  2. BLEDSOE BUILDING TOWARDS RETURN Second-year point guard Eric Bledsoe, who has been out since October while recovering from surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee, practiced today. He is continuing to work toward a return in early February and according to Del Negro, Bledsoe may spend some time in the Development League with the Bakersfield Jam. “We’re talking about seeing if he can maybe go down and play a couple of games in the D-League and give him some experience in terms of just getting his mind right,” Del Negro said. “He was out practicing today for the first time in a while. We just got to build it [his knee] up. We want to be smart about his injury and he needs some game minutes under his belt before we throw him back out there.” Source: Clippers official site
  3. I don't know, man. Kobe could've motivated him. Kobe's desire to win's contagious.

  5. Look for the Los Angeles Clippers* (#20) to only go up! ------------------- *Current value: $324 mill 1-year change: 6% Operating income: $9.4 mill
  6. What matters is that he used to have an important role with the Lakers.
  7. Regular season is not Playoffs. CP3 + Chauncey = precious postseason experience.
  8. I'm looking for Blake to have a big game. He hasn't had one in a while, and I think he has a little personal rivalry with DJ (quote: "I think he stole a couple of my rebounds" after DJ's 16/16 last outing). If he has a monster night, look for McKnob getting tossed for a flagrant 2. TI'm sure that if McKnoberts does go after Blake, Reggie will rip his McNuggets off! Brace yourselves Laker fans. You're about to witness a... http://www.efukt.net/images/smilies/fuck.gif

  11. I was listening to Gasol's interview today and seems like the Lakers really can't figure out what they're doing wrong. This team will reach their breaking point and the Clippers can win the division if they go and rip the Lakers' hearts out tomorrow. If the Lakers lose to us they're only one game over .500 and they're damn near 1/3 of the way through their schedule. Two road games back-to-back in Milwaukee and Minnesota this weekend. The way they're playing on the road, they could lose both of those games! The fans are gonna start crying for a trade and the players themselves are gonna start pointing fingers. Heads will start to roll. Desperate trades will be made. Hilarity will ensue... Wish that game was tonight! Can't wait.
  12. Seriously guys, this sounds like a joke! I like Bargnani's game but he's by far not the best One-on-One defender in the league.
  13. WILLIAMS APPROACHING HISTORIC BENCH MARK Clippers reserve guard Mo Williams has been on a scoring tear of late. He’s scored 25 points or more in three straight games, including 17 points in a row during the fourth quarter Sunday. He finished with a game-high 26. The third time in as many games Williams has led the Clippers in scoring. He’s the first player in the league since Nate Robinson to score 25-plus points off the bench in that span and he’s one of two Clippers players to accomplish the feat (rookie forward Michael Brooks in 1980). Call it a Sixth Man of the Year candidacy officially submitted. After practice Clippers power forward Blake Griffin said Williams has been “unbelievable.” “The way he’s come off the bench, he’s really embraced that role,” Griffin said. “You can tell when he gets on the court he always brings energy and that’s what we love. The obvious thing is the scoring, and he brings that, but his energy and his hustle on defense is huge for us.” With Paul working his way back in the lineup, Del Negro said that it will crucial for the team to continue to find shots and minutes for his do-it-all sub. 15. Reggie Evans a Fan-Favorite in Los Angeles By Eric Pincus, Senior NBA Writer http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/media/act_reggie_evans.jpg Fourteen games in and the Los Angeles Clippers have a strong 9-5 record despite playing stretches without Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups, Mo Williams, Caron Butler and Brian Cook. Los Angeles has won eight of 10 at home, with their most recent loss coming in spectacular fashion on a Kevin Love buzzer-beating three. Where the team has yet to prove its worth is on the road where the Clippers have played only four games, the fewest in the NBA. In Los Angeles, one player has quickly emerged as the fan favorite. Naturally the home crowd adores the stars like Blake Griffin, Paul and the like but newcomer Reggie Evans has made a very quick impression. For a team initially desperate for rebounding (still 27th in the league), the Clippers added arguably the best per minute board-man in Evans. Reggie, despite a solid year in Toronto, signed with the Clippers for the league minimum. Joining the team a bit late after battling an ankle issue, Evans has averaged 2.6 offensive boards a game and 5.8 overall in just 17.6 minutes. The way he fights to provide extra possessions for the Clippers has inspired the STAPLES Center crowd to regularly chant “Reg-gie, Reg-gie,” throughout games. “I guess they just like hard work, really,” said Evans recently. “That’s what it’s telling me. We’re just having fun.” Teammate Paul recognizes just what the 6’8″ power forward brings to the Clippers. “When Reggie comes in the game and guys see how hard he is playing, it becomes contagious,” said Paul. “You have no choice but to play hard when you see Reggie diving all over the court.” Read More

  19. Huge Solar Eruption Sparks Strongest Radiation Storm In 7 Years The Sun is bombarding Earth with radiation from the biggest solar storm in more than six years with more to come from the fast-moving eruption http://i.space.com/images/i/14730/original/m9-solar-flare-jan-2012.jpg?1327342572 HEADING OUR WAY: An x-ray image of a solar flare erupting on the Sun early on Jan. 23rd. Radiation from this flare up will reach Earth on Jan. 24th 2012. (Photo: NASA) A powerful solar eruption is expected to blast a stream of charged particles toward Earth on Tuesday, Jan. 24, as the strongest radiation storm since 2005 rages on the sun. Early this morning (0359 GMT Jan. 23, which corresponds to late Sunday, Jan. 22 at 10:59 p.m. EST), NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory caught an extreme ultraviolet flash from a huge eruption on the sun , according to the skywatching website Spaceweather.com. The solar flare spewed from sunspot 1402, a region of the sun that has become increasingly active lately. Several NASA satellites, including the Solar Dynamics Observatory, the Solar Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), and the Stereo spacecraft observed the massive sun storm. A barrage of charged particles triggered by this morning's solar flare is expected to hit Earth at around 9 a.m. EST (1400 GMT), according to experts at the Space Weather Prediction Center, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. According to NOAA, this is the strongest solar radiation storm since May 2005, and as a precaution, polar flights on Earth are expected to be re-routed within the next few hours, Kathy Sullivan, deputy administrator of NOAA, said today at the 92nd annual American Meteorological Society meeting in New Orleans, La.
