Top-10 pick in the next NBA draft assuming he keeps playing with even 3/4 of this skill. Everyone knew he was going to take the go-ahead shot against MSU the other night, but he still was able to create the shot, and then hit it. He's quick, a good shooter, a good passer, and a team leader. Very interesting to watch this guy become a star right before our eyes. I'm expecting big things from him.

Great win for the Pacers. Sucks that we gave up the 30 point lead down the stretch in the fourth, but a very convincing win for us! 7-6 baby! We're looking pretty good lately.

Kings pursuing Aaron Brooks and Jeff Teague
The Lone Granger replied to Dash's topic in Sacramento Kings Team Forum
Aaron Brooks makes sense. Like Real Deal was saying, he would be able to his from downtown, as well as run the point full time for Sacramento. Teague on the other hand is just a very confusing prospect. His college career, and even some of his NBA career has been very promising. The other part of his NBA career on the other hand has him looking like nothing right now. There are other options for the Kings if they are interested. Daniel "Boobie" Gibson could be available from Cleveland. Either T.J. Ford or A.J. Price could be available from Indiana. I'm guessing they could probably make an offer for Kirk Hinrich or even Mario Chalmers. There's definitely a lot of options out there, and I'm expecting they'll find something. -
Tracy McGrady getting some of that lift back?
The Lone Granger replied to Dash's topic in Detroit Pistons Team Forum
He's looking like he could become a very solid role player for the Pistons assuming he stays healthy. Like everyone has been saying, he's really seemed to get some rythm back, and has been making some of these plays with his left. The weight like Nitro mentioned is another huge part of this in my opinion. With less weight, obviously that enables his already weak knees to be able to elevate better, and that's the reason that your seeing him get up this year. I was a huge T-Mac fan back in his Orlando and Houston days, and it's great to see him putting up some good moves lately. -
It all comes down to the improved three-point shooting that is opening up his game in my opinion. You look at him last year, and he was a very solid player off the bench that mainly drove to the bucket and finished, and occasionally hit a three. He's shooting 51% from behind the arc, and has made 29/57. If I'm not mistaken that's among the best in the league. Teams are having to put their defenders up on the arc to guard him, and that's also allowing him to drive past them to the bucket and either finish or kick out to teammates for open looks. He's really had this kind of potential, all that it hinged on was him developing a three-ball. Similar to if Rajon Rondo could hit the three, but not quite to that extreme.

Elton Brand suspended
The Lone Granger replied to Phightins's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
It was just an awful play. McGee was already risen up, and in the motion of throwing it down, why push him in the stomach and make him fall hard. In my opinion, that should be punished by more than just a one-game suspension, but I'm not the one making the decisions, probably a good thing. I've just been on the receiving end of some hard falls, and that's unacceptable of any athlete. I definitely lost some respect for Brand after seeing that play. -
Collison isn't a very flashy or big-named player, but he's still a very solid piece of the Thunder. He averages just 4 points, and 4 rebounds per game, but that's in very limited minutes. Like the article says, he is mainly a backup center for when/if Krstic goes down. Collison is an above-average replacement if that happens. Very solid move for Oklahoma City, and a good idea as well. Thoughts?

LeBron - "We're not having fun at all"
The Lone Granger replied to Big Penny's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Hmm, this is bad news for the Heat. If they aren't having fun, then is it possible that later on they might start turning and pointing fingers at each other? I know it doesn't look like Wade, Bosh, and James can all co-exist, so will there be some changes coming? I could see Bosh getting traded to acquire more pieces to build around James and Wade...but that's about all I can see them being able to get done. What changes do you see coming roster-wise in Miami? Or do you not see any? -
Welcome back man! Great to have another good, active poster back on OTR. See you around the forums.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving?
The Lone Granger replied to Cavamatic's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Heading to Illinois to be with the family, eat dinner, then come back and play a basketball game the next day . -
I would run it, what is involved in running it though?

