  1. Sammy Dalembert. Over 10 million a year for a big stiff that constantly takes low percentage fadaway jumpshots he has no business taking, one of the worst pairs of hands in the NBA, a horrible work ethic, and one of the lowest bball IQ's in the league.
  2. Shaq and Dwight averaged the same amount of RPG in their tenures with Orlando thus far. They both averaged 12.5. However having Rashard Lewis playing the 4 spot will leave you with a few extra rebounds. Shaq had Horace Grant playing alongside him on the frontcourt whose specialty was defense and rebounding and he nearly averaged 10 boards himself with Orlando. Much different than the perimeter oriented Rashard Lewis who averaged 5.7 RPG which I'm sure is the worst among starting powerforwards. The Orlando team Shaq led to the Finals outrebounded their oppenent by an average of 2.97 rebounds per game while Orlando outrebounded their oppenents by an average of 1.12. Dwight's rebounding numbers are inflated because he's the only player for Orlando in the paint. Btw I like how Jalen Rose's explanation for Dwight Howard as the better rebounder is because he led the league in RPG and Shaq never did. Dwight would be lucky to lead the league in rebounding too playing in a league that had Dennis Rodman averaging over 16 RPG every year. Not to mention in this day and age the center spot has gotten tremendously weaker. This allows Dwight to play off his man a lot of the time and get more blocks/rebounds. He wouldn't be able to roam like that playing against guys like Hakeem/Ewing/Zo/Robinson on a nightly basis.
  3. Atlanta is probably the worst sports city out of cities that have all 4 sports. Their teams have generally always sucked except for the Braves who had that huge reign of dominance in the 90's. Cleveland is pretty bad as well, but at least the fans give the team support which isn't always the case with the Atlanta teams. I give the Cleveland fans props for staying rowdy though. And the Bay Area team's suck too. Raiders and 49ers are both garbage right now as well as the A's. The Warriors arn't making the playoffs and it doesn't look like the Giants will either. The Sharks are the biggest chokers in the NHL so they have to be in it too. Seattle is pretty bad too. Their basketball team moved and the Seahawks/Mariners arn't exactly powerhouses right now either. Just seems like a depressing area.
  4. I would rather have Perkins in those situations you listed. Perkins isn't a giant sniff so stop making Bynum look like a gazelle compared to him. I would rather have Perkins over Bynum in all of those circumstances you listed other than switching to guys on the perimeter, but when comparing the defense of 7 foot centers that is a very small detail. Bynum is two inches and 5 pounds more than Perkins and I guarantee you he's not nearly as strong. His "massive frame" isn't an advantage either. Boston was the best rebounding team in the league. They outrebounded their oppenents by an average of 4.53 rebounds per game. LA outrebounded their opponents by an average of 2.47 RPG. Margin of rebound is a better indicator than total rebounds as the pace of the game plays a big factor in total rebounds. Perkins got 18.7% of his teams defensive rebounds while in the game. Bynum got 17.9% of his teams defensive rebounds in the game. He got 10.7% of rebounds offensively while Bynum got 9.9% while in the game. Perkins is a slightly better rebounder. It's a fact. I used 25 points because you were jizzing over Bynum's 42 point game and say how Perkins would never sniff anything like that and acting like Bynum does it all the time. Well he had a good day and it was against the Clippers. He had one other game over 25 points(a little more than half of what he scored) so that shows it was a very rare occurance. Nothing to grab your willy over. Jamal Crawford scored 50 points in a game before. I guess his capable of being a teams primary scoring option. After all he did show he was capable of it.
  5. Yeah I agree about Peters. He's really looked bad this preseason when he's played and that's not a good sign. He is struggling big time in pass protection and is showing Eagles fans how he was able to lead the league in sacks allowed the past two years. Jason Avant has looked amazing though and Asante had some big plays tonight for the defense. I wasn't able to watch the game, but I saw the highlights and analysis on it. And the Eagles sucking in preseason is nothing for concern. The Eagles usually do suck in the preseason and they have the highest winning percentage in the NFC for the last decade. You don't want to use your best plays in the preseason so that teams wont be prepared for it. Bradley's loss is pretty gay, but our LB's are going to have to do. Joe Mays will do better than any new guy coming in without knowledge of the system and I think he can be solid against the run.
