BTW, I'd much rather deal the star NOW rather than LATER. The Warriors did this with Monta. I liked trading him for a number of reasons.. shot selection, defense, finally getting a legit (albeit injury prone) big... but also because he has an opt out clause after the 2012-13 season that he most certainly is opting out of.

I don't think that LA is the clear-cut better team as of right now. They will have the same chemistry issues to work out that the Thunder will.

What changes a lot is the playmaking for the 2nd unit... Or lack thereof. Harden was counted on a lot to not only score while Westbrook and/or Durant were getting breathers, but to create for others. Martin can fill the scoring void off the bench, but he simply lacks the playmaking skills. I think that role will now fall to either Reggie Jackson or Eric Maynor to step up and make sure OKC's offense doesnt bog down when Westy and Durant aren't in the game.