Great win for us! We showed that we know how to play against, and can beat elite NBA teams. The Heat just couldn't get past our defense, and we hit shots down the stretch to seal the win. I'm getting really tired of hearing Heat fans blame everything on the coaching. Sure, maybe Spoelstra isn't getting the job done, but that is not the reason you are losing. You have to find away to beat defenses, and I haven't seen it so far. They just aren't playing smart, and judging by how many charges we took, you aren't very well disciplined against good defense. LeBron has always been killed by defense, see the Playoff series' against Boston and even the Magic. This is a huge win for the Pacers, and I'm starting to think that we may turn into a name for contenders in the near future. We played great defense, team basketball, and moved the ball well on offense to hit shots down the stretch. Do you guys think Indiana has a chance to compete in the Playoffs this year? Also a huge shoutout to Brandon Rush who is finally playing with confidence and using his athletic abilities to get in the paint and score. He put up 20 points tonight, and played excellent defense as well. Ford was huge off the bench as well.

What kind of player would you rather have on your team?
The Lone Granger replied to Riot's topic in General NBA Discussion
Give me the 24 PPG scorer any time. Like someone earlier said, he'd put you up and you would be able to rely on defense, and the rest of your team to finish the game off. The 5 PPG guy would be more likely to make a comeback in the last few minutes and come up short. There's no way you would win games with a player like that. -
Darren Collison Injured; Out Against Hawks?
The Lone Granger replied to The Lone Granger's topic in Indiana Pacers Team Forum
Update It will be great to have DC back in the lineup. This probably means that Price will be heading back to the suit and tie look though . Thoughts? -
Update: Dampier to Heat basically done (pg. 1)
The Lone Granger replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
He's probably better than anyone they have at the moment, and that's sad to say because they don't have much. Dampier is slow, fat, and lazy these days in my opinion, but maybe playing alongside names like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade will make him want a ring and play hard. Maybe, that's probably the best-case scenario for the Heat. -
Blake Griffin, and the Dunk Contest?
The Lone Granger replied to Purple&Gold's topic in General NBA Discussion
I would love to see both him and Eric Gordon in the dunk contest. He was getting up, but I agree with ABL in thinking that he's an in-game dunker. Maybe he could star in a slam dunk contest like Dwight Howard did, but he'll have to prove that to me. -
Toddler dies after fall at Lakers game
The Lone Granger replied to bigdog17k's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Devastating news. In all honesty though, the parents shouldn't have just been letting their toddler crawl around, keep him in your sight and honestly in your arms at all times at an even as big as an NBA basketball game. My prayers go out to the family for sure. R.I.P. -
Great to see the Packers force the Vikings to fire a coach! Great win for us, and good move for the Vikings. Childress wasn't getting the job done mainly because he was too in love with Favre to realize that he needed to get on board the rebuilding idea to stay with Minnesota.

This is a huge game for the Pacers! We played Orlando tough Saturday, but if we can beat Miami then people will realize that we are for real. We have two huge mis-matches in this game from what I've seen. Hibbert against any big man from the Heat, and then Collison vs. Arroyo. I really think we have a great shot to surprise some people here! Let's pick up this huge win and get back to .500 Indiana!

Nuggets Want Lopez In Anthony Deal?
The Lone Granger replied to The Regime's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
There's no way that the Nets should or would ever do this trade. Guru, do you realize how valuable a legit franchise center is in the NBA? If you have one, you can dominate teams just by getting the ball to that legit paint scorer. (See Pau Gasol with the Lakers, Dwight Howard with the Magic, and even Roy Hibbert growing up with the Pacers). Lopez is a classic center who has great post moves, quick on his feet, and great defensively as well. Why would the Nets want to trade him for a Carmelo Anthony who you never know what he's going to want? He could start wanting out of New Jersey after a couple seasons as well. Keep the solid all-around young team that you have going right now. -
Impressions of Coach Thibodeau?
The Lone Granger replied to Pooh25's topic in Chicago Bulls Team Forum
Yes, I'm a big fan of his. He's such a good all-around coach, and isn't the typical NBA coach. He worries first about defense, and then about scoring, and that's what makes him such a good coach for Chicago in my opinion. They have a lot of guys who play defense, and because he pushes them so hard to play D, they really have a strong defense. Granted, they aren't really jumping out at people as being one of the premier defenses yet, but they will get there. I'm really looking forward to seeing what TT accomplishes in Chicago in the coming seasons. -
UPDATE 2: Haslem fears his season is over
The Lone Granger replied to magicbalala245's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Tough news for the Heat. They don't have much frontcourt depth, so losing one of their decent big men in Haslem is a big loss for them. He can hit the mid-range jumper, and play defense, and rebound, so hopefully for the Heat he isn't out for long. -
