True Who listens to Metallica, Megadeth, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, ACDC, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard who sold hundreds of millions and millions of albums.

Point is, Screamo isn't Metal. Screamo gets most of its influences from Punk Genres (not Metal) and Hardcore (bands like Hatebreed also not Metal). Also people here obviously don't like Metal because of its speed, technicality and the different style of vocals which their ears are not really accustomed to. Plenty of different metal subgenres (over 50), do have clean vocals, growling and all other crap. But I am just gonna say here Metal > Rap. Rap is cool and all but 90% of the music is the same, and just sampling music from other artists and turning it into a beat. Also rappers like Gucci Mane, Drake and Lil'Wayne are way over-glorified. Metal is by far the hardest music to play, if you check a guitar, vocal, or drumming cover of any Metal band, it would blow your mind how hard it is, especially the solos. Sure that looks like a bunch of just drum mashing, but that is just how quick most Death Metal drummers have to be. Another great guitar cover just showing how much skill you need to play and this is one of the slower bands and easier to play. I think you guys don't like it because you don't understand it, when you begin to have a taste every band will pretty much blow your mind.

Metal is one of the most popular forms of music. In Europe it is huge.

Mainstream music is what actually kills music. Music should be done for the love not the money. It's why I always will love Metal, most Metal musicians out there aren't millionaires (unless you're Metallica). Also Metal has the best lyrical themes out of any type of music

Mainstream Rap/Hip Hop is awful I can admit but there is no way I could hate it even though 70% of what I listen to is Metal, I grew up on Eminem though.

Yeah looks like most people agree about country. its too slow, boring and it talks about love 99% of the time. I would say that Johnny Cash is amazing though and probably the most listenable. I'll also give my respects to Willie Nelson.
