  6. Good thing it ain't been deactivated. That makes us even more unique. I don't know if we are the only board with Team Rep icons (probably), but we sure are the only one with 31 icons!!
  7. Šhãłïq couldn't agree moe. The Lakers should do it, and do it now!
  8. Great vid! It's a shame 'Twan didn't sing. Thanks for sharing, Adam!
  9. Beautiful team Clipper effort. I'm speechless...
  10. I wouldn't say Griffin is 'afraid'. Maybe he wants to focus on the other two events he'll participate. It would've been a weekend way to busy if he took part in three events. Come to think about it, has anyone ever done that?
  11. It took me like 5 mins. to realize DEE-Troit had actually beaten the Celtics in Boston. Good win for the Pistons!

  13. Herbert signs on for Brazil 2014 (AFP) Tuesday 14 February 2012 http://i43.tinypic.com/10zwiee.jpg Herbert (front) signs on for Brazil 2014. © AFP New Zealand football coach Ricki Herbert has signed a contract extension tying him to the All Whites until the end of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ campaign. The deal means Herbert, who took over in 2005, is set to become the All Whites' longest serving coach, New Zealand Football (NZF) said. "We believe Ricki is the man to see us through the qualifiers and, if things go to plan, on to another Confederations Cup and World Cup," NZF chief executive Grant McKavanagh said. Herbert's All Whites team was the only side to remain undefeated at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, securing three draws in the group stages but failing to advance to the knockout phase. To reach the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, New Zealand need to top the Oceania qualification rounds, then win a home-and-away play-off against the fourth placed team in CONCACAF, covering North and Central America and the Caribbean. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/preliminaries/news/newsid=1583841/index.html
  14. ^ That's the second time in the last 3 editions of the Nations Cup that 'The Elefants' reach the final and can't take the trophy. In other news: Spotlight suits rising co-hosts http://www.fifa.com/mm//Photo/WorldFootball/NationalTeams/01/57/96/08/1579608_FULL-LND.jpg Although Zambia flew home with the gold trophy, there were many winners after three weeks of exhilarating action at the recently concluded CAF Africa Cup of Nations. A first-ever title for the underdog Chipolopolo is being celebrated with gusto, but it was generally a tournament of surprises and unlikely advancement - for none more than co-hosts Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. The concept of co-hosting itself was a risk taken so that smaller countries could step into the spotlight, and the two Atlantic-bordering nations passed the off-pitch tests with excellent marks. “This is the first time we have had two countries co-bidding to host the finals and putting together the tournament together,” said Confederation of African Football President Issa Hayatou. “And it proved a great success. We think both have done a wonderful job.” http://www.fifa.com/worldranking/news/newsid=1584692/index.html
  15. Klinsmann's USA set up Scotland contest (AFP) Wednesday 15 February 2012 USA has booked a 26 May friendly against Scotland as a warm-up match ahead of a 2014 FIFA World Cup™ qualifying opener against Antigua and Barbuda, the US Soccer Federation announced on Wednesday. The Americans will play Scotland in Jacksonville, Florida, and four days later face Brazil in suburban Washington. Four days after that match, they face Canada in Toronto. Those matches will set the stage for the first CONCACAF semi-final group stage match for the Americans against the Caribbean dual-island nation on 8 June in Tampa, Florida. Antigua and Barbuda have never faced the Americans. Jamaica and Guatemala are also in the group and only two teams will advance to next year's final round of qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. "Our focus since last summer has been to prepare this team for World Cup qualifying," US coach Jurgen Klinsmann said. "It's critical that we start qualifying off on the right foot." FIFA.com
  16. Wow! I just saw this: http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/public/style_images/clean/team_reps/sea.png When did you add it, B?
  17. Well deserved. P.M. OMG!! I just noticed you updated your location.... COOL!!!! You must be the first New Zealander on OTR! Man, I'm a die-hard fan of all New Zealand team sports: All-Whites, Tall-Blacks, Tall Fearns and, of course, the All-Blacks (I believe you've noticed my IRB Rugby World Cup thread)! It's such a shame you didn't join during the World Cup so we could discuss it...
  18. Good stuff with the tennis topic. Repped +1!! ;)
