  1. This can go either way, after watching this Heat team all year, I don't know enough to determine how we will play in this series. We are very inconsistent, but if we can get at least one role player involved along with Wade, Bosh and Lebron we have a chance. Battier was big in game 7 and I hope it continues. I hope we use Joel Anthony more in this series because he is a great defender and has actually somewhat improved on offense.
  2. First time in my life I have studied for a test for days in advance rather that the day before....this is so damn boring.
  3. You are the Skip Bayless of OTR...you find a way to disagree with the general consensus on certain topics. How is the NL East a shitty division?
  4. Rondo was being little girl the whole series, I could have told you from game 1 he would not stick around if we ended up winning. Lebron and Wade were being friendly with him on the court as well, and then he started a little scuffle with Wade in Game 7 and he was just being a jerk and complaining about us in every interview he got.
  5. Who started the glasses thing? Everyone is doing it.
  6. I was being sarcastic, but I am pretty sure Wade ended any hopes you guys had of coming back in this game by hitting those jumpers and then getting that three point play. Anyways, excited to see this finals matchup.
  7. D-Wade is the greatest of all time, I have no doubt he will draw those fouls Perkins is always in foul trouble when we play him, he is not too slick with his fouls
  8. They shut down post players, Wade and Lebron are different. They have post moves, but its more of a hybrid of post-mid range. Not saying they won't slow us down in some way, but do you honestly think their bigs can go the entire game without getting in foul trouble? If your D-Whistle name lives up to the expectations, they will get those fouls pretty quickly.
  9. I am not buying it, Wade and Lebron will get to the line and get them in foul trouble.
  10. The Thunder will be no easy task, but their size does not really concern me. We have been through 2 entire seasons and post seasons of teams with a "solid post game" and bla bla, and we usually have success in those games. My concern is Durant, Westbrook, and Harden. Wade and Westbrook are very much the same. They can either suck horribly, or be unstoppable. Durant and Lebron will go at it, one guy will get the best of the other in certain games, but their contributions will cancel each other out. The main factor in this series is Chris Bosh and the role players. If they play like they did tonight, we can be very competitive. If we come in to OKC and win game 1 or 2, I will feel very happy with this team. I don't think we will win every home game, but I do not want to come back to Miami down 0-2. I have no idea who will win this series, OKC is a good team. They are fortunate to have a such a good group together under the salary cap, but this is the end of the road for that team as it is. Should be a very exciting series.
  11. Zo is still a beast, he reminds me of the Rock lol
  12. I just think Zo should still be on this team lol...did you see that size of that vein on his head? That is the sign of a badass.
  13. You gotta root for the East, can't disrespect the coast you live on.
  14. Thank you Heat, way to fight back in this series. Big props to the Celtics, could have easily won this series, but we got more luck on our side.
  15. I am going to have a heart attack in this game, every time we get the lead, we do something stupid. When we are on defense, I watch Ray Allen run through like 15 screens and he is always open, scares the shit out of me.
  16. Yesss....there is the crowd, I wish they did that more often. It just sounds like primal screams, there was no chant at all lol
  17. I highly doubt we win by double digits...I feel we will get off to a slow start, Wade will pull his usual shenanigans, and so on....game won't get interesting until the 4th because we will be behind 5-12 points most of the way, and Rondo will have a monster game. Quote me boiii lol I hope I am dead wrong, but I like to doubt the team until they show they are focused.
  18. They are right though, who doesn't want to see Lebron vs Durant? Its also perfect drama if Lebron loses cause then they can hang on Durant's nuts for a while. You don't gain much from the Celtics winning if you are the NBA. Can't say the NBA fixed game 6 though, if that was their aim, it wasn't very evident.
  19. If we (Lebron) come out with the same focus as game 6, I like our chances. Boston was not hitting their shots in game 6 though, Pierce and Allen have games where they don't miss a three to save their lives, and Pierce got in foul trouble early. As long as we keep Pierce in foul trouble (which is kind of easy to do) and play defense, I think the offense will fix itself. I am not going to say this is a win for sure, we haven't been too amazing at home this post season, but I think we should win this game.
  20. I was just about to post this, I clicked on the baseball forum subforum and it took me back to the index.
  21. The Marlins sucks again, scored like 3 runs in their last 4 games. Went from 1st to 4th in the NL East in just a few days.
  22. In the back of my mind, I knew the site was not going to shut down. It did sound very convincing though lol
  23. Hmm, I haven't seen anyone outside of Miami who likes them. I guess its because I haven't seen anyone here just randomly become a Heat fan.
  24. I don't understand why our fans are not loud, Cuban people are loud as shit in every other setting you put them in. The games I go to are usually pretty loud, it just takes something exciting or a close game. I will be the first to say the fans spend like 90% of the game giving a so so effort in terms of cheering, but when its needed, they will stand up and cheer. Celtics fans were cheering with the Celtics down 15 and making a single basket, no way in hell Miami fans would cheer that. That being said, if you go to Sports Grill or Hooters to watch the game, everyone is crazy from beginning to end.
  25. If Battier, Miller, Chalmers and Haslem can play at their best in the same game, we might come close to their supporting cast, but we are way too inconsistent to do that.
