Warriors' Move To San Francisco Makes Joe Lacob Ownership A Success The re-location out of the Oakland has begun, and surprisingly the Golden State Warriors are the first Oakland-based team to do it. According to the San Jose Mercury News, the Warriors have finalized a deal that will relocate them from one of the oldest arenas in the NBA (Oracle Arena) to a state-of-the-art arena in San Francisco by the 2017-18 NBA season. The arena is reportedly going to be built on piers 30-32 and will be paid for by private funding. The deal is said to include 1,000 parking spaces for the venue. Source
