  1. never thought i'd be saying this but.... LEAVE HIM IN! Don't take Lee out!
  2. Freddy Sanchez says "Cliff Lee WHO"? 3 for 3 with 3 doubles in the first 5 innings
  3. he said this because he already knew that his team couldnt play defense and so therefore will be double teaming alot of bigs leaving shooters open.. if the shooters make the shot then PHOENIX is screwed, and if they miss the shot PHOENIX is still screwed since they cant get the rebound! Portland's 18 offensive rebounds vs. Phoenix were the most of the 6 teams playing on opening night... Batum's 5 by himself were the most for any player! but maybe he just knew he'd be turning the ball over at a horrific rate and that he would be hurting his team that way!
  4. Imagine the headlines after a LBJ-less Cavs beat the Celtics... something LBJs new team couldnt do...
  5. ill say this again, but less in-depth if the Lakers don't find a big they can use off the bench... Ratliff and Caracter don't count... they won't have the success that most people are proclaiming they will have... Dampier anyone?
  6. Fish invited me... you know that STATcity guy... i blame him for gettin me hooked
  7. who said Cliff Lee was un-hittable? ive seen more well-hit balls off Cliff Lee in 3 innings than i have off Tim Lincecum this whole postseason!
  8. ill be on these types of lists in the future! BANK on it!
  9. 2-0 right now in the Bottom of the 3rd in Game 1. I have noticed: alot of balls are finding Vlad in Right Field. Cliff Lee really is amazing. The Rangers are a ton better at scrapping out runs than the Giants. I do see the Giants pitching limiting big innings from them though. I really hope the Giants don't get shut out... the Giants need something to hang their hats on for Game 5 in Texas vs. Lee Go Giants!
  10. The Warriors have to hope the Rockets are tired from playing on a 2nd day of a back-to-back to open the season. Maybe Yao doesnt play up to his full 24 minute limit, maybe he doesn't play at all. But if the Warriors are going to win, they will need to feed off the always AMAZING Warriors home arena crowd and use the Rockets tired legs against them. Not only that, but Steph Curry HAS to play. i haven't checked any of the usual sites to see if he will be playing tonight, but i did hear prior to today that his ankle was getting better... so like every other Warriors fan, i hope he will be in the lineup and matching Aaron Brooks point for point! I also want to check out the "new" commitment the Warriors have to defense. It wasn't atrocious in the preseason like it was all last season, but lets see if that carries over to when the games count! Go Warriors!
  11. was one of kingfish's rhymes stolen from 8 mile? for the thought of that possibility i have to go with Fish7718... StatCity..
  12. Well it depends what you want to define as "breakout" player. i think Dorell Wright's game will be really well-rounded and he could approach 1-1-1 with treys steals and blocks. He has a shot to be averaging 3+ assists to go along with 12-14 points and 6+ rebounds. not to mention there has been talk of him initiating the offense at time as well as guarding the opposing team's best perimeter player. JJ Hickson will finally be getting minutes in Cleveland... but does 13-7 with a block make him a breakout guy? im not sure.. but if he gets 17 and 9 with 1.5 blocks then id say that is breakout worthy... but definitely wouldnt say hes the breakout guy if Kevin Love averages 22 points and 13 rebounds... Roy Hibbert is the only Pacers post player worth a damn IMO. maybe Hansbourgh and McRoberts prove me wrong... but i doubt it. the guy is over 7"1 right? i believe he is 7"3 but not sure... definitely know he's over 7"1. the guys rebounds numbers aren't where they should be for a guy his height and length.... but he has a definite shot at 18 points 10 rebounds and 2+ blocks this year... plus he can pass the ball out of the high post and find the open shooters... but does he qualify as a breakout player if Darren Collison has a big statline? which player would be more responsible for the Pacers winning, if they do win, and both Collison and Hibbert have good statlines? Anthony Morrow is a lights out shooter. he's not necessarily a scorer IMO, but he can shoot the heck out of the ball. if given a consistent 30 minutes for 80+ games does him scoring 12 points with 2 treys and good %'s qualify him as a breakout player? if i had to pick one of the 4 i previously named id have to go with Hibbert. i think he has the biggest opportunity and will get the most touches/reps to get the big stat line needed to be a breakout guy. however... i think id have to agree with the guy that went with Kevin Love. if the preseason is even the slightest indication as to what is ahead for him.... watch out!
  13. forgot about Beasley... He definitely needs to be that list.
  14. A number of players can be mentioned here... Dorell Wright, JJ Hickson, Roy Hibbert, Anthony Morrow... among others
  15. i honestly think the Bucks take a step back this year. i think they will be playing at least 1/4 of their games without Bogut this year. Maggette will be in and out of the lineup on his way to playing 70-75 games. The other teams in the NBA aren't going to sleep on these guys from Milwaukee now as well. Teams are going to get up for games against them and want to test their abilities against a team that was playoff caliber the year before. i see them as a 6-8 seed.
  16. The Champs are the Champs until beaten, its obvious that many across America think that way.
  17. definitely has a chance to develop into a perennial all-star with a Sportscenter top 10 highlight virtually every game.
  18. bye week came at the best time possible for them...
  19. if the offer includes both Gallinari and AR4 as well as Curry and a draft pick... then i could see why the Knicks wouldn't 'hit the accept button' right away... but if it's only 1 of Gallinari and AR4 then they really need to hop on it... NOW.
  20. id really be looking for a defensive minded player as a replacement and not another 3 point shooter. they already have guys who can spread the floor in House and James Jones as well as Chalmers. IMO they need a guy like Ronnie Brewer over a Mike Miller replacement.
  21. preseason matchup where the stars will get no more than 30 minutes kuz they dont want to "expose" how it will really like during the regular season
