  2. I watched the documentary on ESPN's 30 for 30 series. I never heard of him or what happened to him before but it's one of the more chilling stories I have ever heard in sports. Just strange thinking how a guy with a whole life and NBA career in front of him destroys it in one night. I'm surprised I haven't heard of this untill now to. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Len Bias was an All-American at Maryland and was selected with the No. 2 pick of the draft by the Celtics. 48 hours after being selected, Bias was celebrating with his friends and overdoses on cocaine, has a seizure, and dies. I recommend watching the documentary because they'll put it on at least one more time this week. It was very nicely done.
  3. Both teams are as overrated as they can get, but Penn State has been playing better as of late and they are playing at home so I'm taking them. Not to mention Penn State actually has a quarterback.
  4. I wasn't able to watch the game until the final 12 minutes. The first half was amazing. We could of easily had 3-4 goals and the style of playing was really nice. The ref robed the game. The ball hit Pepe's armpit and there was a penalty called. If we play games like the first half, we'll be as good as anyone, especially with Ronaldo back.
  5. First of all AI is a dumb [expletive], It's better not to even listen to him. Players get into arguments all the time. It's part of being on a team and all Mayo was doing was correcting Gay, which he should of done. Both the coaches and the players said it was nothing. Randolph is yet to do anything, so I don't know why you're assuming it. I don't understand why you come into the forum if all you are going to do is bait the one Grizzlies fan here.
  6. Conley wasn't playing too poorly from what I saw. I didn't watch the whole game but he seemed more aggressive. He played his usual bad defense, but that's not much different from everyone else on the team. If Iverson is going to complain about not getting minutes in his first game off of injury, than I can't imagine what he says after those games that Conley gets hot or when there is a close game that needs to be "managed."

  8. LOL, I've seen it all. Warner > Bress.
  9. I try to be supportive of this move, but sometimes, in instances like this, I can't.
  10. Complete bull[expletive]. Real had two sure goals in the last two minutes but Dida had two amazing saves.
  11. Tracy Porter is having one hell of a season. That might of been the biggest play of the game.
  12. Micheal Turner is eating us up alive.
  13. Iverson's in for the first time in a Grizzlies's uniform.
  14. I love Evans and he has a world of talent, but he's as green as they get. His shot is still very inconsistent and his shot selection still isn't there.
  15. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2009/nov/02/agent-rudy-gay-will-not-re-sign-memphis-grizzlies-/ If he is going to ask for that money, I'd rather let him walk and draft Xavier Henry...or sign LeBron.
  16. That is one of the first times I have ever seen Reggie Bush put his head down in front of a defender, really need to see more of that.
  17. Great one, dude!!! Every time something happens with the Grizzlies, someone has to bring up the Gasol trade where the Grizzlies got a good deal. Original man, I bet that post took a lot of thought.
  18. He plays with OJ Mayo's brother brother now, who transferred. They're looking like the best public school team in the city. The thought Hollins would go to Arkansas.
  19. If this was at Memphis Tyreke Evans would probably get a standing ovation. Every ex-Tiger does, even Earl Baron. This is a game we have to win, even if it's an away game. If we have any chance of getting a top 8-10 seed in the West we have to win a few games on the road.
  20. Rondo signed a 55 million dollar deal today. I'd take Rondo over Gay any day of the week. I think a five year, 45 million dollar contract is more than enough for Gay.
  21. Also, if this happened with players people consider "leaders," like Garnett getting in an altercation with Peirce, or Kobe getting into an altercation with Fisher, would we be saying the same thing?
  22. He would be much better if he had more than half a second to pass because of that piss poor offensive line and actually had NFL wide receivers. He gets a lot of heat, and rightfully so, but there is absolutely nothing going right for the Raiders' offense.
  23. I know no one cares about Memphis football, but... It really doesn't seem like Tommy West will be back next season and I've been looking around the web and these look like the possible canidates. Former Clemson coach Tommy Bowden Current North Alabama coach Terry Bowden Oklahoma offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson Ole Miss defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn Arkansas assistant John L. Smith Former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville I would love to see Tommy T, but he isn't really Memphis material if you ask me. He deserves to be in a big name program. I heard Phillip Fulmer's name too, but I just see him staying in retirment, plus Memphis and Tennessee are pretty big basketball rivals. I wouldn't be surprised if we got Tyrone Nix or Tommy Bowden.
  24. Sedrick Ellis is out for this game so I'm a little worried about our run defense without him. Atlanta's secondary is nothing special. I think Bress can have a nice game.
