Jrue Holiday starts hot in 76ers' preseason opener October 11, 2012 | By Dan Ryan, FOR THE INQUIRER http://media.zenfs.com/en_US/Sports/AP_NBA/201210112053752240482-p2.jpg ORLANDO - The Jrue Holiday of the 2012 playoffs stuck around. Yes, it's only preseason, but Holiday's taking over the first half reaffirmed that he's elevated his game and the Sixers may be an improved shooting team with depth. The 4th-year point guard hit his first four shots and was 8-for-9 from the field in the first half, which ended when Holiday drove the lane for a buzzer-beating layup after coach Doug Collins called timeout to set up the play. He finished with 27, and the Sixers defeated the Magic, 102-95. "I had it going," said Holiday, who averaged 15 points during last season's playoff run. "I came out aggressive and had open shots. After a while, the goal gets pretty big." "Jrue was simply spectacular," Collins said. "His last three or four practices have been terrific. He's been playing with a lot of confidence. He shot the ball well, and penetrated to the rim. I'm very pleased." My link
