  1. Grill Box they have this deal where all the $10 burgers are $5 now... so yummy. Even Fish n Chips and Chicken n Chips are $5..
  2. Good call on "Blair Witch Project"... that's one of the scariest because it's so original and although I'm a bit skeptical, but it is probably true. And Texas Chainsaw Massacre the original also freaked me .
  3. I just watched "The Haunting in Connecticut"... average...
  4. I think he's a player deserving more than a minimum. He can score although accompanied with inconsistency. But he's one of the best backup scoring SF you can find in this L... I think he's been undervalued a little bit.
  5. Usually the original version Japanese Ring or the Grudge are scary... about 10x scarier than the Hollywood remake. The Shining is very good, I suspect because of its simplicity in both plot and technology. You see these new horror movies, they try to scare with camera effects but what it really shows is how unoriginal and fake the scenes are... the intention to make it scarier now backfires and it only makes it less scary. Subtle scary without too much "movie makeup" (picture and sound) usually works. That's why the older horror movies are usually scarier than the new ones.
  6. Let's see if he's a better coach than he showed in 1998-99 season... he has to interact better with players.
  7. I wouldn't really look at Cleveland a legit title contender yet for the simple reason they acquired Shaq. He can really improve them or make them considerably worse. We don't know how well he can mesh with LeBron, we don't how well he can move the ball as Z and Varejao can, and we don't know if he would clog the lane for LeBron. And lastly, we don't know if he can stay healthy. Just because he was an All Star doesn't mean he is a great fit on this team. Now all the contenders have made moves, it's up to the Nuggets to follow... remember we traded for Chauncey in November, not July. Wark (our GM) also said this. And there's still two months until the season begins.
  8. ^On a team with plenty of passers, and generally unselfish players, you must take shots. Hedo's presence and his being a good passer and his passing nature will rub off the rest of the team. If a player can't make shots like Wright has not shown consistently, he will play little minutes. It's not about someone who is unhappy not taking shots... it's about the team being happy if they can make shots. They're trying to create the Magic offense here with Bosh the only below average three point shooter on the lineup. Bargnani, Calderon, Hedo himself are exceptional three pt shooters. If there is another perimeter player who can't make shots, that offense is missing something.
  9. It really depends. If he can play right away out of the gate, then he will start. I think he will be able to play right away, but if Belinelli flourishes, it'll be a tough decision. Whenever you have Hedo as your teammate, it's a big advantage if you can knock down long ball because Hedo is so good at penetrating and kicking out. So this is a plus to Belinelli. Add that Hedo and Calderon are basically the slashers on the team, more slashing isn't necessary... it's the shooting that will count. Belinelli has the advantage here, but if he can't make the open shots, it's also an opportunity wasted. If he can't turn around his career here, he won't elsewhere. I like DeRozan, I think he will be a star but if Belinelli keeps making shots, it'll be tough to take the starting job from him. But if Belinelli struggles, he should be the favorite to start. Wright stands no chance as you mentioned. He has no offense to speak of and his defense is not at the level where he is considered a specialist like Dahntay Jones.
  10. He also burned me on 2K9... he couldn't be stopped, just like I couldn't stop Fisher, Farmar. On a serious note, he should get an NBA team pretty soon. I think Clippers are preparing to sign Sessions? I wouldn't mind if Nuggets sign him, he'd be an upgrade over Carter... defensively, not sure.
  11. From his facebook... http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs124.snc1/5336_123103572304_51926382304_2015952_3775303_n.jpg http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs124.snc1/5336_123103577304_51926382304_2015953_5086294_n.jpg http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs144.snc1/5336_123103582304_51926382304_2015954_2256725_n.jpg http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs144.snc1/5336_123103592304_51926382304_2015955_7520214_n.jpg http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs144.snc1/5336_123103602304_51926382304_2015956_5945624_n.jpg http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs144.snc1/5336_123103612304_51926382304_2015957_1609998_n.jpg http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs124.snc1/5336_123103622304_51926382304_2015958_2765183_n.jpg http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs124.snc1/5336_123103632304_51926382304_2015959_7637240_n.jpg http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs144.snc1/5336_123103642304_51926382304_2015960_4215232_n.jpg http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs144.snc1/5336_123103647304_51926382304_2015961_3619925_n.jpg
  12. He's not a stiff I'd like to see him get more opportunity... hopefully he gets it.
  13. I don't get why Denver hasn't made any effort to call him... he's Melo's boy and he would have a big role here since KMart and Nene are so injury prone.
  14. Definitely Lopez, since there will be Rubio and Flynn. Lopez is a rare legit true 7 foot center that can score and have presence on both ends. Can't miss that.
  15. Kevin Durant... he is probably imo the purest scorer to come to the L since AI, Kobe and TMac. And he is probably better than them... in terms of scoring, considering how silky smooth his form is, the ball is like dancing in his hands, it's feathery smooth. He blows by people like he doesn't try, his athleticism is unbelievable, his range is very deep, his length gives him another edge. And he is more all around than people realize, he has very good court vision and passing ability. LeBron to me is a super athlete who happens to choose basketball. He is very good at it of course, but he is lacking the nature of offense only possessed by pure scorers and especially Durant's shooting range. Plus Durant is very committed to his team, he cares about the team's progress and has the makings of a true franchise player since Tim Duncan. LeBron is now the better player, but I'll take Durant later, I'll take Durant on my team now.
  16. LOL I completely forgot about DeRozan... I think DeRozan should start but Belinelli should give him a good challenge. It's unlikely both will become a bust... especially DeRozan.
  17. Tim Thomas waiving already counted... Brad Miller Luol Deng Kirk Hinrich Jerome James John Salmons Derrick Rose Tyrus Thomas Joakim Noah Jannero Pargo James Johnson Lindsey Hunter Taj Gibson Aaron Gray
  18. Actually after they waived Johnson and Nelson, their roster is down to 13 players now, so it's not like they're short of players. Utah's own pick won't be too bad. I suppose Chapman thought Utah won't make playoffs this upcoming season so it's a lottery pick lol But not too bad doesn't mean I like it... it still doesn't justify trading one of our top scorers for trash players... if it's Jerome James instead of James Johnson I'm gonna [expletive] my pants
  19. So Barcelona is willing to pay off the $6 mil buyout on condition he signs a 5 yr contract with them? WTF? If Rubio is keen on playing in NBA, he should go with the fastest route, if I were him, I'd say thanks no I'd stick to Joventut for the last two years... and then to NBA.
  20. Supposedly this is a reliable source... but heck we give up J.R. for CJ Millleeesss and James who? If it's James Johnson it's decent, as I'm quite high on the rook, I think he could be special. But J.R. is already a proven NBA player... it's still a no. But it also adds Chapman wants a Jazz 2010 pick? If it's the New York unprotected pick, I'm signed in on this trade. Knicks are going to suck [expletive] this season, it might the #1 pick (John Wall).
