  1. I understand the disapproval, but hear me out here, Benedict Blasco: We were, and still are, financially handcuffed. Miller wasn't going to re-sign for a dime under his asking price. We take the deal, and this team is dipping into the luxury this season and the next. The organization would be obliged to pay the incurred tax if we were in contention, but as it stands, this team is at the midpoint between qualifying and rebuilding, and it would've stayed that way with or without Miller. I'm a bit miffed that we let him walk without compensation, but there wasn't much we could do. That's how I rationalize it at least.
  2. I would pick LeBron because he nullifies Kobe's referee advantage.
  3. A potentially dynamic playmaker to a potentially explosive offense. I like the signing. It gives them a bit of insurance at QB—although he hasn't taken a snap in two years and he's suspended for the first six weeks—and I'm assuming he'll be perpetually playing with a chip on his shoulder... that type of determination is healthy. I look forward to seeing how Reid utilizes him in those gadget plays.
  4. Fitting, because Boozer the player is also being shopped for half off. He's like redheads at the adoption agency.
  5. Holy [expletive] I hope he doesn't start fighting actual buffaloes. I heard they're endangered over there.
  6. Yes sir. Off topic, how many teams would Iverson be the MVP for?
  7. Alex, can you confirm if that is indeed Dwight's magic stick?
  8. How many of you went to MTO and looked? Be honest.
  9. Name as much as you can. Person with the most right answers wins something cool.
  10. I'm also doubtful of a full recovery — this is his third torn ACL. Regardless, he's a strong, hard-working big that should turn in some solid work in spot duty. No risk signing. I like it.
  11. You should squeeze in a picture of my love meat, she likes that the most.
  12. One loss, and one more than the Lakers' entire win total in the Finals.
  13. The trim is blue. I don't mind it, but the retro one is more aesthetically pleasing, and it evokes joyous memories of a time when this team was in much better condition.
  14. I think. "Walk on the Wild Side" - Lou Reed
  15. Kansas bias. He's their second or third best player.
  16. The whitest team in the league, and you can't even squeeze one in there. I'm disappointed, Brandon.
  17. I hope they're alternates. The vintage road uniforms were wondrous. http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/bhof/sports/genrel/auto_wide/1145316.jpeg http://media.philly.com/images/BarkleyDunk.jpg More pictures of the new court: http://philadunkia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/newfloorhamid.jpg http://philadunkia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/newfloorsixers.jpg http://philadunkia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/newfloorhadiag.jpg http://philadunkia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/newfloorbaseline.jpg http://philadunkia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/newfloorkey.jpg

  19. Remember the last prospect that owned Jerry Stackhouse?
  20. I think top five for Lou is an overstatement. It's feasible, but I'd give him a season or two to acclimate to a feature role in the more complex system, and by then who knows how much progress Jrue would have made. Someone like Felton would've been the safer pick. Also, I'm assured that Lee's got a big season in store. I'm predisposed to dislike him, but I can't help it.
  21. Am I delusional for genuinely believing he can return to 20-10 form?
  22. Wicked picture Paul. Post more. I have two dogs.
