  1. Man it's good to see Sammy working on his game. Out of all the guys who would be at that voluntary(I'm assuming) practice Sammy would be the last guy I'd guess would be there. Jason Smith looking good too, can't wait to see him back.
  2. So I guess because Dirk missed one free throw he's a choker. The guy shoots 90.1% in the regular season and 89.5% in the playoffs, and 89.1% in that individual series. Obviously you can't make every free throw, but Dirk comes closer to that than almost anyone. Wade missed a lot of free throws in that series too. He could've put the game away against the Mavericks in one of those games, but he missed both FT's giving them a chance to come back and tie. Had Dallas capitalized on that would Wade be labeled a choker? Wade made 78.3% of his foul shots in the regular season that year, 80.8% in the playoffs, and 77.3% in the series. He has a similar trend to Nowitzki, but he's just not as skilled. Noone calls him a choker though for missing foul shots. How many clutch foul shots do you recall KG taking during Boston's title run? Pierce was the one who was at the line taking those shots. Unfortunately Dirk doesn't have guys like Allen and Pierce on his team so he has to carry the team by himself. Something KG doesn't and is incapable of doing.
  3. It's not that, it's that the reason they are fans is because the Yankees have the richest history and are usually among the best teams year after year. That's why their bandwagoners and it's the case for almost every Yankee fan not in the NY area.
  4. Because the Red Sox have won both of theirs in recent years and have been a superior team to the Yankees in the present and past few years. I think Yankees fans are worse since a lot of them are clueless about baseball and just blow their load because they have the best history in the game. "Oh we have 26 titles so we're the best!" Their like Cowboys fans sucking the titles won in the 90's dick when their team hasn't done [expletive] in recent years. A lot of them arn't even from New York and the ones that are got to be so annoying anyway. Frontrunners. At least the Mets fans have the courage to stick to rooting for their crappy team despite pulling the ultimate chokejob.

  6. lol someones mad the Red Sox own his [expletive]ty team. lol @ evening the pay roll
  7. I hope Lamar goes to Miami to the MLE. I don't wanna give the Lakers anything.
  8. I'm going to pick Soccer, I enjoy watching the Phillies , but soccer seems like a more appealing sport to me. I played it for a large majority of my youth and it's definetly more fun to play. I think if we were exposed to the european leagues more often more people would like the spot, because let's face it the MLS sucks. In Europe the soccer atmosphere is insane and it gets really intense. To people who think it's boring other than the goals think of hockey. Is hockey boring other than the goals? No. lol soccer isn't 3 hours long. Obviously you havn't even watched a game to know how many minutes are in it. Why am I going to listen to someones opinion who's never even watched the sport? Hey fatty, post a pic for proof or stfu Im sure we got ourselves Brad Pitt over there right? Arn't you the 5'5 white kid that looks asian?
  9. - Mike Richards (Flyers) - Brodeur (Devils) - Crosby (Penguins) - Iginla (Flames) Then all the dudes on Detroit that have been there forever like Zetterberg, Datsyuk, etc. Richards is an awesome leader and Iginla is probably the best Captain in the league. That guy Kane on Chicago could possible be there for a long long time. I see Malkin eventually leaving to lead his own team like others have said. Ovechkin is an attention whore so I don't see him staying with one team his entire career.
  10. I am very interested to see which sport is more popular on this site.
  11. Man I hate being sick, especially in the summer I've been on the computer/watching tv just coughing my braings and this nasty mucus stuff out since like Tuesday and it blows man. I really hate the doctor, but I'm considering calling them today... I don't get sick often, but whenever I do it's pretty bad and it's ALWAYS this mucus crap. It's disgusting.

  13. lmao @ Slaven Go for it though, if your sitting behind home plate that'll be a really cool experience and you probably won't have too many oppurtunities to do that and the price is really good for that. Make sure to wear your Phillies hat.
  14. I would've preferred re-signing Biron, and trading Briere instead to clear up some of that CAP room. If they do that Chris Pronger is still a Flyer and someone would want Briere. He could still put fans in the seats and is a good player. The Flyers don't really have a choice with their CAP situation to get a safer guy at the goalie, but unlike you I am not pleased by this. He's had countless opportunities to turn his character around and he's failed to do so everytime, but we'll see. You appear to be fellating Emery over the year the Senators went deep into the playoffs, yet ignore the year after that which led to his exit. He had more losses than wins, save% was under .900, and his team failed to make the playoffs. Who knows if we'll get that Emery or the other one. The only certain thing is we will be getting the headcase. Biron was pretty consistant with us though and we knew what we'd be getting from him. If we upgraded the defense with him I feel we would have a better team.
  15. If Miller accepts that I will be really pissed. Don't see it happening though. He wanted 3 years/10+ million a year from the Sixers. Miller will probably laugh at that offer.
