No, not an all-star any time soon, I see him having more of a Daniel Gibson type of rookie year. The only thing is, everyone knows Curry can shoot, he's got so much hype around it and the defenders aren't just different, they're a whole lot better and he's coming in with pre-registered hype and pressure. Regardless of if he becomes the player people are saying he'll be or if he's a "bust" I think he won't have a great first year and he'll struggle at first.

Milsap, Roy, Martin, and Lee. Lee is a fan favorite, but he doesn't get as much respect for the good player he is.

Which random fast paced lineup do u like more
Sheriff Shaq replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Player Comparisons
Not as much, but I wouldn't say "no." Terry and MP can both score well and in this fast pace tempo the team is supposed to run, I don't think it'd be as much an issue as long as the defense comes to play. -
Could end up having similar issues like JJ Redick.

"In order to get something you've never had, you must do something you've never done." I love that one. Nice. I'll remember that.

Make Your 12-Man Atlantic Division Roster
Sheriff Shaq replied to YoSixers's topic in General NBA Discussion
G: Rondo G: Ray Allen F: Pierce F: Garnett C: Bosh ------------ 6th: Iggy 7th: Marion 8th: Devin Harris 9th: David Lee 10th: Lopez 11th: Young 12th: Dalembert I like Harris and Iggy coming off the bench to provide some more energy and scoring. -
Cavalier wish list (Assuming we could just pick them up): Hedo (we need a guy that can hit shots, often), Wallace (a big that can play defense, get rebounds, and hit a shot), and Ben Gordon (another guy that can hit a shot more than once a game). I wish we could pick up Marvin, just because he's my favorite player.

Spurs. Jefferson is really going to help out and already solid team.

Found it on another site the other day. Decided I needed some good basketball talk.

I really like Lee but I'd go with the second one although I wish I could have somebody other than Rondo being my point guard. MP and Anderson are two really good defenders, Rondo not bad himself, and I love that. They got the ability to score as well, so I'm in with the second group. -
Okay. At least I've got Jessica Simpson.

I think the whole idea is interesting. I bet it's going to get a whole lot of money while at the theaters, with all of the hoop-la about 2012. If only they made a movie about Y2k before we hit that. Kinda sad though, once 2012 is over, what are we going to worry about next? Global Warming got old fast.

I think it's cool T-Pain does this stuff (I'm on a Boat and this). She's better than Soulja Boy at least... And I still think she's hot.

Money is my favorite. Gotta love it. They'd played it in Italian Job a lot, good movie.

For me it's NaS and Em with Lupe, Tonedeff, and Little Brother thrown in the mix. I realize I turned this into "your favorite rapper" thread but I don't care.

Does Shaq make Cleveland the top team in the East?
Sheriff Shaq replied to Diesel's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Losing Turkey-glue and getting Carter... I'm not sure sold I am on that. I could be wrong, but I just don't feel like he is going to fit with the offensive system real great. I guess we'll find out though. -
Offline with a friend I've gotten to 20, he's gotten to 24 with his girlfriend. I suck.

Does Shaq make Cleveland the top team in the East?
Sheriff Shaq replied to Diesel's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
I keep hearing this, "Shaq will clog up the paint and LeBron won't be able to get to the rim" but you guys forget we had Ben Wallace on the team and he has zero offensive production unless he gets a putback rebound or somebody gift wraps him an assist and LeBron still got to the rim. Shaq has feet, he can move. I think we'll be fine. Shaq is an upgrade from Wallace and he's going to help out Z offensively too. I'm happy about it as long as he doesn't lose more skill to old age during the offseason. -
How Shaq feels about the Cavs trade
Sheriff Shaq replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
I love when he was like, "Yeah I'd play off the bench, but that's not going to happen." -
Game 5 against the Pistons, did you hear about that? Last person to score for the Cavs was Big Z in the fourth with 8 minutes left, guess who took the game to overtime and then who won it? That's just one example, and an amazing one at that. Wasn't this year's team basically the same from last year aside from Mo? Didn't we have the best record in the league all of the sudden? Either LeBron's teammates played better this season or they were just jacking around last season. Alston wasn't LeBron's primary goal. They were hoping LeBron could guard Alston but play off the ball most of the time to provide help for the other guys on D and hopefully get in the passing lanes. If you didn't notice we had match up problems and were trying to combat them any way we could. When Alston started actually knocking down shot after shot, Brown decided to switch things up and put James on Lewis, I believe, the rest of the series. He has gotten better on defense, a lot better. LeBron still guards his man using his hands as his primary weapon. He still needs to learn that your feet are the primary weapon on defense, with the hands as secondary. Although, from his rookie year he has actually gotten a lot better at this and doesn't hop on defense nearly as much as he used to when guarding a player with the ball (which is a sign of using your hands as primary weapons and looking for a steal). LeBron has great defensive instincts, is a great shot blocker, has quick hands, and can read a defense well, it's just his fundamentals that are still a little shakey and which separates Kobe as being a lockdown defender on a guy and LeBron just being a good defender. Which is why Kobe is the better overall defender. So I agree with you guys to a point, that his defense isn't as great as everyone says, but he has made a lot of improvements from previous years. That's a bull[expletive] and not a very good stat/fact to back up your arguement. Teams win championships, not players. Wade didn't do it by himself, Jordan didn't do it by himself, and believe it or not, neither did Kobe.
