Got a Most Memorable Moment? Please, post it here! My Most Memorable Moment is when Corey Maggette hit a Game-Winning Three-Pter with 0.5 seconds left at the end of the 2nd OT against the Miami Heat back in 2005. Truly UNFORGETTABLE!!! http://clippers.topbuzz.com/albums/corey-maggette/maggette_capt_las10601150656_heat_clippers_las106.jpg http://clippers.topbuzz.com/albums/corey-maggette/sotw_maggette_050117.jpg http://clippers.topbuzz.com/albums/corey-maggette/maggette_15863136.jpg This thread is worthless without videos! Relive it: It got me goosebumps. Speaking of Maggette, what's your take on his greatest game? And that's not his only game-winner: http://clippers.topbuzz.com/albums/corey-maggette/maggette_game_winning_shot_full_getty_71796944ds014_clipperwolves_11_15_37_pm.jpg And I haven't even mentioned Maggette's career night against the Lakers at the end of the 2006-'07 season, when he scored 39 points to secure a 118–110 victory after recovering from a 17-point deficit: Maggette Nets Career-High 39 Pts as Lakers Keep Stumbling

Blake's Double-Pump Dunk on NBA.com's DunkLadder
Sħãlïq™ replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
He would'nt ever be fit to become one, even if you expected him. And BTW, nobody's talking about flashy-ness here. -
If the Clippers can add JR Smith and K-Mart, those would be some nice final pieces to a legit contender. JR Smith would provide one more offensive weapon with 3 point range and K-Mart could provide the playoff toughness that our team may be lacking. Clippers could use a "bad guy" take care of some of the dirty work. I'm not sure why the Lakers haven't already signed Gilbert Arenas with their big hole at PG. His knees must be a lot worse than advertised.

Chances the Clips deal Mo Williams?
Sħãlïq™ replied to NomarFachix's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
Folks have been speculating Mo being on the trading block (CBS, HoopsDocs...) ever since the CP3 trade, nothing new. Our FO is always looking to improve the team, but as of now no new speculative trade rumors have popped up surrounding Mo and it seems he's getting used to his role off the bench. Doesn't hurt when you can still put up 25+ points in 3 straight games off the bench, and Vinny kept him on the floor over Chauncey to help close out the Memphis game. So I think the Clippers will keep Mo, he's been the only spark off the bench. -
I believe Chauncey will be a pro. He needs to realize the season will be grueling and he needs to save himself for the playoffs. I really think VDN will use the 3 guard rotation and it's gonna come back and bite us vs big teams. Whether it be Mo or Chauncey at the end of games depends on matchups and who's hotter at the end of the game.... It's a good "problem" to have- deciding which guy to play, because if one is struggling, you get to plug in another former all-star.

2012 Tennis Season is Here ... So many questions ..

Djokovic - Nadal currently on!! -
To be honest, I'll be surprised if we win. This is a huge game for us. Chauncey will probably drop 30 in his return while Blake goes off as well, he's playing great basketball. My biggest worry is our transition defense. Denver is scariest on the break. If Vinny's smart, he'll play Mo bigger minutes early on for that reason, and save Chauncey for his 'clutchness' down the stretch, when everyone's playing at his typical speed.

The Curse of (the) Willis Reed (Tunnel)
Sħãlïq™ replied to NomarFachix's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Uhm.. I really doubt this would have any effect... RD's suggestion makes much more sense to me. -
A good read on Chauncey (didn't wanna create a separate topic about it): There is a permanently planted chip on the shoulder of Chauncey Billups, and it only grows in size as time goes on. Billups is a guy who always has something to prove. Initially it was showing Boston they were wrong for trading him in his rookie year. Then it was proving he was a natural point guard. Even when Billups reached the highest peak by winning a title in Detroit and a Finals MVP, he still wasn’t done. He had to set out to prove it wasn’t all a fluke. When the Clippers were awarded their $2,000,032 claim for Billups, many feared for the worst. Here was the league’s most notorious losing franchise, with the league’s most tarnished reputation, picking up a player on his last legs heavily invested in protecting his legacy. Without Chris Paul, it’s likely a nightmare scenario. But once Paul became a Clipper, Billups backed off his harsh threats and changed his tune — sort of. Billups refers to Paul as “his little brother,” and routinely makes comments about how nice it is to have two great point guards on the roster. Billups’ comments almost seem to indicate that Paul is playing with him, and not the other way around. This puts the Clippers in a peculiar situation. Billups has the market cornered on being the Clippers only “slasher” on the roster and is the only wing player really capable of drawing fouls. With that said, Mo Williams has proven himself the superior offensive player so far this season, and will likely look better with the rest of the starting unit at the end of games. And therein lies the issue. Can Del Negro bench “Mr. Big Shot” down the stretch of game with any sort of frequency and expect that to go over well? Can you directly make light of the fact that Billups last claim to stardom (his “clutch” shooting) is no longer worthy? You can read the rest of it here: ClipperBlog.com/Billups And Pride

+ Injury Update: (Sun. Jan. 15th) Maggette (hamstring) still cannot run or jump, and there is no timetable for his return, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports. Spin: The original diagnosis for his hamstring strain was 2-4 weeks, but it's starting to sound like an early February return could be in jeopardy.

It's a'ight, bro. Keep up the good job and you'll be ok.

Talk about yourself, bro -- if you're that sick enough to somehow see a man in a girl's face, then that's an issue of yours. And if you look 'manly girls' or whatever - ok, but uhm.. I'm not like you. And I'm not obliged to like what you like.

Howard Rips Teammates For Lack Of Effort

Dwight so right. It hurts to see such a great talent, and a dedicated hard worker that doesn't get the same effort by his team.... It's such a shame. <_< -