  16. Well Utah is still going to be in the playoffs. Without Boozer their still a damn good team just put Millsap in there. And they have Deron Williams who is ARGUABLY the best point guard in the league. Jerry Sloan is one of the best coaches in the league. Their a legit squad. Houston won't make it. The Warriors could possibly take Houston's spot in the playoffs although I wouldn't put money on that happening. They'll probably get around 37 wins this year which is an upgrade from last year at least.
  17. Oh I've seen every game of Emery's career. I have them all on dvd. Biggest steal of Free Agency eh? Is that why noone else wanted him for the past 2 or however many years he's been out of the league? Sure your getting him for a good price, but the guy has NEVER behaved. Not even when he had a reason to in Russia to try and get back into the league. Look at it this way, the guy can't get a job in the NHL so he's playing overseas to try and repair his image and try and prove he's not a moron. What does he do? He has another incident and gets kicked off THE RUSSIAN TEAM. The flyers got him because their desperate for goaltending and he is a cheap option with some upside. Homer is rolling the dice though. Pronger and Richards are good leaders, but I'm not sure their going to be able to talk Ray Emery out of whatever he's thinking. The guy was [expletive]ed up and if he does go off I wouldn't feel that comfortable with Brian Boucher as the sole goalie.
  18. Quality young players are the same thing as prospects, even higher valued if they proven they can play at the highest level. A team like the Celtics was in the lottery for many many consecutive years. Then they traded all those lottery players accumulated for a superstar in KG which is essentially the same thing as trading away your farm system, just with a different word. If a team is in the lottery for many years like the Celtics were chances are their going to have some young players that catch team's eyes and make them contenders for a superstar to come there. And I would take a guy that proved his worth at the actual level of the game in Al Jefferson while still young over an 18 year old that is hit or miss. Possible Gerald Green
  19. If you think KG is a better scorer than Dirk you lose all credibility in this thread Like KG would've ever been able to lead that team to a title. He never even sniffed anything other than the first round in Minnesota until he had Sam Cassell and even then as a number one seed he got owned by a Laker team that had question marks and ultimately embarrassed in the Finals. KG wouldn't have even got a ring right now if it wasn't for Pierce. KG had an imressive 13 points on 37% shooting in Game 7 against Cleveland last year. If it isn't for Pierce's 41 point outbursts Boston's season is over right there. KG doesn't have the best track record of showing up in big games either. It was a knock of his until he had Pierce, Allen, and Rondo on his team so he wouldn't have to carry a load he was incapable of carrying.
  20. Dirk KG isn't capable of carrying a team anymore the way Dirk is with the Mavericks. If the Mavs traded Dirk for KG do you really think they'd be a better team? KG is way better on defense and Dirk is way better than offense. KG is slowly turning into a jumpshooter so the overrated post game that he did have isn't even there as much anymore. When talking about great players I choose the guy that is more able to take the team on his back and carry them to victory. I don't think KG is capable of that anymore. And KG isn't a better leader. Just because he screams like an idiot and is more vocal doesn't make him a better leader. He has a great work ethnic, but so does Dirk which people don't realize. Jason Kidd said Dirk has the best work ethnic of any player he's ever played with. Dirk has been the face of that franchise for the past 10 years and has consistantly led them to 50 win seasons. As of now he is more explosive than KG.
  21. Emery isn't even that good to begin with and it's only a matter of time until he explodes. He couldn't even keep his cool on the Russian team he played for. Every team he plays for he explodes causing them to get rid of his [expletive]. I'm not a big fan of the signing and I don't even think there's a back-up goalie as of now? Hopefully Emery proves me wrong, but I don't like him. Luckily the Flyers got Pronger though which is going to help Emery out big time.
  22. An argument their using is that trading LeBron is unrealistic in the NBA when that trade right over there is just as unrealistic.
  23. Ugh ugh get it done. Udonis Haslem is one of my favorite players in the league though and it would really suck seeing him play on a team other than Miami since he grew up there and all and the guy plays with more heart than anyone, but if it brings in Boozer that is done in a heartbeat. How does Haslem/Wright match Boozer salary wise though??? C- Jermaine O'Neal F- Carlos Boozer F- Lamar Odom G- Dwyane Wade G- Chalmers And hopefully an improved M.Beasley coming off the bench to split minutes at the forward spots. Now that's definitely a nice in the Conference. I don't think it's quite up to the level of the big 3, but after that it's a definite 4th.
  24. 1. Brandon Roy 2. Rajon Rondo 3. LaMarcus Aldridge 4. Paul Millsap 5. Rudy Gay Pretty weak draft looking back at it. And Rondo is better than everyone in this draft not named Brandon Roy. He makes more of an impact on the game than Aldridge, Gay, or whoever you want to make a case for.
