Sħãlïq™ replied to Legacy's topic in General NBA Discussion
Good read, Yama. We can only hope for better days... EDIT: Needless to say, Šhãłïq voted 'No' in the poll. -
I wasn't the only one who made consecutive posts, if that's what you mean. And FYI, I waited like 2+ hours in between most posts. It looked like nobody else cared...

^ Quite possibly the most exaggerated comment in recent OTR history.

^My reaction when I saw this: I know RD was comparing them as closers, not as overall PGs, but even so.... Even in that case - JYD put it best: 'NOT. EVEN. CLOSE.' That's why I started this thread. NOTE: Poll added.

Is Chris Paul the best closer in the game?
Sħãlïq™ replied to Flash's topic in General NBA Discussion
I know, bro. Every now and then Rubio makes silly crunch time mistakes that kill his team. -
Yeah, I meant 'anyone else besides Blake'. BTW, Bruce Bowen thinks Blake's making the right decision not to take part: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=7585019

Our owner recently eclipsed the '44,000-Post Plateau' (Props, B!!!), and some questions came up: "What's the record for most posts by a forum member?" Oldest Active Forum? What's the unnofficial world record for 'Most posts to a single message board thread'? The most I could find's this 'Xbox 360 vs PS3' thread's got 249,964 posts across 16,665 pages: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/gaming-discussion/xbox-360-vs-ps3-vs-wii/t.12092668/ ^ These guys really have no life(!). BTW, our "Random Thread" has got 4,070+ posts across over 2 years (turnin' two on February 19th). Our average of 169,58 per month shows we're pretty active in the random thread. In comparison, the "The Official Random Thread", 2 Girls 1 Cup on West Coast Remix had 3,950 posts in a 4,5 year span (Feb. 26th, 2006 -- Jun. 26th, 2010) -- an average of 75,96 per month. In other words, we're outposting WCX by 93,62 posts per month in the random thread! And WCX used to be one of the most active online message boards a few years ago... How many of you remember West Coast Remix? And how many used to post there? What nickname you used?

http://www.latimes.com/media/photo/2012-02/23472126413520-16152038.jpg The Facebook page of Victor Cruz, Super Bowl champion wide receiver for the New York Giants. (Facebook / February 16, 2012) Facebook, following the lead of Twitter and Google+, is verifying user accounts and allowing for pseudonyms. But the verification and policy change on nicknames -- Facebook has previously mandated that users use their legal names -- won't be available to the general public. Instead, verified accounts are by invitation only and, for now, those invitations will go to celebrities and to users with a large number of subscribers. In an statement emailed to The Times on Thursday, Facebook described the move as "a minor update" to its Subscribe feature. "Starting today, we'll begin testing a verification process for people with a large number of subscribers," Facebook said. "The new process enables people to verify their identities by submitting a government issued ID. Once verified, they'll also have the option to more prominently display an alternate name (nickname, maiden name, byline, etc.) on their timelines in addition to their real name. This update makes it even easier for subscribers to find and keep up with journalists, celebrities and other public figures." Source

Is Chris Paul the best closer in the game?
Sħãlïq™ replied to Flash's topic in General NBA Discussion
Chris Paul is NOT the best closer in the game. One of the best, but not the best. I agree with: However, I strongly disagree with this opinion: @ comparing CP3 with Rubio. CP3 >>>> Rubio, not even close. And to anyone who calls me a homer: F*CK OFF 'cause I just said: Chris Paul is NOT the best closer in the game!!!! -

Huge win for L.A. The Clippers out-rebounded their opponent for the eighth game in a row: they grabbed 51 boards to Washington’s 36 last night, and 47-27 tonight.
