Duke has been getting so many calls. It's getting ridiculous.

I don't know why everyone thinks Gay is leaving. He's a restricted free agent and Hiesley has said several times that the Grizzlies will match any offer. Gay has always said he loves Memphis and that's his first choice.

Whitest National Championship ever. Go Butler.

Yes, and they're [expletive] ugly.

Contract unsettled for Grizzlies, Lionel Hollins
La Bomba replied to La Bomba's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
I like Hollins and I love what he has done this year, but I think he's better suited as an assistant. He's a player's coach, much like Mike Woodson. He has his flaws as a bench coach. I would try one last time to get Avery Johnson. -
He is one of the best in the NBA at setting screens and his defense keeps teams honest around him. A player's ability to set screens is one of the most underrated attributes you can find.

Jordan Hill's stats with Rockets
La Bomba replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
This guy made dumb plays and had limited offensive ability at Arizona too, but I guess that the second he put on a Rockets uniform all those flaws just went away. -
Really hoping Butler wins this. I really hate the way the tournament turned out. I know I may sound like a sore looser, but the best team isn't going to win. The last few years the best teams have won, but that's not the case this year. It's not like I have anything against any of these teams either.

If Bledsoe is available, I would like the Grizzlies to draft him. We need some depth at point guard and Bledsoe could even be the starter. Motiejunas is a nice pick because he gives us some depth at power forward and a shooter, which is one of our needs. And Gay isn't likely out this offseason. It's actually looking like he will likely stay.

Amare didn't even touch him. I see fastbreaks like that all the time. It just so happens that Bogut fell in a bad way. I don't see how you can blame it on Stoudemire.

Jordan Hill's stats with Rockets
La Bomba replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
He's a good shot blocker, but his man defense is pretty poor to say the least. Once again, his low basketball IQ kicks into place. -
Joey is my all-time favorite college player, so I am hoping he can make an impact on the defensive end if he's given a chance. There are few players that work harder than Dorsey.

Jordan Hill's stats with Rockets
La Bomba replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
Jordan Hill came out of college known for his energy, rebounding ability and his potential. The last thing he was known for were his post moves or his talents in the offensive end. He has a good turnaround jumper and he's good at getting contact in the post, but other than that, his offensive skill set is pretty limited. He has only been playing basketball since his junior year of high school and he's already 22 years old. He's a freak athletically and that's what let him become a pretty good college player. His basketball IQ is nothing out of this world either. Reading this it seems like we have the second coming of Bill Russel in our hands. -

Don't care who wins as long as it's a good game.

Would of loved to see Will Barton, but he's a prep player. He's going to be a great NBA player once he gains some weight. Jackson looked alright, but Kendrick didn't get many minutes. Kentrick is pretty much a project though. Can't wait to see our number one class next year.

Memphis AD needs to get off their [expletive]
La Bomba replied to La Bomba's topic in General NCAA Discussion
"I've spent a lot of time on that with him, things I want to try to do for him to make this as attractive as humanly possible," Johnson (Memphis AD) said. "He told me the only basketball job he would leave for is if (L.A. Lakers owner Jerry Buss) called him and got LeBron (James) and he wanted to coach LeBron and Kobe (Bryant). I want to take care of him as best as I can and will continue to do everything humanly possible -- financially and from a budget standpoint and support-wise -- because we think the future is terrific with his leadership -
Grizzlies Hiring Dikembe Mutombo?
La Bomba replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
Well I would of like Abdul-Jabbar after his work on Andrew Bynum, but Mutombo is nice since a lot of Thabeet's comparisons were to Mutombo. -
Van Gundy, Izzo Could Be Candidates For Nets
La Bomba replied to Sportsguy9695's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
The only way Izzo would leave Michigan State is to coach in the NBA. With that said I don't see him leaving quite yet. I don't think Coach K would leave for the NBA at this point of his career. He has been at Duke for maybe thirty years? It would be strange to leave now. -
Lavin agrees to become coach at St. John’s
La Bomba replied to Sportsguy9695's topic in General NCAA Discussion
Well Saint John's was rumoured that they wanted to go after Josh Pastner, so this is a relief. -
West Virgina, but would not mind seeing Izzo win another one.
