  1. Eric Gordon really breaks out this year and it's in large part due to a healthy and very dynamic teammate in Blake Griffin. Griffin's game will command a ton of attention, leaving Gordon more wide open around the perimeter.
  2. ^ I'm throwing the B.S. flag on that 20 team league you apparently have. You're roster has too many notable players to be a 20 team league. You're in a 12 team, Yahoo Public League, don't lie. I was actually auto'd my first pick (Steph) for showing up late. PG - Stephen Curry SG - Brandon Roy G - OJ Mayo SF - Rashard Lewis PF - Ama're Stoudemire F - LaMarcus Aldridge C - Andrew Bynum C - Brendan Haywood Util - Vince Carter Util - Mike Conley - - - - - - - - - - BN - Shawn Marion BN - Linus Kleiza BN - Tyson Chandler
  3. With only an 8 team league and 13-man rosters...every GM's team looks sexy. My only question is what was your first round draft position?
  4. UNDER Brandon Roy - People respect him as a top tier NBA talent but I don't think anyone realizes just how good he would be if he was playing in a faster pace offense. I don't know about ya'll but I think playing outside of McMillan's slow tempo scheme would see him end up in the top of the MVP voting. JJ Redick - I really hate Duke but that hatred doesn't necessarily cloud my judgement. His career got off to a slow start but this guy comes off the bench and can't miss. He's one of the best roleplayers a team can have and a spectacular shooter. Gerald Wallace - When will this guy get the credit he deserves for working the floor as hard as he does? Wallace is a great swingman, always improving scorer, and a huge defensive weapon for the Bobcats. Trevor Ariza - What he did for a tattered Houston team in 2009-10 says a lot about his maturity and playmaking ability. The Rockets became an afterthought once Yao went down and suddenly we all stopped paying attention to Ariza. Tim Duncan - Perhaps the most underrated player of all time. Would Tim get any respect had he not won 4 championships? I doubt it. Not the flashiest player in history but he's got the numbers, he's got the minutes spent dominating the paint, he's got the individual awards, and the titles. It is my opinion that Tim will never be viewed as one of the top 12 players in league history as he should be. OVER Lebron James - I do not doubt how good this man is at playing basketball but his game isn't complete. It will be real interesting to see Lebron have to share the ball more this season. The man does not know how to play basketball without the basketball in his hands. Andrew Bynum - After all this time, I still hear Laker fans saying: "...and if we have Bynum healthy...". All this team has done w/o him and yet he's still viewed as this giant missing piece to their starting lineup. Bynum on the floor is a defensive upgrade but c'mon, the Lakers have done plenty w/o him...and that's still an understatement. Richard Jefferson - A classic example of how much better Jason Kidd makes his teammates look. Hedo Turkoglu - Way too streaky of a player. Hedo literally doesn't do jack for I'd say 70% of the season. Makes his name by coming up clutch in a playoff series or 2 but he's nowhere close to being worth that last contract he signed. Andre Iguodala - Great basketball player but he's no legit star. Philly fans overrate this guy to death and why am I the only person who believes Iggy's game has peaked? Derrick Rose - This guy's face is all over the place and it's got a lot to do with Chicago hoping and praying for another Jordan. Rose has a lot of potential but how about making him earn all the credit first? He doesn't like to share the ball, he's an inefficient scorer, a horrible defender, and he doesn't have it in him to takeover a game.
  5. The Pistons were sold to a new ownership group and it just wouldn't make sense for Ervin to sell minority stake in the Lakers, only to buy minority stake in the Pistons. Judging by his comments that are being made into a front page headline...it seems as though Magic is trying to put together an ownership team for a Los Angeles NFL franchise.
  6. Thanks NBA! The demand for this shoe just sky-rocketed with this news. I refuse to drop $300 for a pair of kicks but I am curious to see if they have a jet engine hidden in the soles or something.
  7. I'm new to the site but I'll but my vote of "yes" into the bucket. After reading through a few discssions, I don't think less censorship will be a problem for thsi community.
  8. Got it, thanks. No, not these particular 2. I can make sigs but I will wear other ppl's work if it catches my eye.
  9. Just wanted to give ya'll a shout. I heard some good things about this site and I look forward to spending a lot of time here this season. I'm obviously a huge Spurs fan & judging by the Spurs' forum, you need a few of us around. take it easy OTRBball.
  10. hey Jazz, I see you made the jump to this place too! Very good for the both of us.
  11. Year You Became a Fan: Freaking birth. Why You Became a Fan: Born and raised in Hollywood Park, Texas. Favorite Spurs Player, All-Time: Timothy Theodore Duncan Favorite Spurs Coach, All-Time: Gregg Popovich Favorite Spurs Moment: Game 4, 2007 NBA Finals, Spurs sweep Cavs. A dynasty is made official and even better, "The (so-called) King" loses a series that will ultimately end up with him forming his own "big 3" in South Beach and forcing all the people of Cleveland into suicide. That's right, the Spurs are why Lebron is in Miami now. Amount of Spurs Games Attended: My dad, bro, and I would hit up at least 10 games per season. Sadly, I moved out to the east coast in 2004 and haven't seen them play in person since.
