If Gay doesn't sign an extension...
Diesel replied to La Bomba's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
That's pretty funny you said that considering you guys traded Battier initially to get Gay lol -
Lewis Murphy = [expletive] of the year. He tries to start crap with Asante since Asante owned him on the last play. He gives him a push from behind and then flops on his [expletive] when Asante gets up to retaliate. What a [expletive]. And great injuries to Peters and Bunkley. The only thing the team needed to avoid during the entire game. Without Peters the running game is non existant.

Thank the lord. I am absolutely sick of the Giants getting the worst teams in the league every week. Nice to see them finally get a team that doesn't suck complete dong. And hey look at that! Their getting owned so far. 14-0 I'm loving this. Overrated

Everyone was "whining" about the trade from the start before Gasol even played a game with LA. Not sure what your talking about implying the whining started only when they won the title. Al Jefferson is a 20-10 bigman who is much younger and could be starting for the Western Conference All-stars at Center this year. Nobody cares about Vince Carter because Orlando actually had to give up key guys in order to acquire him and they also lost Turkoglu. Shaq is way past his prime at 37. Memphis traded Gasol who didn't even reach the prime of his career at the time. And most people thought that Phoenix got owned in the Shaq trade from the beginning anyway. Payton and Malone signed as free agents and were on their last legs. Trading an all-star who is reaching the prime of his career for a bunch of guys that didn't even contribute on the team is why it is the most lopsided trade. Kwame Brown was the biggest contributor that LA had to give up in that trade...

Dalembert can be a good player when he wants to be. Not last year, but two years ago he was a very good player for the Sixers and his impact was huge on the defensive end. If he can get back to that level he will keep his starting role, but I just don't think he can. I also don't think he would respond well to being benched for Speights and that would just hurt his morale even more. Speights is probably more useful off the bench than Dalembert. I think the move is bound to happen though mid season. And during last year Dalembert was technically still the starter , but he was down to playing about 20 MPG in the playoffs and the end of the year. Theo Ratliff was playing almost the same amount of minutes at the end of the year As Dalembert. I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar happen if he doesn't play like he did in 07-08.

-Andre Iguodala has another slow start. I am anticipating a low shooting percentage, low PPG, and high TPG. He has looked really sloppy in the preseason from the games that I've seen and I still don't think he can play the two-guard. -Elton Brand returns and has averages of around 18/11 and is back in form. He has looked good IMO. -Speights ends up taking the starter spot from Dalembert sometime during the season.

Welcome I'm a Heat fan from Jersey as well(although Sixers are my first love)

How long til Shaq says LeBron is the best player he's ever played with? (which would actually be true)

I have mixed opinions on this. I think it's different for each sport. Football for example is a game that relies heavily on brute strength and speed. The training techniques today are amazing compared to 30 or so years ago. If you look at the average running back 30 years ago and look at the average RB today there is a huge difference. Football has come the farthest IMO. Basketball is in the middle. I don't think Wilt Chamberlain would be averaging 50 PPG in today's league, but he would still be an all-star bigman. A guy like Mikan though would be an average NBA center IMO. And I think Jordan's bulls teams would still dominate if put in today's league the same way they dominated their time. Baseball I'm not too sure about. It involves mostly skill. The power with pitchers and hitters is probably much higher than many years ago, but I'm sure Mike Schmidt(a guy who supposedly never lifted weights) would be just as deadly in today's league with the typical training the players do today. And I think Gretzky would still dominate at will in today's NHL.

Awesome sig, I'm not a big fan of the text however and it would probably look better if it was positioned somewhere in the top left. I'm not a graphics guy though so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Yeah Poe I don't even think Wright has starter potential at this point. You kinda dug yourself in a hole calling Chalmers, and Wright future all-stars. Beasley is the only other player who has the potential to be an all-star on that team right now. However I disagree about Miami being in crappy shape. This offseason they have JO, Quentin Richardson, and Haslem coming off the books along with Wade. That leaves them with 55 million coming off the books and they will have a TON of cap room to offer someone a max contract along with Wade. Imagine Bosh(or even LeBron, Amare, Dirk,Yao) going to Miami to team up with Wade. Domination. There is so many all-star free agents this year it's amazing and Miami has more CAP room than Chicago to work with. If they can sign some all-stars and then get Wade to wait a bit to resign for the Bird Rights they will be very very scary. Miami will become an elite team again.

He is injury prone and even if he comes back he won't get back his starting spot with what Maclin showed today. If he comes back it'll be as a 3/4th WR.

Great return by Donovan and it was nice to see Maclin be able to have a nice connection with Donovan. I wouldn't be surprised to see Curtis not play another down this year. Westbrook didn't do much at all, we are very quickly seeing the transition to the McCoy era at RB. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see McCoy be the starter for opening day next year. Andy 100th win!! Defense sucked though and Winslow raped us. Good thing the Bucs suck.

3-1. My one lost was to the guy who is 4-0 and I would've won if Frank Gore didn't get hurt right away in the game which got me 0 points.

lol I was gonna post that. Great wall though, I'll put it on my laptop I'm getting hyped for the season.
