  6. Dominate what the bench? ba-dum-tish In all seriousness I feel for Oden and Yao. Yao more obviously because I am a Rockets fan and I think Yao's impact in this league if healthy would have been even more colossal that it already has been, but I also think Oden would have turned into a pretty solid center if healthy. Wish him the best this league needs more centers.
  7. Lol ya it does kinda but the story is way different worth the watch for sure. I liked Inside Man better overall but this one has some great scenes throughout. http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm233/lebronze23/buried-movie-curt-johnson-ryan-reynolds.jpg Buried 8/10 This was a really entertaining movie. Ryan Reynolds is versatile as hell everyone knows him from his comedy roles but this was an excruciating role about a guy who has basically been buried alive. The movie immediately makes you question the who, why and how?
  8. Ratings do work as a reference point though. It's just a statistic but it's letting the crew of Big Bang know that whatever they are doing keep on doing it because clearly it is working. We all know the ratings game for television is what's most important to them. In this instance IMO it's well deserved but the show is not for everyone it's different. You have to like the nerd talk and the odd interactions between "normal" people and these four nerds who basically speak in code lol. You have to like that premise that it's attempting to set, if you don't find that kind of stuff funny then obviously it's not the show for you. I think Community is similar in that sense, the writing is insanely sarcastic and I know people that just can't stand that show but I love it. Modern Family is what I watch on Wednesday so it doesn't interfere with Big Bang I am just happy I have some great shows to watch on different days lol.
  9. Lol the laugh track is always added in Chuck Lorre's productions. Not everyone is going to enjoy the show I never said that but to say the writing is atrocious is just plain wrong. The writing makes the show, every scene is based around brilliantly witty dialogue. Anyone who has followed the show since day one has a strong love for the writing and the characters. That's probably why the show is averaging over 13 million people this season and has been consistently growing for CBS since they first aired it. That puts them at #12 for the top 20 Network Primetime Series that air in the country. So they are doing just fine lol That's why I really am glad they have been winning awards all over the place, and Parsons who plays Sheldon is just insanely good. His lines are by far some of the most difficult to recite and he does it flawlessly. BTW I also enjoy Modern Family, Community, and Parks and Rec they are all excellent but Big Bang is #1 on that list for me.
  10. Oh didn't catch that at all.... I think it's the best written comedy show on television. HBO is a whole other beast but for prime time Big Bang absolutely owns.
  11. Lol my favorite show that's not on HBO. The script is genius and I am so glad Jim Parson won the Golden Globe this year. Rajesh: You know there's something I've always wondered about Aquaman Leonard: Yeah? Rajesh: Where does he poop? Leonard: What? Rajesh: What do the toilet look like in Atlantis? How would you flush it? And when you did flush it, where would the poop go? Rajesh: I'd rather swim buck naked across the Ganges river with a paper cut on my nipple than work with you. Raj: In Avatar when they have sex on Pandora they hook up their ponytails so we know their ponytails are like their junk. Wolowitz: Yeah, so? Raj: So when they fly horses or fly on their birds they also use their ponytails. Wolowitz: What's your point? Raj: My point is that if I was a bird or a horse I'd be very nervous around James Cameron. Raj: I don't like bugs, okay? They freak me out. Sheldon: Interesting. You're afraid of insects and women. Ladybugs must render you catatonic. Zack: You know, I saw this great thing on the Discovery Channel. Turns out if you kill a starfish it'll just come back to life. Sheldon: Was the starfish wearing boxer shorts? Because you might have been watching Nickelodeon.
  12. Lol Carmelo Anthony takes a flight to Houston (lets call it a connecting flight to New York with a layover for a few months in Houston) and Carl Landry back where he had most of his success? I wouldn't mind seeing Landry back since he was flourishing here, but at the same time you have Hill who shows signs of positivity some nights, and Patterson who clearly needs all the PT he can get. Not sure where Landry fits into the picture the Rockets are already undersized. The Carmelo situation only sounds interesting when you read the "convince" part of the story lol, but then as you read through the rest it pretty much makes no sense to trade picks and assets for a guy who is just looking for a new venue for a few months when his main destination in NY.....
  13. I pretty much agree with that report card on the Rockets. They have underachieved giving away games in the final quarter numerous times this year. It is nice to see various guys step up during games but I think this has been the worst defensive team the Rockets have had in a while. On the flip side the Rockets had somewhat high expectations when the year started because they were stacked with potential and had Yao Ming returning after taking basically a much needed break from basketball. They are still pretty competitive for the most part, and I think will compete for that 8th spot all year despite not having a legitimate "superstar" in a conference that asks for 50 wins just to get in. The problem is being happy with mediocrity. We went through this last year and it was a "proud" effort, but everyone knows you can only be happy with effort for so long, eventually results need to occur. Rockets are in a rut, they have hard working talents but no superstar and acquiring one seems difficult. Injuries just don't stop with this team, this year has been the year of ankle injuries and who knows whats ahead. One thing the Rockets do well is stay competitive and Adelman may make some bad moves on a nightly basis but he's pretty good about making up for them it's just hard to find consistency with a group like this.
  14. hahaha nice save Bolivar

  15. LOL your trash talking backfired THE ROCKETS owned OWNED owned ollie damn that was a good night for me knowing you were in brazzers crying a river :-)

  16. What did I tell you the Rockets OWNED the Knicks and Amare was schooled by Mr. Chuck Hayes Ollie ollie ollie ollie

  17. Damn Chuck Hayes had his hands full with Z Bo last night, and now he has to deal with Dwight on a back to back. Chuck Wagon might lose a wheel tonight.
  18. Anybody want to photoshop CHUCK MOTHA[expletive]IN HAYES lol because indeed he owned Amare tonight. Looking at the boxscore doesn't really tell the story.....Amare ended up with 25 but time after time the frustration on his face was clear as day. Chuck stripped him a few times and changed his shot several times can't ask for a better defensive performance on a guy that great. What a solid all around win for the Rockets. They started off hot while the Knicks couldn't buy a basket at one point not to mention they play no defense. Rockets could have ran away with this earlier but had control all the way through. Chuck Hayes is a damn beast, would be such a different game if he was still injured. 6 players in double figures. Lowry 8-14 and Hill with 3 blocks contributions from everyone all over the place. Lol

  21. I went to this game! Ugly first half but K Mart, Scola and Hill got it going enough to get the W. Good way to spend the holiday not to mention blast from the past at the game Bell Biv Devoe performed. :glasses:
  22. Tonight's the night on NBC. Ricky Gervais is hosting, been a pretty good year at the movies. I am glad they are giving Comedy some love but man this list is by far the weakest of them all. Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy Johnny Depp, "Alice in Wonderland" Johnny Depp, "The Tourist" Paul Giamatti, "Barney's Version" Jake Gyllenhaal, "Love and Other Drugs" Kevin Spacey, "Casino Jack" None of those movies will even get an Oscar nod, and those two Depp movies were absolutely bashed by critics, I personally hated both. The box office numbers don't show it but most critics said those were two of the worse films Depp has done in his career. I would like to see Spacey win that award, but who knows it's not the strongest bunch. The rest of the categories are pretty competitive.
