy for her. He does have similar face complexions as LeBron's.
  6. The Nuggets will be back guys... we're going to make an off-season change addressing our frontcourt... I do think we'll move Nene and J.R. Smith for quality players in return... and more consistent. Because those players are the face of "inconsistency" in the NBA, and we have two of them. We stress on ridding inconsistency and adding consistency. And then I do think we will have Ty in the starting lineup... with Billups backing him up and to save his legs for the playoffs. And lastly, I'm a big believer in Arron Afflalo... I do think he's going to have a breakout year with 15 ppg, 5 rpg, and 3 apg. He will be a legitimate Robin to Melo's Batman.
  7. This is for regular season standings right? 1. Heat 2. Magic 3. Bulls 4. Bucks 5. Hawks 6. Bobcats 7. Celtics 8. Nets I think Hawks are a bit overrated... they changed coach, and the team was actually responding to Mike Woodson, the 0-4 sweep was not his fault/ a case where players didn't listen to the coach anymore... the Magic were just that much better. I think Heat will get it... I don't think there will be any problem with chemistry... I'm not a bandwagon fan whatsoever, but I do think they will win a championship in the first year. People say there will be a chemistry problem and considerably reduced roles but these players are not idiots... they can see what's ahead and if they think there will be problems they wouldn't have come together. They co-existed great in Olympics, they are great friends... if they think ego, chemistry could be a problem, they wouldn't have done this. I do think that's another reason why LeBron didn't pick Knicks because he's closer to Wade and Bosh than he is to Stoudemire. I think Celtics will fall off... they're not getting any younger... they know they're not gonna beat Heat... we do know they don't play in the regular season and this is a regular season standing. That's why they're 7th. The 8th seed is a battle between Nets and Knicks down the stretch... and I think Nets are gonna win. I really like the rookie Derrick Favors, he's going to be the next big thing.
  8. ^Is all about Kobe and Lakers to Kobe and Lakers fans... If it's a thread about tacos or vuvujelas, there will be Kobe or Lakers too.
  9. You still have to wonder though... had the Heat drafted OJ Mayo or... Russell Westbrook! it would have been mad chaos. And no way Heat would have traded them... but Beasley... it says a lot about his career. But there's no guarantee Beasley will have more freedom in Minny, they already have Love and Al who if they are not successful in trading, Beasley will continue to come off the bench. And in triangle offense, nothing is free. It's even a more complicated system than in Miami.
  10. Dude, after all's going on, your fave player is still Diana Taurasi? lol
  11. Once in a blue moon, I can't help but think you're smart. This one move is really questioning Dan Gilbert as a person, a businessman, as a leader, as an owner. There's just so many wrongs in one statement one can only wonder, how did this type of person get to the top in the first place? - Wrong #1: If LeBron wins 3-4-5 championships in the next 5 years in Miami, who is to say he's not coming back to Cleveland to try to win one for his hometown? If he is satisfied with his rings, then that is a window of possibility... that he could come back to Cleveland in 5 years after he's done his thing in Miami. But it has been shut tight by Dan Gilbert with this statement. Whatever small possibility/ thought lingering in LeBron's mind that he will come back to Cleveland in 5 years is dashed. You don't burn bridge like that... no matter how you hate the person... and I understand Gilbert for being hurt and how he's speaking for himself and the Cavs fans and the city, but you don't burn bridge like that because nothing you say/ do will change the fact LeBron is gone for the next 5 years. So why the heck make it worse for yourself personally and as a businessman, your team, its value, and the community? - Wrong #2: It just makes other stars considering Cleveland as destination be cautious... "what happens if things do not go his (Gilbert's) way? He can flame LeBron he can flame me for sure..." - Wrong #3: This is only Cleveland, this is not LA Lakers, or New York or Bulls, teams with chance to compete for championships, or big markets... where the owner can say, "screw LeBron, we're getting Melo or the next big thing". This is Cleveland. If it was hard before to get a big name free agent to sign, what makes Gilbert think it would be easier now after his irrational statement? I just don't see how a businessman like him can make so many errors and very damaging consequences in one single statement. How the heck this dude got rich by making deals in business... because this is clearly BAD business. I'm not saying Gilbert should be a robot and not feel emotional, but fact is whatever you say or do will not change the fact LeBron is gone for the next 5 years. Who's to say he's not coming back to Cleveland after 5 years? You never know... that's why you don't burn a bridge like that. Especially with someone of LeBron's stature where he's the best player in the L and global icon. It only turns people against you. I feel bad for Cavs fans because this owner has cost them: - Any chance of LeBron coming back after 5 years - Future stars considering Cleveland will err... I guarantee nothing good will happen to this Cavs organization as long as Gilbert is still the owner, or at least until he admits he made a mistake with that statement and aplogizes. There's no way around it.
