How Many Rings Will Rose Win?
Multi-Billionaire replied to Cavamatic's topic in Chicago Bulls Team Forum
As long as Thibodeau is coaching, they have a chance. That defense kills. It is the #1 reason why they're so good this season imo, and Rose is #2 reason. Larry Brown and his suffocating defense with Pistons (when they held 5 consecutive opponents at 70 pts or less)... only won one. I guess it's one title. -
^It was a record (for most 3s without a miss) until he attempted that one last shot whyyy??? This is bigger than Josh McRoberts attempting a last shot and missed, when the Pacers had gone 20-for-20 FG in third quarter. I still remember the game when Sprewell went 9-for-9 from downtown in 2003... Ty could have broken this record, but thanks to the last miss, it's off the books.

Denver at Oklahoma City
Multi-Billionaire replied to Real Deal's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
My concern is official... the Thunder just don't have any weakness... at least not one that we can exploit. We can't beat them on talent, we must let our heart and will carry us through 7 game series, if we meet them. Too many turnovers, not enough ball movement, not enough activity off the ball, quick shots. We have to play smarter. -
Denver at Oklahoma City
Multi-Billionaire replied to Real Deal's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
Since trade we have reverted to struggling against athletic teams like them and Heat... But we're awesome against slow-it-down half court teams like Lakers and Spurs. In the Melo era, this was the opposite. I still love how the team keeps playing... I noticed guys get frustrated and puzzled... but they keep playing. Good things will happen this way. If Melo was still here, the team would have quit when the Thunder had a 16 pt lead. -
Keep rolling!

Kyrie Irving Declares for the Draft
Multi-Billionaire replied to Teletopez's topic in NBA Draft History
Yeah Sullinger is a bit out of shape... chance to really go top 3-4 but decides to go back. If he doesn't get into better shape, and get in even worse shape, his stock can plummet. Irving (from Melbourne, Australia btw ) is going #1 baby. This is a quicker version of Chris Paul. -
Is Vince Carter HOF bound?

Our transition D against athletic teams like Thunder and Heat (luckily they're in the East) is a true concern. How do teams solve athletic teams like Heat? Celtics punish them by being physical and big inside... So, we can "punish" the athletic Thunder by using C's strategy, being physical and big inside... only... - Presti addressed their physicality by adding Perkins and Mohammed - Nene goes puppy in Perkins' face, Afflalo and Lawson and Chandler are too nice, Felton isn't exactly feisty, J.R. is too cool to get physical, Kenyon's bark is always louder than actions... - We lost our true, beefy 7 footer Mozgov to injury (should be season-ending if it's knee sprain) Only guy who can get in their face is Gallo... he intentionally bumped into Durant to rile him up. Gallo's quietly feisty. But Gallo alone isn't enough. --- Verdict: we just gotta focus on improving our transition D against Thunder... I think it's our only true weakness that Thunder repeatedly utilized... the Thunder know this... and sadly the Nuggets (including Karl) might not yet notice it.

What a bummer loss... OKC played tough D, and is a very good offensive team. It's not enough to make 3-4 stops in a row against this team, because even if we're successful in stopping them in 3-4 consecutive possessions, they can come back and score the next 5 in a row. Everyone is talking about how we're the most efficient offensive team in the L after trading Melo, but OKC's own offense has gotta be near tops in the L. We have to take the next one at OKC, or it could take away this team's confidence quickly when we face them in the playoffs. This one game changed the celebration mood after going 15-4. We found out how good OKC really is.

Hi guys, Don't know where to put this. I have for sale 6 NBA cards, they're rare from 1996-1997 season. They're all framed (except Steve Nash one) as soon as opened from packs (in 1996 lol), and the front peels are still even on the card (for the Finest cards), and in new condition. http://img1.classistatic.com/cps/kj/110405/036r5/89124b8_20.jpeg http://img1.classistatic.com/cps/kj/110405/036r1/3750391_20.jpeg From top left clock wise: - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Fleer Ultra "Fresh Faces", (card no: 3 of 9) - Steve Nash 1996-1997 Finest common Rookie Card (card no: 75) - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Flair Showcase "Class of 96" (card no: 4 of 20) - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Finest rare gold (card no: 269) - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Finest common Rookie Card (card no: 74) - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Topps Stadium Club "Rookie Showcase" (card no: RS11) I'm in Australia, but can post this. Price???? Honestly I don't know, but I know the - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Finest common Rookie Card (card no: 74) one is expensive and could be $100ish.

