  1. Odom out: The Lakers won’t have a chance to catch up with former teammate Lamar Odom. Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said the forward has been excused from the game for a “family matter” and will rejoin the team on Monday. http://tbt.blogs.nba.com/2012/02/22/lakers-at-mavericks-930-p-m-et-2/
  2. True but the Clippers would've NEVER beaten the Magic and the Sixers on their recent road trip IF it wasn't for Reggie Evans. He was truly a difference-maker in those two. Key defensive plays and clutch offensive boards that really kept the Clippers alive.. Reggie Evans changed the team totally.
  3. It's official -- Hawks' Johnson (knee) to sit out All-Star weekend: http://www.nba.com/2012/allstar/2012/02/22/hawks-johnson-out.ap/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt2
  4. That's gotta be San Anton's most lopsided worst loss this season, BTW.
  5. Still look better than: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HjLov5vDmC0/TxSVIl5ykTI/AAAAAAAADCU/PDqicxgGfgQ/s1600/USA_Mens_Basketball_Team_2008.jpg ^ The star was a complete fail. Good thing it was left off the new unis!! And, the focus on the "S" (new ones) reminds a bit of: http://www.seeklogo.com/images/S/Superman_returns-logo-D460ECD23A-seeklogo.com.gif http://s3.amazonaws.com/nikeinc/assets/7892/Nike-Basketball-Innovation-Su12-Kobe-1_large.jpg
  6. Wow, the Blazers are still murdering the Spurs 90-56 so far (3rd). That's gotta be the lowest amount the Spurs have scored this season (through 3 qtrs).
  7. Not much of a difference between the game-worn jerseys by Nike Reebok* and Adidas as the NBA doesn't allow brand logos on uniforms (Amen! to that one). I was referring to pre-game warm-up kits, actually. I prefer Nike's designs - more simple ones, so I wish NBA apparel were supplied by Nike. ---- *As of 2006, the NBA team jerseys are manufactured by Adidas, which purchased the previous supplier, Reebok.
  8. Lin stood up for Kris Humphries after Humph was showered with boos.
  9. Marvin Williams “vehemently denies” making trade request: Earlier today, we told you about an ESPN.com report from Chris Broussard which cited sources saying that Marvin Williams “wants out” of Atlanta, in hopes of playing for a team where he’ll have a bigger role offensively. Williams himself has now denied that report directly, according to Hawks PR man Arthur Triche on Twitter: "The #Hawks just landed in NYC and had a convo with a very disappointed Marvin Williams, who while attending the funeral of a family friend, had to hear about his “reported” trade request. He vehemently denies ever asking for a trade and said, “you know that’s not me”. It’s silly to try to refute a denial like this when it comes directly from the player’s mouth, but it’s worth noting that the information in the Broussard report and the statement by Williams that he never “asked for a trade” could very well both be 100 percent accurate. 10. The Pacers are really struggling against the Hornets in this one. Won't be surprised if the Hornets take the win!
  11. ^ I don't think you and Lkr understood what I meant. Anyhow, back on topic -- seems like Mitch is trying to make some changes: Report: Lakers like Beasley: Full Story

  14. Sick design!!! By the way, the NBA shouldn't have made that dumb deal with Adidas (official kit supplier). <_< Nike >>> adidas.
  15. Arenas Ready For The Comeback? By Sekou Smith HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS – We asked a last week if it was time for the Los Angeles Lakers to consider signing Gilbert Arenas to help shore up their point guard deficiencies and the response was overwhelmingly (84 percent) in favor of the Lakers doing exactly that. But other than the reports that Arenas was in Los Angeles for a workout that was attended by Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchack, among others, we had no idea what the full scope of a potential comeback attempt by Arenas entailed. We have a much better idea now after reading this detailed interview with Arenas, courtesy of our main man Sam Amick of SI.com, who delves deep into the psyche of the man formerly known as Agent Zero. 16. JaVale immitating Usain Bolt didn't cost his team the loss. Martell could've won the game. He actually hurt his team when it mattered the most. JaVale's move didn't really make that much of a difference at the end of the day. That's why Webster's move is much worse than McGee's, IMO.
  17. ^ CSKA (Moscow) got lucky to even the game with a last-minute shot. Well undeserved. <_<
  18. It was just an example of a good, talented player who (for some reason, injuries or not) couldn't live up to his potential. BTW, last night DeAndre got owned by Ekpe Udoh ('Ekpe Who?!!'). <_<