  12. Cavs are the losers and Dan further proves it by issuing a statement only a loser can make. Nets are next losers in terms of not bringing any free agent, Outlaw for $7 mil a season, really? When there's still Mike Miller? Knicks can be called losers if they only sign Amare... I really believe Amare signing is done purely to entice LeBron to sign. Had the Knicks known LeBron is gonna go to Heat, I don't think they would have offered Amare 100 mil for 5 years... I think they would at least try to bargain. Knicks thought Amare would bring LeBron, that's why they acted quickly (before teams like Nets or Bulls did)... and they did... but result is result, you didn't get LeBron, you get low rank/ loser mark. Bulls are not losers but they should be disappointed. I agree with Jon Barry that LeBron-Boozer-Rose-Noah-Luol-Taj would form a deadlier team than current Heat team. Bulls were already one of the top rebounding teams before they added Boozer's 10+ rpg, how LeBron did not see this I don't know. Look at the Heat... who's gonna rebound besides Bosh? What happens if Bosh's frail body gets injured? And Jermaine O'Neal for quickly bolting Heat for Celtics... lmao. He picked the wrong Big 3.
  13. A "we would like to thank LeBron for what's he's done for this organization in the past 7 years we wish him the best" announcement would have been much better. In fact, it would have done the exact reverse. Nothing he says/ does will bring back LeBron, so why make it worse? If LeBron leaving makes the Cavs worth from $400 mil to $300 mil or lower... issuing this statement is not gonna help and even make it worse. Furthermore, it sends red signals to any star player who might be thinking Cavs as destination. It exposes his character, not LeBron's. Saying Cavs are gonna win one before LeBron does is proof of speaking on emotional thinking not rational thinking... in other words, he's not a leader, childish... and you can take this to the bank, no star player is gonna consider Cavs as destination as long as this guy remains the owner. Or at least until he publicly apologizes for this comment and take it back. I wonder how he became rich when he negotiated his deals, etc... this is only done by emotional amateurs.
  14. "I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE" He has so much guts his balls should explode... they're inflated. I will bet any kind of money that "former king" will win one before Cavs do
  15. I believe your max is higher when you resign with your old team... so James' max would be higher than $16.6 M if he had signed with Cavs. Since he signs with new team, it's only $16.6 M and Joe is getting more since he resigns with his old team. I think it has to do with Bird's rights?
  16. Face it guys, if you're the PG, and you have average, role-player-ish, scrub-ish skill (by NBA standard)... won't your confidence grow when anything you pass is converted to a +1 in your assist stat column? By end of every game you have 7-8 assists every game, this would boost confidence. Suddenly you're faster, suddenly you're quicker, suddenly you're sharper and smarter... And we know the game of basketball is about 60-70% confidence or even more and less to skill. If Chalmers can't at least improve his game playing with the Big 3, I think it's a testament to his game mentality/ approach.
  17. When Boston landed KG and Ray to create their Big 3, Rondo became from a career role player to an All Star. Now we have the new Big 3 in Miami... Let's discuss: 1.) Do you guys see Chalmers elevate his game like Rondo did... playing with 3 All Stars where you can just throw the ball up, pass left and right and you make good decisions... is definitely easier than playing with 1 All Star. 2.) If Chalmers successfully elevates his game to a next level, will this be proof than without Big 3 in Boston, Rajon would have been just ordinary instead of All Star?
  18. My caramel popcorn's finished and LeBron still hasn't said his decision
  19. My caramel popcorn has been chilling in my bag waiting for this LeBron moment and my stomach... I think it's New York Knicks!
  20. When guys like Chris Broussard, Adrian W, Marc Stein, Ric Bucher, Marc Spears are reporting you better believe it. I feel bad for the Knicks I thought the Amare-and Melo next year plan works for LeBron. Feel neutral towards the Heat, but the Knicks don't deserve this hate. Hope this is just smokescreen so the 1 hr news gets lives to hype.
  21. Vibrates only because it doesn't have a ring now that's funny
  22. I doubt he will make that prediction... This octopus is in Germany so they only make him predict Germany games. He correctly predicted all Germany games in this World Cup, including when they lost to Serbia. That means... he will predict Uruguay-Germany 3rd place game.
  23. Here it is... I just don't think it's Cleveland, with sensitivity to Cavs fans. I just don't see a guy holding a 1 hr announcement (wonder what's the next 50 mins is all about) announcing: "I'm going to play with Cavs"... it just doesn't sound as big news as it would be if it's elsewhere. He could just say, "I'm staying in Cleveland." But if he says "I'm staying in Cleveland"... how "good" would this conference news is? ESPN would lose credibility... what are they gonna feature in the next 50 mins? Saying why "LeBron thinks other cities suck and hometown is above everything else and that's why he chooses to stay"? It's just not a 1 hr news material. What I'm predicting for sure is he won't play in Cleveland.
