  1. Hard to win a game when Zach Randolph is the only player who decides to show up.
  2. Only chance Houston has is if Coleman has a monster game and Houston's shooters stay hot the entire game. Houston is lucky to be in the tourney, but I'll be supporting both of the teams from C-USA.
  3. Louisville is the the Elite 8 for me too. This region is ether going to kill me or help me a lot. I have so many upsets all over the place.
  4. Go Conference USA! I got UTEP in the upset. This is a very talented team that likes to run and Butler is undersized and doesn't really have a true big man. I think Derrick Character will have a big game.
  5. And by the way, I'm not defending this guy because I have never seen him play, and Youtube highlights don't ever tell even half of the story because they can make any bum look good. I'm arguing against the idea that international players turn into busts, that the NBA is better without International players, and the days of Euros in the NBA are over.
  6. I don't see why people see Horford as a top 5 center over guys like Lopez, Kaman, Lee, or even Noah.
  7. He picked UNC last year so it's not all bad.
  8. Who you got winning Champions League now? I got ether Man U or Inter.
  9. My point is that they (Dixon and Childress) were both good college players and they haven't done anything in Europe. I brought James White because he's one of those college players that was good in college based only on his athleticism. He wouldn't work in Europe.
  10. Remember that 24 point lead? Yeah, seven point lead now and it's the Bulls' ball.
  11. Killing right now, but really anything short of this would be a disappointment considering Taj Gibson is the only active Bulls starter.
  12. 3-0 Confidence Neither were great, but Confidence's was much smoother and his rhymes were just plain better. No other way to say it.
  13. I'm not watching the game, but it looks like Gasol's right shoulder injury is keeping him sidelined tonight. On the bright side Hasheem Thabeet has steeped it up as a starter with 6 points, a block, 7 rebounds, and only one personal foul in fifteen minutes of play. Ronnie Brewer's first game back as well.
  14. But both of those players were top players during their time of playing college basketball. A difference of a few years doesn't change the point I'm trying to make.
  15. If we were on the road, maybe we would win, but at home, surprisingly it decreases our chances. Grizzlies winning big right now, but as of late we have been choking half time leads.
  16. Mourinho is probably the most boring coach in the world, but I'd take him as my coach any day of the week. He unites his team behind him despite his big ego and he gets results. His conservative play doesn't matter looking at his track record because where he coaches he wins.
  17. Jaun Dixon isn't a top player, more like a bench warmer in Barcelona and Josh Childress is a decent player, nothing special. European basketball is much different than NCAA. I go to Spain every year. I have gotten my dose of European basketball. European basketball is slow, it's defensive, it's based on good fundamentals, and athleticism doesn't matter nearly as much as it does in college. All these athletic stat padders in college with no basketball IQ would not last in Europe. James White averaged 16 PPG his senior year. He certainly was not a bad player in college, but he was a good college basketball player because of his scary athleticism, not because he's a smart basketball player by any means.
  18. Basketball isn't the number one sport in Europe. You can't expect Europe to produce the same number of basketball players that the college system does because nearly everyone playing college ball is American. Let's compare the number of American soccer players there are in good European leagues, compared to big European countries. What you originally said European leagues are not better than college when they obviously have to be because they are professionals players.
  19. Juan Dixon was one of the best players of the decade in college. Guess where he is now? Barcelona. Shawn Taggart is playing division 2 in Spain. Eric Devendorf is in the English league. Josh Childress is in Greece and he was a player of the year candidate (might of won it, don't remember). Good college players don't all go into the NBA. Others leave the NBA when they see minimal success there. So yes, there will be players that go to the NBA after college, but others that are border line NBA players will be playing in Europe. Most of the college players, even in power conferences, won't even make it to play in Europe. A lot of the players in Europe are seasoned veterans. There are plenty of players that I have seen in the Spanish league that are perfectly capable of going to the NBA, but don't because they have already spent years playing there, and the move isn't worth it for a player in their 30's. You're telling me that Derrick Rose, playing in C-USA and a few tough out of conference games, played against better competition than if he played against professionals in Europe? If you said that you think the European system doesn't prepare players like NCAA I could understand because the European system is slow, defensive minded, and focuses on basketball IQ and fundamentals as opposed to pure athleticism, but the competition is obviously better in a good European league, such as Greece, Rusia, or Spain. No doubt in my mind.
  20. Am I the only one who noticed he has his mouth opened in every picture?
  21. So Beasley's ridiculous numbers in college mean something while Montiejunas stats in a league with PROFESIONALS mean nothing.
  22. He played some pretty good defense on Cousins. I was surprised. I thought Cousins would abuse him with that big body he has.
  23. California shouldn't even be in the tourney. The Pac-10 is a joke.
  24. I agree with WVU getting the No. 1 seed over Duke, but that's not that big of a controversy IMO. I have a problem with Kansas having the toughest road to the Final Four even though they were the number one team basically the entire year and Duke having the easiest.
  25. He's the fourth option in one of the highest scoring starting fives in the league (maybe even the highest scoring). Few teams have 3 players averaging over 17 PPG. Even as the fourth option he's still averaging 15 PPG. Gasol's passing is again a very underrated attribute. Part of the reason his PPG isn't as high is because he passes out of shots for himself for better shots for his teammates.
