i just got back from the store... so i missed the first 7 minutes of the 3rd quarter... but the Warriors are up 26-8 in the 3rd quarter as i write this... Dorell Wright is beasting.

comparing who ges the ball in the 4th Q in bball to who gets the ball in the 2nd half in football isn't even close... when the 1st half winds down there is always someone asking... "who gets the ball first at the start of the 2nd half"? you never get that question asked in basketball,.. "who gets the ball first in the 4th Q"? WTH? the only time the jump ball matters to me is in overtime. scoring first and putting your opponent behind early in OT is important IMO.

Griffin. he is already commanding double teams and still making the right play... at least from what i've seen in his first two games. ill take the big over the PG in this case.

Monta not putting on the same scoring display. Griffin picks up 2 quick offensive fouls in the middle of the 3rd to give him 3 total fouls. clearly an offensive focal point. Baron looking timid? Foul trouble to haunt the Warriors front line all season? Warriors bench actually wasnt bad in the 1st half. Reggie Williams as the ball handler behind Curry and Monta is going to be a problem the Warriors NEED to address at some point this year. Warriors with the lead at the half by 4, 58-54 EDIT: im sorry.. but Dorell Wright needs mention. fantastic first half. 4-5 shooting, 2 of 3 from deep. 10 points, 3 rebounds total.

i thought it was outwards display of emotion towards the ref that wasnt allowed... as i already said though... the T on LBJ was horrid... simply to call it on Howard kuz he asked, in what looked to be a calm voice, "how was that a foul"? wouldnt be right and it wouldnt make things 'even'

Dwight stood there and looked as though he was talking to the REF. i do agree that LBJ shouldnt have gotten his Technical... but there was definitely more emotion from LBJ than Dwight

we will already be able to tell which is "the game of the night" be turning on ESPN or TNT on most nights. most likely, the Game of the Night will be televised nationally and will be getting most of the attention regardless.

who was it that told me the other day that Dwight was consistent from outside the paint with that bank shot? Stu Scott just said that Dwight had only 21 made baskets from outside the paint last year... i dont call 1 every 5 games consistent! what he displayed against the Wizards last night and now the Heat tonight is what id call consistent!

uh oh. while the win over Houston on Opening Night was great, i came out of that game doing the same thing I was going into the game: worrying about Curry's ankle. I know he is only day to day, but he turned it over again in the Houston game AND missed practice on Thursday. If i was the team I'd strongly consider sitting him for 4-5 days straight and let this thing heal all the way before trotting him out there again. IMO, sitting and missing 2 games now is better than missing 4-6 games later on. either way... i REALLY hope Monta keeps his hot streak going into game number 2 tonight!

why isn't this a "Durant or LBJ" post? Durant has things on Roy that you can't teach. Such as size and reach. Being physically gifted doesn't necessarily MAKE the player, but with Durants physical attributes, determination to win and his skill set which allows him to get any shot he wants at any point in the game... id have to take him over Roy.
