  1. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/18501-darren-collison-bringing-the-poster-to-lou-williams/ Look at that thread to see a Collison highlite. He hasn't been disappointing at all in my opinion, he's just having to share a lot of time with T.J. Ford for some reason. O'Brien isn't letting him stay in there for too long at once, so his stats aren't really showing what he's done for this team. When he's in the game he's a good scorer (13.7 per game), and he's also dishing the ball and setting up the offense very well also. Defensively we haven't seen anything like him from our point guards in recent history. He's getting his hands in the passing lane, and playing great on-ball defense as well. He's been just exactly what we expected, minus some minutes from O'Brien.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc9BTgy314g Thought I"d throw this one in there as well. Absolutely ridiculous!
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXvRUHhDg-8 This was ridiculous. Bringing some excitement back to Conseco Fieldhouse! Thoughts on the dunk?
  4. Great post man! Hibbert is nowhere close to the talent level that Olajuwon had, but I like the idea. He's got the same kind of body style to perform similar to his game. If he becomes better with his post moves, and quicker with them as well then he will be unstoppable. As it is, he has great moves, but because he's not a lot quicker than his opponents, he has to force shots over guys. While they do usually go in, he still could use the quickness to get wide open looks. I like the idea RD, good post.
  5. Simple question, do your teams' fans every make you mad for any reason? Lack of support or just annoying? I'd have to say that yes, as a Pacers fan I've been very angry with most of the fans that we used to have. Back in the Reggie Miller days, we had a ton of diehard fans, but once the going got a little rough, they gave up. Through those down times, they didn't root for their team at all, and we almost lost the Pacers from Indiana because of it. Finally, they are starting to come back because of the acquisition of Collison to go along with Granger and Hibbert and the rest of the group. We actually had a sellout crowd for our season opener against the 76ers, that's the first time that has happened in forever. Thoughts?
  6. Just got done playing an online match and won 67-53. I was the Wizards, he was the Nuggets. Good game, but John Wall took over down the stretch scoring the last 11 points of the game for me. Ended the game on an 11-2 run.
  7. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/69876/20101101/pacers_will_run_offense_through_hibbert/ I am absolutely loving the way our offense has looked running it through Roy. He's making smart decisions, and not only putting the ball in the basket, but he's making good passes, and most importantly moving without the ball. When any offense gets stagnant, it sucks, but when your players (especially your big men) move without the ball, it increases your looks at the bucket increase a ton. That being said, the best play I've seen us run is a pass from Dunleavy to the top of the key to Hibbert, and then a back door cut around Roy, and then Hibbert tossing a pass over the defense for a Dunleavy layup. It's worked every single time we've run it. I definitely want to keep throwing the ball to Hibbert until teams prove they can stop it effectively. Thoughts?
  8. Stuckey Not Upset Over Lack Of Extension http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/69874/20101101/stuckey_not_upset_over_lack_of_extension/ I still don't understand what is going on with this situation. Can't understand whether or not he doesn't want to sign one, or the team isn't going to offer him one right now. What do you guys think will happen with the Stucky-Pistons situation? Thoughts?
  9. Basketball: Indiana Pacers Football: Green Bay Packers Baseball: Chicago Cubs Those are the three sports that I follow. I've been trying to get into NHL Hockey, but it just hasn't happened yet...
  10. Still holding out hope that they aren't able to close a deal. I'm not sure exactly how much he will get. He deserves around $9-10 million per season in my opinion.
  11. Why not? For young players it's crucial that they get confidence early in their career, and if that's just by sending them down to the D-League so they can play good minutes then that's something you have to do. He's got potential, so why not see if you can't get it out of him?
  12. Good news for Portland. Fernandez is a huge boost to have off the bench, and he knows the system. He'll have a fairly big role even though it will not be in the starting lineup. Definitely good to see him grow up a bit and accept the new role.
  13. Welcome to the site man! Great to see the old RST core NBA posters starting to join here! Hope to have some good discussions with you around OTR. See you on the boards!
  14. I don't think Rose is the new AI at all, and I don't think you'll see another do what Iverson did. Rose is the first of himself. He's a point guard with a shooting guard's mentality and the skills for both positions. That being said, I really think he's going to put up monster numbers the rest of the year. Rose is definitely one of the best players in the league right now, and assuming he keeps playing the way he is, I could see some Wade-Rose comparisons coming up. They do like to play almost the exact same game from what I've seen as well.
  15. Welcome to the site man! Great to have you around here, basically every forum I've posted on you have as well. Can't wait to discuss some basketball with you here. Hope you have fun and stay active!
  16. Great game for Jennings for sure, and it's great because he was on my fantasy team starting tonight. Seriously though, the kid is trying to make a point to all his doubters that he's better than people give him credit for. I think judging by this triple-double performance, that he's been working on his passing and rebounding as well during the offseason. Like one of the posts said earlier in this thread, if he gets 8 assists per game, then he'll be an allstar. If he can put up a decent amount of rebounds together per game, then he'll definitely be better than any regular point guard all-star. Great for Bucks fans to see that.
  17. We're going to get this done! Yessir, the Packers defense has come up huge again today. Great win for us.
  18. Derrick Rose was wicked yet again tonight. 39 points! This dude is crazy so far this season. I can't wait to see what else he has in store for the rest of the season. Two man race for the scoring title possibly? Durant and Rose? And if he keeps playing this kind of basketball could he be a major MVP candidate?
  19. Pacers win! Great job guys! Hibbert, Collison, Granger, McRoberts, Hansbrough, Ford, and George are great to watch! Keep these wins coming.
  20. I would say that Harvin is ten times better than Lynch as well. The way he's being used in the Minnesota offense is definitely going to rack up some fantasy points for you. That being said, your RB situation doesn't look all that great, and with both Johnson's I think you could do this trade if you wanted to. It could go both ways in my opinion...but I would say to keep Harvin.
  21. It's definitely not a bad idea. It would be worth considering, but if it would interfere with the yearly awards I say don't worry about it. Granted, it might help the activity a bit, but I doubt it would be enough to really warrant worrying too much about it.
  22. That's pretty awesome man! Congrats, and if you can take pictures that would be pretty awesome. Either way have fun!
  23. Well, we have like 55 people that like the site, so I'm guessing that most of them are from here...
  24. Pacers need to pick up this win! Let's get above .500 and get this party started in Indiana! Let's go Pacers.