  6. Fixed You mad Chris Pronger's going to knock Kessel into the Green Monster this year?
  7. LOL dumb Mutts, maybe Sheffield should pass along some of his steroids so that the rest of them can get healthier faster.
  8. The Sixers suck and I still talk trash to the Laker/Magic fans at the games and make sure that they are not welcome in the stadium. I was expecting a little more hostility from "the biggest rivalry in the National League". And if I get the oppurtunity I'm going to go next year and do the same exact thing. Also lol @ "Good luck on the 7 train if your wearing phillies gear". Not one comment.
  9. Should've made it top 5 since the top 4 is pretty obvious, it's just how you want to arrange them. 1. Magic Johnson 2. Oscar Robertson 3. John Stockton 4. Isiash Thomas 5. Bob Cousy Oscar Robertson is one of the most underrated players in history. For his first 5 years combined he averaged over 30-10-10 and he introduced the fadaway jumpshot to the game. He has 9 All NBA teams to Stockton's two and Thomas's 3. Can't believe people have him so low or off the list completely
  10. wut........ NBA: Shaq NFL: Brian Dawkins NHL: John Leclair if you can include retired players, RJ Umberger if present MLB: Jayson Werth
  11. Clippers have CAP room next year right? Man can you imagine if they added LeBron? I'm not aware of their CAP situation, but Bill Simmons keeps bringing the idea up in his articles. If this move puts them out of the LeBron and other top FA race then I would hold back on this.
  12. Because Jameer Nelson was playing all-star basketball for the entire season up until it ended. Bynum was only playing all-star basketball for a period of 2 weeks or so and that's the only time in his career he's shown that flash. I'd like to see him do it for a longer period of time. Plus Bynum was available for the entire playoffs and was starting while Nelson obviously rushed back too soon to play a back-up role for the NBA Finals. I could tell your team rep without even looking at it. How is Bynum more versatile on defense? And he is not a better rebounder than Perkins who was pulling down nearly 12 a game in the playoffs as Boston's top rebounder. Boston was the best rebounding team in the league and Perkins was a big part of that. Without KG you see how his RPG numbers inflated in the playoffs. And once again it looks like your another one of those guys that jerks off to Bynum's 2-3 weeks of solid production. His stats in that span are inflated as well because of that 42 point, 15 rebound game against the CLIPPERS loool. No other game comes close to that offensive production he had that game. There was only one other game during the entire season in which he had at least 25 points and it was against the Timberwolves in a fast paced 133-119 game where no defense was played and stats were inflated. And Perkins had as many 25+ point games during the season as Bynum did lool. Perkins is just in general a more dependable player who is more durable and more consistant.
  13. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/61291/20090825/beasleys_father_i_didnt_know_it_was_this_bad/ Ok so his dad says the photo wasn't in Beasley's home and that his son doesn't use marijuana which leads me to believe that Beasley was suicidal. It makes sense seeing as how he worked out in Houston to get away from everything. I really hope the guy the best and that he gets some anti-depressents or whatever they need to give him to get him on the right path. Get well Beas
  14. LOL says who just started liking the San Francisco Giants this year and has an Orlando Magic signature And if you want to go around making claims like "Randolph being better" then at least support it.
  15. LOL I almost crapped my pants when they owned the [expletive] in the Lakers jersey and screamed LAKERS SUCK. I kind of want to do this now even though I know this was staged lol
  16. The Eagles will be in the top 5 by the end of the season when they have time to gel if their healthy. They have two new Tackles though and the line has not played together once yet so it's going to be a process. Here's mine. LT - Michael Roos LG - Steve Hutchinson C - Nick Mangold RG - Chris Snee RT - Ryan Harris Basically the same list as iBoldin's but I like Ryan Harris at the other T better than Stewart. Tennesshee does not have the two best Tackles in the league lol. And this top 5 list isn't really in any order Tennessee Titans New York Giants New York Jets Denver Broncos Atlanta Falcons
  17. Anyone saying Baskett doesn't know the Eagles well. Brown is the oldest of the three, he's making the most money, and he offers no individual trait to the recieving corps like Hank does. Hank has size and he has a knack for catching the long balls because he surprises corners with his speed. Reggie Brown is a bust and offers nothing to the team at this point. He looked pathetic last year. And Baskett is above Gibson too on the depth chart. Gibson has looked good in preseason, but remember this is preseason.
  18. Reggie Brown. He has terrible hands and just in general blows. I don't like his attitude nor him as a player. He gets cut.
