It seems like it'd be a lot easier to write in Ortiz as a DH, then to decide between Smith/Spilborghs/Barmes/Atkins in a pinch hit situation in the ninth inning. But maybe it's just me.

Seth Smith didn't win the game with his home run. In the 3rd inning, Lincecum threw like 25 pitches or something, giving up 2 or 3 walks. If that doesn't happen, Lincecum's curve ball breaks more, and Smith doesn't manhandle the pitch as much as he did.

Because they went from 12 games under .500 to 16 games over it. And because they just beat the best pitcher in baseball today.

You can either wait 3-4 weeks, and feel secure about getting a new system, or you can get a used system, that might break any day you turn it on.

If by can't score runs for [expletive], you mean score 11 runs two days ago, and not put up much when our best pitcher's stuff is at his hottest, then yeah, you can't. Lincecum and Ubaldo both pitched amazing games though. Seth Smith hit one of the hardest balls to right this year, and at a pretty damn good time.

Bush is more agile, quicker, and can break a tackle, 100x better than Bolt can. If Bolt gets open in the field, he's gone, no questions asked. But it's getting there that'd be the problem.

Eddie Royal had like 950 yards on 91 catches, and just 5 touchdowns, with the same "real QB" that Hester has. And it's not just catching a football that Bolt has to do. I don't see why you guys don't get that. Smitty can catch a football too, but he's not in the NFL [that I know of].

Giants will take 3 or 4. I don't see the Rockies coming out of this winning, or tying the series. But, we'll take the WC.
