Biggest retard moment today For lunch, all the people I sit with decided to get food from the Papa Johns at school, this is like 5 people (including me). Two slices of pizza plus a drink is about $10, but an entire pizza (6 huge slices) is $14. So we all ended up spending like $50 rather than buying an entire pizza for like $14, maybe buying two for $28. The lady who charged ended up telling us this after she gave us the pizza, and we looked at each other in amazement.

Dropping the class is the same as failing it in terms of money. You will probably end up taking it again and having to pay for it again. I don't know if they charge you extra for dropping (which is kind of a dick move)

DROP! Once you are failing a class, GTFO out of there unless you know there is a good curve. I learned my lesson already. I stuck by two classes that I was failing, believing I could get myself out of it by studying my ass off, but I realized I am not the kind of student who can pass a class when the teacher is of no help. My school allows you to fail 3 classes and replace the grade by taking it again and it won't hurt your GPA, after that, you keep the grade in your GPA. I already used that twice on classes that aren't even related to my major, but I went from an F to an A both times, which should tell you how much the teacher factors into the grade.

I took AP Spanish in high school and it was such a joke...but honors spanish on the other hand was impossible.

I have been learning spanish my whole life, I just hate speaking it and writing it. I can understand it perfectly and I can get my point across, but anytime my grandparents ask me a detailed question I have to sit there like an idiot thinking of what to say lol Its funny though because it was my first language, I watch old home videos of myself (and my brother and sister), and we all spoke perfect spanish. Its like the older I got, the worse my spanish got.

I agree with the useless topic thing. I read all the recent topics on the right hand side and when I feel like I have nothing to contribute, I don't click it. This is where some problems arise as well. People will click those useless topics and start a debate for the sole purpose of stirring up trouble. You won't ever stop people from arguing because everyone has a different opinion and personality, but everyone here knows other members limits by now. Like I am the kind of guy that avoids arguments because I have never in my life been good at comebacks and I generally don't like getting into them. There are people here than get into arguments and don't know when to end it.

Holy lord, I found a tamagotchi in my attic while looking for the Halloween stuff. I had at least 3 of those because they would piss me off in the middle of the night and I would run them under water so it would just break the tamagotchi because I don't think it was possible to turn them off. I always wanted another one though.

I think the board is fairly active once the season gets going and when its ending, but the middle of the season and off season is just dead. The main reason is I think all our members represent maybe like 7 NBA teams, and there are no active members for other teams. Lakers and Heat game threads easily make it to 2 pages, cause they are the most controversial teams and are well represented on the site. I just don't think its possible to bring in like one new member per month, it needs to be a lot of people at once. Sort of like incoming freshman to a school, alone they feel extremely left out, but together they can get to know each other and actually stick around. I don't remember the last member to reach 500 posts, but that person probably registered a few years ago. Certainly there are people out there like us 5-6 years ago, looking around these sites. Like 90% of this site is 18-25 right now.

This genetics class is killing me. I printed out 7 old exams the teacher posted, and found the answers for all of them. The last 4 exams have been exactly the same and he said in class to focus on the most recent exams. So I did that. Keep in mind there is no book, his lecture is useless, and his power points are just pictures. So the only way to study is memorize old exams I guess. So I take the test and 2 out of the 25 questions from the most recent exams are on the test and the other 23 are some other BS he never talked about. I managed to get 17 right, but I have no idea what to do in this class. The amazing thing is people get over 20 right, so I am convinced there is something I don't know about when it comes to getting good grades on these tests. All the people I know in that class are on the same boat as me, so I have no idea what to do.

Holy cow, we actually won, but we were on the verge of blowing another game. Should be 4-1 right now, but I am happy with the way we have played this season. The defense is great, but Tannehill needs to learn how to throw a TD, he only has two this year.