  19. Yeah I didn't even get any comments at the end of the game when I started screaming every play. I think it's pretty funny how we dished out more abuse than we got loooool. The mets fans in the parking lot were taking it on all 4's.
  20. What're you talking abuot? For someone advising someone to "get the sand out of their vagina" I offer you the same piece of advice. You asked me if I was mad with no other details. I told you how I was doing. Looks like your the one who's mad. LOOOL. Personal attacks are your counter to my ownage of debunking your ridiculous claim that Randolph > Beasley? LOOOL
  21. Just like I predicted I knew this would be your post. Noone wants to see a comparison to a Warriors player in every post you make. btw Beasley > Randolph, overrated or not. Randolph has no handles and no shot. His post up game is non existant as well and he will always get boxed out by bigger and stronger players. His only real virtue is his length and ability to run the floor, but that isn't nearly enough to beat out the pure basketball talent of Beasley. And I'm not mad, just disapointed in Beasley. I have a nice sandwhich I am enjoying right now though. Feels good man
  22. List is pretty bad. Some notes -No Flip Saunders led Pistons team should be anywhere near that list The top 5 on the list looks pretty solid(other than the Cavs at number one). The Spurs, Kings, Blazers, Mavs were all very good teams. The Kings team should probably be number one though on this list. The 03-04 lakers weren't that good. Payton was terrible in the triangle, Malone was injured, the role players sucked, so it was basically the Shaq-Kobe show and they weren't clicking on the same page as they were in years past. That team shouldn't be on the list at least not near the top half. Minnesota shouldn't be on that list either. They weren't that great of a team. The Suns should be higher up on that list. One year they were probably an Amare SToudemire suspension away from winning a title. And I'm glad to see the 04-05 Heat get some love. That might have been my favorite team ever to watch and they definetly deserve to be on this list. Had Wade not gotten hurt in the ECF against Detroit I am confident that they would've went on to win the title that year. Shaq was the true MVP of the league that year and Wade was one of the games best perimeter players. The role players around them complimented the stars perfectly with Eddie and Damon Jones, and Udonis Haslem. A little more depth off the bench was all they needed. When they got Zo their back up bigman was solved. Sometimes it was a little uneasy though watching Keyon Dooling be the primary ballhandler for the team.
  23. Man I hope you get well Beaz, but cmon. If you want to get to that next level you got to ignore the temptations that the NBA lifestyle brings upon it's players. Get well Beasley, I hope all is well with you. Just when I was predicting a breakout year for Beasley And damn if your going to take a pic showing off your ink, at least look at it and see that theres a bag of mary jane in the background. Uhh yeah because this thread is comparing Anthony Randolph and Michael Beasley. Noone cares about your crappy players.

  25. You can't make exceptions to top 10 lists "at full health" or whatnot. Durability is an aspect of the game. When you ignore one of Howard's biggest strengths and Yao's biggest weaknesses it isn't a valid comparison. And we're not talking about freak injuries or something out of the blue. Yao hasn't been able to evade an injury plagued season or a year where he was unable to play at the end of the year since his third year in the league in 2004-2005. 7'6 guys are unnatural and are going to get hurt. The body isn't meant to maintain that kind of height. His left foot has had multiple major injuries to it in recent years and it is not something that can be ignored. And Shaq owns every Center not named Yao, Dwight, Duncan(if you consider him one) Amare Stoudemire has a nice offensive game, but not only is his help defense bad but his one on one defense is even worse. I think Blasco exagerrated about how bad his defense is, but it is pretty bad lol. Without Amare the Suns haven't missed a beat(both in 2006 and in this past year). And if you want to say they missed the playoffs without him they weren't making it with him either. Al Jefferson gets owned if he's doubled and makes a terrible decision, and is just a terrible defensive player overall. Shaq is one of the best bigmen in league history at finding guys out of double teams and it's one of his asset's that's made him so dominant. Shaq is superior defensively to Jefferson and a much smarter offensive player too. Al Jefferson is not a true dominant bigman. And Bynum? Seriously? Only a laker fan would argue that Bynum > Shaq. The same guy that averaged 6.3 PPG and 3 RPG in the playoffs and has never played good basketball for a period longer than two weeks. Bynum hasn't proven [expletive] to say he's better than Shaq who was a legit all-star last year.
