Post What You Got For Christmas!

People have the realize what state Rose's team is in. Their offense consists of passing the ball around the perimter for 22 seconds and than chucking a 20 footer. Rose has come back recently from an ankle injury that slowed him down to start the season and over the offseason. It's way to premature to say which one is better, but Evans has basically been given the keys to Sacramento while Kevin Martin is out and he's basically the team's whole offense because he's such a ball dominating guard.

Knight calls out Calipari; Calipari responds
La Bomba replied to BasX's topic in General NCAA Discussion
Josh Pastner already has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country in his first year of head coaching. Calipari didn't do that intill he got the job at the "Norte Dame of college basketball." -
If I knew someone that did this to me I would want to get them back, but this takes it too far in a way.

1. Opinion of Jon "Bones" Jones? 2. Has Jose Calderon affected your opinion on other Spanish players? 3. Choose one player from the Grizzlies to play for the Raptors. 4. Would Shane Carwin beat a healthy Brock Lesnar? 5. OTR Writers' roundtable soon?

Colangelo Wants Fans, Media To Have HOF Vote
La Bomba replied to La Bomba's topic in General NBA Discussion
This is what I said about the idea on another site. Funny because we both mentioned Yao Ming. -
http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63484/20091218/colangelo_wants_fans_media_to_have_hof_vote/ 100% against this.

David Lee is one of the most overrated players in the league. Plays zero defense, doesn't have a post up game, and his offense consists of tip-ins and a few jumpers. All he can do is rebound and his offensive numbers are due to D'Antoni's high paced system. He's a sixth man at best.

Okay there are going to be floppers every sport so you can't base anything over one video. That's like me saying ALL baseball players are juicing cheaters. Yeah Americans never do anything wrong because they are perfect.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=games/decade/2009syracuseunconn ESPN's writers made a list of the best games of the decade in all sports with the six overtime Syracuse vs. Connecticut game in first. I can't really rate the list completely because I don't follow sports like golf, baseball, or hockey so I can't really say whether that game was deserving to be there or not. I think the Olympic gold medal final in basketball in the last Olympic games should of at least been considered, but I wouldn't know if it is deserving over the baseball games and other games mentioned.

I think the zone defense this team is playing can keep them in most games. This is one of the better defense's Boeheim has had in a while. The big men have to step it up on the boards, and they have been doing better as of late. But I do agree this team will slow down after a while.

Only hard asses are man enough to run around in circles after hitting a ball with a stick.

You guys won fair and square, I'll give you that.

I really like the Heat's when it is completely filled, but the games I see, it's pretty empty. I like Staples too, and MSG because of the history behind it.

Elliot Williams had a near triple-double last night with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Nice to see he's passing it more. Will Coleman sucks. He had Joey Dorsey comparisons, but he isn't skilled at all and can't rebound for [expletive]. He's just a huge guy with athleticism.

Knight calls out Calipari; Calipari responds

I guess Josh Pastner must be cheating too because he's doing things Calipari never even dreamed of in his first year of coaching. Memphis didn't have garbage players on it. They went to Elite 8 before Rose and were a timeout away from a National Championship when they had Rose. I don't think any money was part of this, but I do think Calipari was fully aware of Rose's scores considering Rose took the ACT in Detroit, home of Calipari's buddy, World Wide Wes. Calipari has proven he can get players in the NBA and has an easy system any dumb [expletive] can understand. He's a horrible X's and O's coach, but he can get guys into the league and that's all these one and dones really care about. -
has Zach Randolph been a plesent surprise?
La Bomba replied to BlueDevil's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
The Grizzlies started the year off poorly and were 1-6 playing a lot of road games against good teams. Ever since then we are only two games behind .500 for the year and we've beating top notch teams like the Mavs, Cavs, and Nuggets. -

The same bad team that beat the Mavs by 20? -
has Zach Randolph been a plesent surprise?
La Bomba replied to BlueDevil's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
When Randolph came to Memphis, all I heard was how lazy, unmotivated, and cancerous he was. When I see him play he works his [expletive] off to get rebounds on both ends, and works extremely hard to get positioning. He seems to have taken a role as a mentor as well. When Hasheem Thabeet is in the game and makes mistakes, Randolph quickly and calmly takes him under his shoulder and talks to him. Randolph said he was ready to "start a new chapter" in Memphis. He seems like he has done so and he's the key reason to the Grizzlies success. -
Zach Randolph had the best game of his career, 32 points and 24 rebounds.

You're really overrating your team. Kansas this year is far from a perfect team. Everyone on the Nets was a good enough in college to get drafted. Most of Kansas' players won't. CDR is Memphis garbage, nice explanation dude.

The team's youth that will be a factors to the team will probably already be on the team. D-Leaguers usually stay in the D-League, and when they get out and get signed, they're usually on ten day contacts. There will always be a few guys like Chris Anderson that are successful after the D-League, but for the most part they aren't. I think what Latavious Williams did was interesting. Williams was a Memphis signee, but due to academic issues and financial issues with his family he decided to test China. For whatever reason he never went to China and instead he entered the D-League draft and was the No. 16 pick. I think if more high school players did that this idea would be more appealing because they are players who have talent and may have an impact someday but they are still too raw.
