  6. STATEMENT BY WYCLEF JEAN ON HAITI EARTHQUAKE NEW YORK—The following is a statement by Wyclef Jean on today’s magnitude 7.0 earthquake outside Port-au-Prince, Haiti: “Haiti today faced a natural disaster of unprecedented proportion, an earthquake unlike anything the country has ever experienced. The magnitude 7.0 earthquake – and several very strong aftershocks – struck only 10 miles from Port-au-Prince. I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now. President Obama has already said that the U.S. stands ‘ready to assist’ the Haitian people. The U.S. Military is the only group trained and prepared to offer that assistance immediately. They must do so as soon as possible. The international community must also rise to the occasion and help the Haitian people in every way possible.” Many people have already reached out to see what they can do right now. We are asking those interested to please do one of two things: Either you can use your cell phone to text “Yele” to 501501, which will automatically donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund (it will be charged to your cell phone bill), or you can visit Yele.org and click on DONATE. Haiti needs your prayers and support: Wyclef Jean on CNN

  9. They had a full timeout + a 20 sec. timeout. WHY THE HELL DIDN'T NELSON CALL A TIMEOUT?! I'm mad... It's all his fault!!
  10. To me it makes a lot of sense. It's all well deserved. His value increase is a reflection of him elevating his game a bit.

  12. ^ Word, but he got time to work in it. Besides, as Legacy said, Tony had to reach back a few times for the last couple of balls. In the shootout, there's someone to push the balls so he'll be fine. Still.. Beastly. Wanna see him in the contest!

  14. This thread is a shout-out to Corey Maggette and his time with the Clipp-show. The look back starts back in 2000-'01 - Corey's first season in L.A. That year also marked his All-Star weekend debut as he took part in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest: http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/3277/01allstarmaggettedunkxa5.gif http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/374/nbaas4762rs9.gif http://perso.wanadoo.fr/nba-history/images/as/judges_030208.jpg Photos from Corey MAGGETTE's only All-Star (Weekend) appearance: http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/5519/maggettedc017zp.th.jpg http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/8540/cmaggette8x10dc8ii.th.jpg ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://img1.imagetitan.com/img1/1/33/hdr_as07_maggette.jpg + Offishal Site + NBA Prof!le/Stats . . . ...T H E 8th S E A S O N... . . . http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/1492/blue480cmr0he4.png http://img1.imagetitan.com/img1/1/32/maggetteespn25.jpg One of the hardest workin' fellays in the league will be helpin' the Clipps finally git that Western Conf. title (at least)!!

  20. A look back: http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f321/sha44/cm50startrack.jpg 2009-'10 Game 34: WARRIORS @ T'WOLVES 107:101 http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/8112/84abf2f9ff9a4c8a8f6cc1e.jpg Corey Maggette scored 28 points in the Warriors' road win over the Timberwolves, after he registered season-high 35 points the previous night in a loss at Denver. Maggette hadn't scored as many as 63 points over a span of two games played on consecutive days since March 7-8, 2005, when he had back-to-back games of 37 and 30 points for the Clippers. QUOTES: Corey on Tonight's Game: ""Yeah it is a nice feeling. We came off a tough one last night. It's real good to come in here and get one (a win)." On Taking Care Of The Ball: "It's always a big key for us that we don't turn the ball over. We're a run-and-gun team. If we can stop turning the ball over, and get up and down the court, more possessions, that would give us more opportunities to score the ball." On Creating Turnovers: "Yeah. We have the league's second-leading steals guy in Monta (Ellis). He did another great job tonight. He had 5 or 6 steals. CJ Watson as well."
