#20 for the Rockets makes sense... mediocre spot for another mediocre season. They made it fun in the second half of the season but it was so inconsistent in the first half. The Rockets need a superstar, fans love these guys currently for all the hustle but having that star attraction definitely helps.

Goodness what a tease job by the Bulls! Jon Barry you can keep gushing over D Rose no matter how awkward it sounds.... I am currently doing the same.

Last night I saw Source Code. 8/10 http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm233/lebronze23/Source-Code-Movie-Poster.jpg Really liked the concept of this movie, and it wasn't overly complicated or to long. They could have easily stretched this movie out and made it overly detailed but instead got to the point swiftly which made it better than most movies that take the "Groundhog Day" plot and complicate it.

Love seeing this. Courtney Lee said players are one by one asking Rockets management in exit interviews to keep Rick Adelman. #hounews

Nice ending to the season Rick Adelman finishes #8 all time in career wins pretty incredible I hope to see him back next year. Bud drops 35 points new career high and what a great pick up by Morey yet again with Goran Dragic who gets his first triple double of his career 11-11-11!

Kobe Under Review for "Homophobic" rant.

Why even bring up LeBron in this discussion? This forum is pro Lakers big time so why is everyone surprised when people give LeBron a tough time on here lol it's like beating a dead horse or at least that's what it seems like during some of the Heat games on here. What he said is not right, and he got caught saying it. This isn't just some random player it's Kobe Bryant it has a larger impact than pretty much anyone else in the league. He paid his fine he even apologized and acknowledged he made a mistake out of frustration the NBA took care of business and so did Kobe who handled it with respect. -
Dick makes a very good point when comparing owners. Les has always been very active in all things "change" he is by far the owner with the most balls in Houston. If he's willing to move on he better be damn sure it's not just a " I'm bored again I want change because I am the owner" he needs to have a legitimate replacement or a young guy like Morey who clearly was filled with potential when the Rockets replaced CD. If you have a coach like that great but I hope he's making the right judgement and not just playing owner is bored again. Anyway the Astros will have an owner change soon enough but that team is screwed as of now they have no talent in the minors and have problems up and down the current lineups. The Texans I don't get... still don't know why Kubiak is the head coach of that team.

Asked a Laker staffer why team wasn't worried about 5-game losing streak. "We have a healthy Bynum. We've never had that in the playoffs."

Love the quotes from Adelman at the end. Blinebury is a witty guy and a very smart journalist that usually tells it like it is.... he used to be a Chron guy but obviously the NBA took notice of him and snatched him up. I can completely picture Alexander giving Adelman the cold shoulder, that seems to be one of Alexander's drawback as an owner, he gets bored fast. He loves change, he loves being active during the deadline and draft, so seeing a contract run out probably makes him anxious and excited to see what else is available, I guess that's the fun of being an owner lol. Ricks got tons of support from his players, and I think at the end of the day that should speak volumes. I doubt a single guy in that locker room (except for T Will lol) dislikes Adelman, and even T Will I am sure still respects the guy just based on history. You gotta be sure as an owner that you have someone/something better out in the NBA world, because replacing a guy like Adelman IMO is a tough thing to do. You know what you are getting from Rick, and I think as a team the understanding became mutual in the second half of the season, that was clear everyone was on the same page. Ricks right it is tough when you barely had Tmac or Yao to work with, it sounds like a worn out excuse but it's to significant to not bring up, all in all once again Rick has proved why he's an incredible coach. I don't want to see him go because I don't think the Rockets can get a better replacement.

I was on that chat thing with Bullard during the game and asked him about the T Will siutation and he said he's a great one on one player but Rick admits he doesn't work well with four other players.... I mean I don't know what you take out of that lol but I guess what Bull was saying was he's just a bad fit for Adelmans style. Hard to say that when he hasn't gotten much of a chance but as most point out Rick has been at this for a long time, so ya possibly more to T Wills lack of PT. I am all for bringing back Adelman I think he's done a worthy job, I just think if you have no one better then it's not worth letting Rick go, it's a different story if Rick wants to retire or is approached by a better team, but you don't just let a guy like Rick go and replace him with some rookie coach. I don't really care if Hasheem plays or not lol two, three games wont make any difference for Thabeet. I think they probably want to start fresh in the off season with him and see what they can get out of him if maybe Hakeem steps in as a consultant..... Patterson was in foul trouble all night tonight, but Brad Miller was actually shooting the ball fairly decent so I can see why Adelman stuck with him this time around. I just think Hasheem is a bigger project than most think and getting him out on the court running around will not really do anything for him right now, just start fresh with the guy. T Will is another mystery by itself but again it all depends how things work out, and whose coaching next season but for now not seeing T Will or Hasheem just seems normal, I wouldn't expect anything less from Adelman finishing out with his "preferred" rotation.

Hope they can work something out because he would be a great addition IMO, he's still raw but has shown strides and that athleticism and vertical Rockets need a guy who can protect the paint so bad. Would hate to see Chuck go anywhere but this team has to get bigger. -

Do Whatever It Takes -
Tom Thibodeau easily for me. His passion is clear on the sidelines and he's got this Bulls team playing at such a high level. Plus I love how he's finally got a chance to be the head coach, he was amazing in Houston under Jeff Van Gundy, the Rockets were top 5 in defense. The defense follows him he's a true mastermind on that end, and it has led the Bulls to the best record in the east.

^ Hilarious movie Last one I saw was http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm233/lebronze23/wall-1.jpg Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps 7/10 It wasn't that bad but after waiting so long for a sequel to the original Wall Street which was amazing, this fell short IMO. That's when Charlie Sheen was sane though lol, things sure have changed... The movie never really took off, and this was more about Shia's character development over the bad ass Gordon Gekko, I wanted more Gordon I guess.

How is Mickelson doing? Had a really good performance here in Houston was wondering if he carried that momentum into the Masters?

Also of course Dog Day Afternoon with Al Pacino which was unbelievably awesome, 12 Angry Men, The Verdict with Paul Newman and so many more. RIP lost a legend today.

Trump is entertainment that's it....... It's like when Rush wanted to buy the Rams it's intriguing and interesting but such a bad idea....he's stirring the pot and garnering attention Trump loves himself more than anyone else on this planet. Props to his success and all but President.... no thanks. I don't think anyone takes him serious when he's getting roasted by comedy central comedians and running his own reality television show, at least I don't.....

Houston Rockets 2011 offseason thread
htown11 replied to ChosenOne's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
Yao is a done deal the Rockets need to move on. I don't mind seeing them sign him to a small contract but nothing significant will happen other than Les' steady income from China, I just can't see Yao staying healthy. But as far as tearing the whole thing down, I don't agree with that. The Rockets have pieces they need to keep, now if you can acquire a superstar that maybe at some point becomes "disgruntled" with his situation then ya NO ONE should be untouchable on that Rockets roster. The Rockets have picks to work with right now, but I would love to keep guys like Patterson and Lowry they are worth investing the time into. Kevin Martin is a good piece next to a star but in no way is he a go to guy. Rockets have to find a big man that's gotta be the biggest priority.