Are you a neat freak?
Multi-Billionaire replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
I'm very clean, but wouldn't consider myself to the freak level yet... I just can't stand dust, or dishes in the sink. Mop floor at least once a week. My room gets messy at times. I get times when I'm lazy to organize/ clean things and there are times when I decide to do major work. -
Kevin Love proved me wrong, so I will say nothing critical about another unathletic white American player.

To both these teams, the playoffs series starts early. We face them twice in the next 3 days... this game in Denver and on 8th Apr in OKC. If we can win both, their game lead on us will be reduced to 1.0... and Thunder will face Lakers at LA in their next few games. Judging by their recent losses at Portland and Clippers, they should lose that game too. We can catch OKC for 4th seed. Have to win both games. But if there's a weakness I think this Nuggets team has is they have difficulty defending athletic teams like Heat and Thunder. We have to win these 2 games... easier said than done.

Thanks man... hearing it from a Laker fan feels good. At first I was like, "did we win because Lakers were not 100% with Gasol and Bynum hurting?" But we also got some key guys hurt: Afflalo and Birdman (after a mostly sub par season, had been playing great in the last 3 weeks before injury). I've been saying Nuggets had not faced adversity yet... but they found it when they shot 29% at first half, even Gallo (80+ FT%) was Shaq at FT line. But they handled it well, stuck together as a team, the players and coaches figure game out together... and outscored the Lakers 55-43 in second half (only allowed 21 pts in 4th quarter) to a red hot, hungry Lakers team that were completely focused to win to chase Spurs on the Lakers' homecourt... is VERY encouraging. Before trade, we were chumps (10-18) on the road, I believe at that point the worst road record of any playoffs team. After trade, we are 6-4 on the road and improving. Good times to be a Nugget fan... especially after season-long Melo crap.

Too much emotion is not good... Too high or too low is not good. We want solid, steady. If this was WCF Game 7, then yes... Just sayin KMart's focus should be on bigger picture on us getting better as a team, than just "beating the Lakers and barking and boasting to their fans" To me, displaying that attitude means he's satisfied with this W. It's too early. Team consisting of players and coaches have to want more than just this game, no matter how huge a W it is, it's still a regular season.
-
Trash-talking at fans takes away our team focus... we're not playing to break other teams' fans' hearts, or to say "yeah we beat Lakers", trash talk to their fans that we won on their homecourt and get satisfied. The focus should be to win and keep winning. This win is huge, but we should treat it as one of 82 games now it's past, cuz we'll fall into "satisfied" mode. But it's not like he does it every possession, so I'm okay with a little bit of non-sense.

I don't mind Kenyon getting all excited... it's a game-sealing bucket. But would have preferred him not to... the problem I have with that is it says, "I did that, I'm the man!" instead of "WE did it!". Gotta get rid of me me attitude from Melo era... it's all "us" and "team" now. We're 6-4 on the road now after trade... not great but we're actually winning on road and definitely not atrocious 10-18 before trade. Very impressed with this W. Like Lakers trying to catch Spurs, we're trying to catch Thunder for 4th spot and homecourt. We get to play Thunder 2 more times...

You mean Old Mamba. Loving this team's activity.
-
Nah this aint playoffs yet But I trust this team more than that 09 WCF team with Melo. Our defense then was "pretty solid", now it's legitimate. Witness J.R.'s PG passing skill

69 - 69 tie going to 4th Reminds me of 5th game 2009 WCF when we went to 4th quarter 75-all... and Lakers blew us out in the 4th. Gonna be different this time I suspect.
