  1. I don't know about this. The more I watch Dwight, the more it seems like he's just a good weakside defender. I think Perkins is a superior man defender.
  2. If he was 19 or 20 than I would still be hyped about his so called potential, but he's a 23 year old who can only get weak side blocked shots, looks lost on offense, and isn't even that good of a rebounder for a player his size. This guy should of been drafted in the second round.
  3. Does he chew them while he's playing or just during timeouts? If he does do it while he's playing it's probably so he doesn't choke on it or something. That's the only possible reason I can think of.
  4. Soccer, almost more than any other team sport, can be decided by one bad call such as a penalty, an unfair expulsion, or an offsides called or not called. My dad always complains that American sports have to many stoppages for timeouts and commercial breaks, but he even agrees that soccer should adapt to the technology of today. Barcelona almost won A Liga thanks to a goal Messi clearly scored with his hand, Chelsea didn't go to a Champions League final because the ref didn't call at least two penalties. Ireland won't be in the World Cup because Henry decides to pass the ball with his hand. One bad call can mean the game. I say it should only be used for doubtful penalties, handballs in the penalty box, and offsides. People may complain that it takes to much time but it takes two minutes until the players stop arguing after a controversial call. Something needs to be done because refs are absolutely horrible these days.

  7. I certainly don't see he becoming a productive starter. He's 23 years old, he's the second pick in the draft and can't even get on the court for a minute. I would send him to the D-League at this point. EDIT: http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2010/feb/25/grizzlies-send-thabeet-development-league/ Surprise, surprise.
  8. What channel are the hockey games usually on? I saw one on USA once, but I've been looking around I can't find them.
  9. I do it in my sleep according to my dentist. He told me to keep my retainer from when I had braces.
  10. I got distracted and forgot to finish typing my second sentence. What I was saying is a year of experience with a top notch coach can make a big difference on these players. These high school coaches that have been getting players in the league for years know what is necessary these guys to get into the NBA. These high school phenoms been dominating high school for four years. Playing with and against future NBA player can really help them out. Guys like John Wall, Dwight Howard don't really apply, but there are a handful of talented players who could be a lottery pick if they came out directly from high school, but need the year of college.
  11. I think the one year in college has avoided future busts. A year of experience with a top of the line coach like Bill Self, Jim Boehiem, or Roy Williams. It adds excitement to the game because fans are able to watch great players that would be in the NBA if high school players were allowed to go to the league. At the same, it takes away credibility from the college game because you watch guys like John Wall or Derrick Rose and know they're only going to be around for a season.
  12. That's exactly why it has a chance of happening. We're talking about the Raiders and Mr. Al Davis himself.
  13. He is definitely a good NBA player and a player that is too good to be in Europe. It would be a big mistake to go back. The Grizzlies would be an ideal situation for him. We need a shooter to come off the bench, plus he can backup Conley. He would get plenty of minutes. He also gets to play with one of his best friends, Marc Gasol.
  14. Start Mayo at point already. 8 assists tonight.
  15. About time Hammed Haddadi started getting minutes. He is so much better than Steven Hunter and Thabust.
  16. Hamed Haddadi is twice the player Hasheem Thabeet is.

  19. You guys don't realize that I define dominant in this game. I'm pretty much a god. K/D ratio of like .38
  20. Wow, got absolutely blown out in the first quarter and the defense is nonexistent. It would help if we could get more than 4 points off the bench at the half.
