You shouldn't hate to say it because it's the truth. I like Rick and his resume speaks volumes, but this year he has made some very questionable calls with key players. When he gets it right it's awesome but when he gets it wrong it costs the Rockets the game. It makes no sense to leave Scola and Miller out on the court together for that long. It's just not a realistic combo especially when Miller isn't making the three on the offensive end. It's not worth the trade off at all. The Rockets have so many one way players that are good at doing specific things, outside of Courtney Lee and possibly now Patrick Patterson who hasn't played much who else plays both ends consistently. Lowry- good defender, hustles, but who knows what he will do on the offensive end on any given night. Martin- Offense no D Battier- Defense no offense Scola- Offense horrible defense Miller- Hit or miss offense now and zero defense Hill- A mystery to say the least....raw Ish- Dish and penetrate but leaving him open for a jump shot is wise, and nothing great on D. Bud- Offensive machine when he can get it going, no defense. Lee- Plays both ends really well IMO and consistent when doing it. Brooks- Offense no defense Hayes- Hats off to the guy hes worked on his offense and had some nice games this season, hes worked on his free throw shooting, and he is not valued until he's gone and the Rockets feel the punch right now. Richness in depth but very one dimensional and when the shot isn't falling what do the Rockets do they crumble into pieces. The Rockets will have to make trades it's obvious, getting someone they actually want (a legit star) and not these little "accessories" to the puzzle seems nearly impossible.
