  1. 2000-'01: Keyon Dooling Dunks On Dikembe Mutombo Thanks, nuraman. ------------------- That was unforgettable. There's something wrong with the final score you got though, it was 100-99 LAC: http://i50.tinypic.com/1620878.png http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200312100LAC.html Only pics I could find of it: http://clippers.topbuzz.com/albums/glen_rice/rice_winner_DAL_031210.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YTa7Y.png http://clippers.topbuzz.com/albums/glen_rice/wallpaper0304_rice_1024x768.sized.jpg
  2. "Fireman" by Drag-On has gotta be one of my all-time favorite songs... mainly 'cause of that "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" sample. Been looking to use this song for a mix for a while now. Thanks anyway!
  3. Those season-high 29 fast-break points made a lot of difference! Jamal Crawford set an NBA record with the 35th 4-pt play of his career.
  4. Could be. Good thing he was officially warned for that flop. If caught flopping again, he'll be fined $5K.
  5. Good to see you around, buddy! LAC for life!!

  6. At this point - Jamal Crawford, easily. No question about it.
  7. It's been 12 years since Kobe + Jamison = 102. I remember it like it was yesterday...
  8. Host nation Brazil got a tough draw -- will face, Italy, Mexibros and Japan: http://www.sambafoot.com/en/news/39620_2013_confederations_cup__brazil_handed_tough_draw.html #TAHITI
  9. The mascot's name will be Fuleco... ugly name, IMO. <_<
  10. Check. Next on the list: Move into fourth all-time in scoring, passing Wilt Chamberlain All Kobe needs is a "mere" 1,936 points. If Kobe averages at least 25 ppg, he'll reach this toward the end of the season. Third all-time free throws made (passing Oscar Robertson) With 288 free throws, Kobe moves past the Big O and behind Moses and Karl Malone in the free throws made department. Last year, he made 381 in 58 games. Most All-NBA First Teams (11, with Karl Marlone) This record is arguably hardest to reach, considering -- or assuming -- Dwyane Wade comes back injury-free. With new weapons in Steve Nash and Dwight Howard at his side, his load will be lower, thus standing a chance to decrease his statistical output. Most All-NBA Teams (15, with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) This record, on the other hand, is a virtual cinch. If Kobe is healthy this season, it's impossible to identify six guards better who can keep him from tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Most All-NBA Defensive First Teams (10, passing MJ, Gary Payton and Kevin Garnett) Another tough milestone to reach. Kobe still gets after it defensively and with upgraded defensive personnel behind him (read: Howard, Dwight), he can be as aggressive on the perimeter as ever. Most All-NBA Defensive Teams (13, with Tim Duncan) Even if Kobe struggles guarding quicker players, his grit and I.Q. alone makes this milestone his for the taking. Most playoff points, passing Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) Kobe currently sits at 5,640 playoff points, 347 away from MJ and 122 from Kareem. He'll need a deep playoff run to take top spot (conference finals, Finals).
  11. Monthly update: http://i49.tinypic.com/1zoxfsp.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/285mom.jpg Source -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric the Amazing Here’s something you might not know: Eric Bledsoe is killing in pick-and-rolls this year. It’s actually a big part of his game. On a per minute basis, Bledsoe uses almost as many pick-and-roll possessions as James Harden and he scores better than the likes of Tony Parker, Mike Conley and Rajon Rondo (per Synergy). Being the NBA’s weirdest player doesn’t stop Bledsoe from excelling at some of the more typical tasks. His game is full of happy surprises. But it’s true, there’s something about Eric Bledsoe that just doesn’t look right. As an athlete, Bledsoe’s combination of lateral quickness, power, speed and improvisational grace sets him well apart even in the NBA. But his body seems oddly misshapen. It’s his arms, mostly. They don’t belong; as though Bledsoe stole them from a much taller man, or some parts were mixed up in the factory. In fact Bledsoe’s wingspan exceeds his height by more than seven inches. That’s the same discrepancy as ol’ cartoon arms himself, Kevin Durant … except Durant is almost a foot taller. This is worth mentioning because we tend judge the skill of a basketball player by the things he does with his hands — the fine motor skills of the NBA are controlled dribbling, accurate shooting, the deft pass. That Bledsoe’s hands are affixed to arms that appear generally unwieldy gives even his most delicate moves a sense of awkwardness. They contribute to the unfairly enduring perception that Bledsoe is more track athlete than basketball player, that he can’t, say, run the pick-and-roll. http://hoopspeak.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Screen-Shot-2012-11-19-at-5.55.59-PM.png Mike Conley struggled to do much of anything against Bledsoe in the playoffs (from NBA.com) FULL ARTICLE: http://hoopspeak.com/2012/11/eric-the-amazing/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bledsoe and the bench: Before the game, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said Eric Bledsoe was probably the most underrated played in the league. “It’s like nobody knows who he is,” Popovich told reporters before the game. “But he’s a hell of a weapon.” Popovich and the Spurs got a good look at what a weapon Bledsoe can be on Monday, as he was all over the court, scoring 9 points, grabbing 5 rebounds and getting 2 steals. The bench again was huge for the Clippers, who fell behind by 10 points in the first quarter with the starters in the game but went into the half with a five-point lead after outscoring the Spurs 29-14 in the second quarter thanks a 19-2 run. “We got off to a bad start, but our bench is not your typical bench,” Paul said. “They got the lead for us.” Source
  12. On This Day in Clippers History: **November 28, 1992** The LA. Clippers’ 121-119 road win at Denver gave Clippers’ head coach Larry Brown his 400th career NBA victory. Source Yeah, I know I'm 2 days late.
  13. No. As long as they rely on CP3 to close out games - they're doomed... This teams needs a real closer.

  15. Hey, so Eric Bledsoe's your favorite Clipper!! COOL!! I've got a thread about all things Bledsoe in the LAC section. ;)

  16. Four players from Brazil in the NBA - no media coverage at all, nada. No players from Brazil in the NFL - a magazine about it (in Portuguese!): http://i.imgur.com/hHqXj.jpg #OnlyInBrazil.

  18. Off to Porto Alegre for an undetermined period of time...

  19. I'm pretty sure there were already 3 or 4 before the 3rd qtr had ended.
  20. http://i48.tinypic.com/28sowhy.jpg This had me crackin' up! #Practice
  21. Yeah, zero home-court advantage.... that sure is one of the reasons why the Nuggset was lucky to win this one after so many dumb plays by McGee.
